[Q] Bricked I Think, Please Help.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S, 1st gen.
I was flashing using odin going from stock android to a darky rom when the battery fell out almost exactly half way through the transfer. Obviously enough it odin got mad and now the phone is ... dead. I have had no success whatsoever in getting any kind of a reaction from it. None of the buttons work. Plugging it in, wall or computer, nothing. Is there anything that can be done for it?
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
look at that !

regards
write to samsung support that your phone crashe while updating it over kies...
they will send u a mail with the adress of a repaircenter where to send it
they will repair it and you will get it back in a week and it will only cost about 5 euro for the package to send

Finally, i got hard bricked...

Hello. Sorry for my english.
I've been living on the edge, like many of us LOL, and i finally got hard bricked. No battery charge, logo, download mode. Nothing. Just a black screen.
I was using ICS stunner 1.4.26 and decided to flash Catastrophic Meltdown 9 (CM9 for friends). The problems was that my battery died when it was installing the kernel, or the boot, i dont know.
So, i have been reading a lot those days but nothing seems to work. I have ordered a Jig but i think is not going to work. Yesterday i used windows, and something was detected when i plugged in the usb, but Odin not.Today it does not work, and windows doesnt play any sound. Any idea? A Jag?
I should say this is the best mobile phone i have ever touched. I would be eternal grateful with all of you if we could fix this mess. I was aware that there were risks. Im aware now maybe i cant fixit and im not gonna blame anyone because it was my responsability, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Same thing happened to me, nothing worked (tried the JIG). I had to send it in for repair, but they didn't see that it was my fault (still had warranty).

From my experience the only way u can get ur phone back in service is go to ssc and make some reasonable reason why ur phone is dead, so u can still claim for warranty and I am sure they will replace ur engine/mobo like my friends did a month ago.

It has nothing to do with your battery dying and everything with trying to flash CM9 directly from super-dangerous LP5 or LP6 leak ICS kernel.
No jig or JTag will revive your phone now.
However, if your Note refuses to go into download or recovery mode, you are in luck - if you have a warranty, that is. Just take your phone to the service center and tell them that it died when updating via Kies. There is no way for them to tell what had really happened and they will have to replace your motherboard free of charge.
Sadly, jig didnt solve the problem. Battery isnt hot when plugged in, is my motherboard fried by flashing the note?
Could a jtag solve the problem?
Try to take it back in for warranty before attempting a JTAG and voiding the warranty (that they can tell)

Yeah, that's a classic superbrick, need replacement mobo. Sorry dude. As mentioned just say you were updating ics ota or through kies.

I got the same problem few days back..I went to service center and said that i got an ota update and after downloading had completed,it started rebooting and there i got some errors and finally my phone is dead
They were unable to find the exact reason why it got bricked as it was unable to enter download or recovery mode
So they replaced the motherboard under warrenty
Better this it once
All the best :good:
I dont think that warranty thing is gonna work, because i have lost some inside cover screws... yeah, thats a long story trying to fix it. If i borrow a motherboard... could i recover my data? because thats all i want at the moment. Or, is there any website where i can buy it? Otherwise, im going to try it with the warranty...

[Q] Xperia TX problem? Please help me!!!!

Hi everyone, I purchased my Xperia TX 2 months ago in Singapore and now I return to my home country- Vietnam. My phone was working good till last week.
I was surfing via 3G on my phone and i remember it was 3% battery left and then BANGGG...My phone turned black and i though it was out of battery.
Then I charged it on wall socket as usual and saw the red notification light as usual but it disappeared after a while. I couldnt turn it on anymore. I charged it for 4 hours and the screen kept the same.
I have tried to press "power +up/down volume" keys and its still frozen. Only the red light vibrates and nothing more.
I DIDNT unlock the boot loader, water, or drop it. I use my phone for daily uses and usually connect with the Sony Companion so I make sure again its not rooted yet.
Finally, I bring it on the customer service and they said its because of my fault to unplugged it when flashing ROM bla bla bla. i though Its because they have not seen any problem like this before since Xperia TX has not been released in Vietnam yet and they could not turn the phone on or connect it to PC. So, I left it there this morning and wait for the result.:crying:
Does anyone have the same problem with me? Is it the hardware or software problem? Is it the Sleep of Death (SOD) mentioned in some thread here? PLEASE show me how to fix it!
Have you tried taking out the battery, wait awhile and put it back again and plug the phone for charging again?
But since it's already in the service center, no need to worry, they can repair whatever the problem is.

you should have tried the backup and restore app of Sony bro, copy the backup to your PC and then restore it later after your phone got back from service center
anyways, next time try that app, it saves a lot of time
and about service center, they are quite very good in service quality

Yesterday i tried removing the battery and it was no use. I am mad because i just lightly used the product for less than 2 weeks, took good care of it, and wont be able to return it because I am in another country. So that is 539 USD wasted.
Hey, anything could solve this problem?
As many threads about this (Or a similar problem) suggest you just need to leave you rphone on charge for at least 24 hours. Use a wll charger not a USB.
Do not touch the phone in this time, just wait. If after this it does not charge, it appears your battery is FUBAR'd
Hey, device more than 24 hours when there is no change, still red light. I had some battery nothing helps. Help please what can be done? Thank you.

