HD Games work on my x8..
try using custom ROM & kernel..
If doesn't work, You must looking for apk that port to x8 (HVGA game)..
google is our friends..
look man first i would resume that you dont know nothing about roms.
some games need more than android 2.1 (but the games you puschased i think is ok) so there are some updates ,that are not by sony ericsson ,and they are called roms, check this and this
usually the roms have better performance and thats because a gamer should use them
the second part is that you should increase your phones performance : with task killer you can free up some ram and with overclock you can increase cpu frequency
there and some other tips. you may check this out(those i have mention above included)
here is a video on how to increase performance in general for android:
also i would suggest you not to purchase games before you make sure that they run on your device(you can search on google or in youtube if anyone with the same device play them)
ps: sorry if you know most of them! i tried to write sth which someone with the same problem and without the knowledge would understand. i hope you found it helpfull!
As i know , there is no way to play 9mm on our devices.

[Q] This X8 with resolution HDPI.

How can I increase the screen resolution as the X8 in this video?
This X8 resolution has HDPI... ??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ow43AZ9HdPI
Not HDPI , change in build.prop lcd density to 140
Sent from my E15i using XDA
Is this possible????
sent from my mini by nAa
I can do this without letting in bugs?
In the video, the author says that if you use it in another ROM, GooglePlay will not download applications.
If you change lcd density , no bugs , maybe visual distorsions in some apps

W8->X10mini trade worth?

Guys is it worth to swap mo phone with X10 mini or X10 mini pro?
No. You can change it to Xperia Mini Pro that one is worth it.
Sent from my E15i using XDA Premium App
What really worries me is the games that I use to play on W8. But I heard X10mini is faster cause of its lower resolution. I can't afford to buy xmini yet

LCD density ?

I am totally confused as to what density should be set for best experience on our galaxy mini . Can you guys please tell what all are you using ?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
That of stock
No use changing density, lot of apps will stop working and you'll get lot of fc's... btw. that was already discussed some time ago...
But isn't it helpful for games also decreasing it a bit should be no problem I guess if fcs then a wipe data can fix that.

If density changes can not download from market
It doesn't work like that, it depends on apps, and changing density is causing incompatibilities
Oh OK thanks
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
Although you can make the screen seem larger by making everything smaller. I think it's best to leave it as it is

density can effect only apps, games will not have any change
CM7.2 looks great on 110 DPI, but apps like xda app, dropbox, and a couple of others do not work for me. But yeah, more stuff fits on the screen, and my small fingers like it . Anyway, i want the apps mentioned above to work, so stock 120DPI it is

The DPI of the display is how many physical pixels there are in one inch square of the phones screen, software cannot change this.
There may be software that could possibly force the phone to use a lower resolution, but i'm not sure why you would want that.

Hi, Thx for the reply, there are few apps in the plays store that can change the DPI, But many will brick the phone, I had seen few people chaining the DPI of Xperia Z to make sure there will be extra info displayed on the screen that u dont need to scroll, Also that i want this is be same as my previous phone's DPI

I got bricked after using an app.
If you're rooted you can edit the build.prop yourself, or use Xposed to control each app separately.
