Install GB before go ICS
I think there's no ICS 3 file to flash with ODIN because samsung does not provide it.
So you must install GB 2.3.x before go to ICS.
After install GB then you install CWM then install ICS from CWM.
Hope it help.

[Q] Flash RevolutionRom on SGS I9000

Hi guys,
I'm really interested in flashing Revolution Rom to my SGS1. It currently has CyanogenMod7 on it.
I've looked at the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236432
but can't figure out if I'm meant to just flash the rom or if I somehow need to flash a stock Gingerbread first before then flashing the REvolutionROM.
Can anyone assist?
Apologies if this question's already been asked, I did a thorough search but couldn't find anything. Happy if you just point me to another thread if it's already answered.
thanks
Aaron
To revert from CM7 to any other samsung rom you need to first flash a full PDA stock rom with odin. with repartition. and 512 pit.
then you can change to what ever rom you want.

First of all u dunn have to unzip the file... Put the file into your SD Card (Internal or External)
Now these will be the steps to flash Rom.
If ur rooted and have CWM.
Then :-
Reboot into CWM Recovery.
Flash JBRoid Cleaner.
Flash Abyss 4.2
Reboot Recovery.
Now you will have Redpill Recovery (Red Version)
Wipe Cache/Dalvik/Data.
Flash Zip File u have downloaded.
Reboot System.
And please search before you open a new thread as it makes a cost for the XDA...Just a suggestion..If u need further information or links post here... I'll try to help ya out at my best...

About stock ics 4.0.4

I wanna ask somthing about galaxy note

You will not be able to update via KIES / OTA with your setup (same as mine)
Options are;
- Flash the custom Kernel back in via CWM
- Downgrade to Stock GB and update via KIES / OTA from there then root and add desired kernel
- Flash the 4.0.4 Stock ROM via PC Odin.
Cheers
I was using the same configuration i.e. ICS stock 4.0.3 with speedmod kernel. I updated to 4.0.4 via mobile odin (4.0.4 downloaded from dr.ketan stock rom -german open). Speedmod has eMMC cap erase disable so it is safe to flash via mobile odin from 4.0.3 with speedmod kernel to 4.0.4.
now i m on ics 4.0.4 with speedmod k3-9

Nice - I know SpeedMod has the eMMC Cap Erase disabled, I've just never had the balls to test it out
Can anyone tell me the steps to flash 4.0.4 via mobile odin
And should i do factory reset after that
I don't want to lose my apps

before anything, just a precaution. Always remember to backup your phone. Now the steps to flash to 4.0.4 thru mobile odin
1. download your stock 4.0.4 ics firmware specific to your region in www.samfirmware.com in your pc or laptop
2. Extract the zip file you've downloaded, it should have the tar.md5 inside. and copy the tar.md5 file to your external sd card.
3. using mobile odin, navigate to OPEN file and go to the destination /folder where you've saved the tar.md5 file (inside your sdcard)
4. In mobile odin, scroll down and tap on Flash fimrware. Hit continue and it will flash your phone after that to the latest stock 4.0.4 ROM.
You don't need to perform a factory reset.
Really thank u man i will do that now

Hi. I hope it is ok to ask something here about icw 4.0.4 instead of posting a new thread...
I have tried the stock rom for open german ics 4.04 and the hongkong ics 4.04 on my galaxy note. I thought international version stock rom should have minor differences only, but it turns out that these two stock roms are quiet different.
Open germany version has pop up video with the old gallery apk.
Hongkong version has NO pop up video but came with a very nice new gallery apk.
I wonder which ics 4.0.4 region/version is the most complete rom?
If there are non, how can I combine them?
Thanks

[Q] From stock GB to JB

Hi,
I've just downgraded my note to the stock GB which I downloaded from here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and to be honest, I couldn't stand with the lagging and slow performance with GB. So I've read this article about upgrading to JB;
http://droidviews.com/2012/jelly-bean-official-test-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-note-gt-n7000/
so just one simple question, can I directly flashed my note straight to this new firmware without going step-by-step from GB to ICS then JB?
Cheers
if that zip file has a tar file inside, then yes you can flash it using PC odin directly
no need to install ics, you can always use pc odin to flash any rom in tar. format, or simply by installing abyss kernel then put your rom in sd card and you are good to go with full wipe...

what would happen if i didnt full wipe my note after flashed?
If you flashed JB using odin, I does not need a wipe.