Do you know someone else with a phone that yu could borrow their battery to see?
I take it you have checked whether the charger works and tried other chargers?
Another trick I have heard of in the old X10 forum is to cut the end of your charger lead and directly put red wire onto positive end of battery and black wire onto the negative end and charge the battery that way. But do this at your own risk. I have no way of knowing if this will work on the TX and it may even make the battery worse....but for a last chance it may be worth a go.
Edit
Also, its not yet been 24 hours since my post saying leave it plugged in for 24 hours...so maybe following instructions to the letter is something to go with in the future...
Hey, thanks for the experience to help and sorry for publication in both forums. I just gave up. I tried another battery I have another battery ... Did not work I think just the CPU burned or something? Sony is waiting for a reply on the matter. Unfortunately I did not buy the device in my country is not out here so I'm not sure I'd have a warranty. Thanks again

Bought new phone instead of bricked one.

Does I9305 suffer with sudden death?

Hello,
I have a question. Does the I9305 (S3 LTE) suffer with sudden death like normal I9300? Or this problem had only first pack of I9300? And now this problem is solved? I couldn't find an answer anywhere.
U think it is only for the exynos based s3

I'm not pretty experienced in this.
Every advice I get is useful for me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091045
I didn't hear of any I9305 to have a sudden death so i'd say is oki,
okay thank you guys
for sure I tried to check my phone with ECMM and it looks like all right.
thank you again.
Yes it does
I would say, yes it does effect the i9305 as well. I had a i9305 which I bought on kogan.com.au in October last year and it died on me on Monday last week! The phone just decided to restart itself out of the blue (wasn't even using it at the time, just sitting on my desk next to the computer - not plugged into anything), then hang on the boot splash screen. It is just over 230 days old and has been sent back to Kogan for warranty claim.
I only discovered this phenomenon existed once it happened to me and started researching it, by this time it was too late for me!

S Pen detection takes time

I bought Note 5 and facing issue with s pen...
As u remove s pen it takes 20 - 30 seconds to detect and start working. When contacted to seller he says there is a system update with service center. This update is not available through OTA.
Has anyone faced this issue?
This is second Note 5 from seller and has same issue.
I have the same issue...got a replacement. .even that handset had the same issue...now got DOA for a third handset...let's see how it goes. Even I think it's a software bug as my first phone was made in October and second one in November so different batches. If this 3rd handset also has the same issue then I'll wait out for a firmare update. I've had enough share of my head banging with Samsung service center. In the meanwhile if someone has a solution, please do share. Also just wondering how come this isn't a widespread issue.

Ok guys a little update on spen lag issue.
I finally got my third handset as my previous 2 had serious issues wrt spen lag. This one however is free from all issues and spen response is instantaneous. So my previous theories about spen lag due to software bug stands invalidated.
If anyone can then they must get DOA for a new phone since spen lag is a hardware issue. I'm running all same apps and latest firmware version as previous phones having spen lag.
Hope this info is useful.
Thanks

Hi amberjayna,
After a long fight with seller they have opened third box and luckily no issues in that. I think this issue is on particular batch of production. Croma and Ezone in Mumbai have faced this issue. All phones were Indian made.
Are you from India?
the same s pen detection issue with my note 5

Hi Guys,
I got DOA from Samsung Service Centre, they check it and updated software but nothing works and at last they provide me a DOA and now i am gonna replace it from Seller.

Yup I'm from India... I don't think it's a batch issue as my first piece had Oct. Manufacturing date.. 2nd one was Nov. And now this third one which is lag free is from same Nov. Batch. So I think it's a random manufacturing defect. One of the technician told me that its a spen sensor alignment issue.

I have same problem too. S-pen work very well all the time but some time have delay to detection of removing pen. For example some times when the screen off and I remove the pen I should wait 10 or 20 seconds until screen-off meme get start. This happens when I remove pen after hours. Pen always work even when it not detected but the air commend appear with few seconds delay.
Note 5 (SM-N920C)
Sorry for bad English
Found a solution. Uncheck S Pen power saver in settings > s pen. Detection will takes time yet but the pen will work even when does not detected. If the seller don't change your device I think it's only way u have. But it's may reduce your battery life.

This thing worked for me....
Uncheck S Pen power saver in settings > s pen.
I have a galaxy note 5 that I bought from Seoul. By mistake (my little daughter) was introduced the S-pen vice versa, it remains locked. Of course the sensor was broken. I went in for repair, went well but a period of some time there was a delay in removal pen, sometimes it does not work at all.
How is solving the problem? Rewriting software or what?
Thank you.
