Hello everybody. I want to ask our developers, will we get Android 4.1? If not - why, if yes - when? Thanks for answers .
I m not a developer but i can say we can only get jb frm cm sources
Otherwise it is difficult to port aosp build
If sir maclaw and team successfully make working aosp ics for armv6 we can probabily get jb too

Best Regards
It is hard to get a stable ics as of now it is goin to take minimum 6 to 7 seven months before a bugfree ics and then only we can look forward to jb we muat have patience.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
Well, when the sources are out, we'll see about that
Patience is a virtue moreover there isn't much difference in user looks
Just a few add ons here and there moreover I doubt about how will this device go on with jb.But anyways well see that expect stable jb for our device by early 2013.Many experimental build will start popping out soon

there won't be fully working ics/jb because no one willing to re-write damn codecs... y'all have fully working cm7, be happy with that, or buy yourself nexus s or one x, which have ics from the start. Peoples! Stop dreaming and expecting wonders from heavily outdated phone!
Maybe the devs will do something, if the rest of the people is willing to wait!
AOKP build with modified libstagefrighthw.so can play 720p @ ~10 (maybe more) fps, HQ youtube works ( as testers reported ). If AntiBillOS will give permissions camera will be working with 3rd party apps too. So... it's not so impossible after all.
Ok, so camera will work, but only ON HACKS. That's great, really. How about stability of os? :>
no ways thank god if you get ics for dialy use another cm10 project awaits macclaw

no, cm10 will be android 5.0... jellybean will be cm9.1 or something like that, since jellybean is just an update of ics...

yup, i agree with u. The only issue with cm9 (for me at least) is the lack of RAM, i dont care abt the "crappy camera" or "useless" FM.
all devices haing cm9 or aosp ics can run jellybean

ok, but the question is not if they can, because it's obvious that galaxy mini is able to run ics/jb, the question is: can it be runned smoothly on low end phone? and i'm only guessing that the answer is no, because of extremely low specs (compared to other phones nowaday) of galaxy mini
I haven´t found any info around the web about CM team making a vivo release? Does anybody have information about that?

The CM team tend to not discuss a lot of what they will release untill it is due soon. Guess it's to stop people nagging about deadlines.
They are probably waiting for the source code and kernel.

They are waiting for the source code for kernel 3.0.16. Currently, it only works for Sense ROM's and not AOSP ROM's. AOSP for our device uses 2.6.x GB kernel hacked to work with ICS which is why our ROM's aren't fully stable yet unless your using the stock 3.0 kernel.
I emailed HTC regarding kernel sources and was told they will release it 90-120 days after the release of the WWE ICS RUU. The RUU was released a few weeks ago, so a few months to go unfortunately.

Just curious, what is the difference between AOSP kernel and Sense kernel in general? If I got the source for the Sense kernel, what do I need to do to make it work for AOSP?

What do you meaning building an AOSP kernel based on the Sense kernel? I previously compiled some AOSP kernels from source but dunno about porting Sense kernel to AOSP.

Now as the source code is available, we can hope for stable ICS rom.
Well ICS is already kind of stable just some minor bugs if you mean that. However JB would very likely be possible imo.
Our devs are working on it and I'm sure CM10 will be on our device Nik just got a port from DHD ROM booting and will release it tomorrow Also Floatshow and djpbx are building a JB ROM from source and I guess they're making awesome progress, too. So it's just about time, mate
Nice to see that my old thread has been awaken

Keep in mind CM ≠ AOKP, and without a fully working ROM Control...well, that's AOKP's essence. Romanbb and company are working on it. Patience is a virtue.

tried this.. i think uploaded the wrong rom.. it is actually kallt_kaffe's 08-08-2012 7310 build..
Kk's CM10 build was sweet. I also tried the aosp jb version and I like the rom too. I am actually waiting for the first of either one to get updated so that we have a fully functional and stable rom of jb. Right now both rooms have its shortcomings. But it's better than the stock honeycomb version.

Not putting you down or anything, but there isn't really a need to port it. Nobody will use the Rom for now.

Actually, I would use the rom if it was based on beta 1, since the wifi works... At least he is trying to get some new things for ace i.
I was just about to port this But good job!
yeah, you need to port it again but this time using new CM build. Anyway: is there a sense to port ICS (cm9) based roms if there is no stable build for cooperve? Personally i think we should wait for RC version like CM7.2 by biel.

Love to see PA on our ace-i and ya!! as the other members suggested, better wait for RC release...
I think closing the thread waiting for a release candidate is not the thing to do. There's people that will use the ROM even with all the bugs and the lag, if it's present.
Please continue the rom it will take time but good things will happen here. I love pa and wish you the best in your work. Thank you bro.

A difference between porting and building, and if he did build it, it will never have hw and will be slow (due to the lack of GPU drivers)
Why so much hurry in making cm9 based roms..Let atleast stable version come..
My suggestion..Not discouraging you..But according to me wait for stable cm9..

This thing you said is absurd. Porting will create more bugs. And a port takes libs from base rom, so porting and building makes no difference at this point, but porting might create bugs as it was built for another device.
