The verizon hard cases definitely don't fit and every other case I have looked at appears to be designed for the stock cover. I understand that inductive charging isn't widely adopted yet, but I'm surprised that I can't find any at all. Anyone have better luck?

Is there a case that fits with the inductive battery cover? I have the case/holster that has the built in kick stand (not the body glove one, but the one that will fit the extended battery as well) that is at Verizon stores. I had a semi rigid gel case but it wont fit the inductive charging cover. I really liked the look and feel of the case, plus I like how it protected the ends of the phone unlike the hard case that I have now.
anyone??? help!!
nothing yet????
nothing at this moment hopefully soon. Im looking for a case for the extended battery besides the ugly shell case and holster combo im straight.
Yes
I saw one at Best Buy yesterday. Black in color, under 20$. For standard battery. Can't remember the brand.
Nevermind. It was not for the inductive cover.

but will it fit with the inductive charging cover? Withe the charging cover the phone is a different shape, here in-lies the problem.
How big a difference is there between standard cover and inductive charging cover?
The back is flat, there is no more camera hump.
Can anyone explain to me why the Samsung Qi Back and Qi Charger would not work with a case (Say a SPigen Tough Armor) or other thin case? I understand it is a magnetic force and inductive charger, but we are not talking otter box thickness. I'm wondering why it wouldn't work if I put the back on and slid it into the case.
Thank you.
The Qi back is larger and doesn't fit in any current case well. That is the only issue.
As a newbie I thought just post my successful wireless charging hack for my Galaxy S5 (900F). I used the Palm Pre (instead of the Pixi) and as so many have done with the GSIII and GSIV. Its an add on to the good work dev "rwilco12" posted at the end of last year (link below)
All done for under $15 (USD)
Any question don't hesitate

Did you use genuine cover ? looks like there isn't enough space under cover, so it isn`t fitted quite well. Can you add photos of the cover attached to the phone ?
Anyway, it is possible to find a lot qi coils very thin to fit genuine cover.
thanks

Yes, I used a genuine cover, but I did need to trim out the ridge that runs along the length of the battery (see Pic). I positioned the coil and the small metal disc's so the phone would rest on its tail and be flush with the touchstone. You'll notice from the pics that there are small rises on the back cover when attached, but the photos show them up much better than the naked eye, they're hardly perceivable (to the eye or touch) if you don't know what your looking for.
Also I can still get my Speigen slim armor case on easily and with a good fit. Unfortunately its a bit thick for the wireless charging to work.
I bought the Palm Pre back cover & the Palm Touchstone off ebay, there seem to be plenty of them offered. All up for under $15. Not sure if the waterproofing will still seal and I haven't tested the NFC

PS: I also edited the original post to include the XDA mod I used as a starting point.
Qi doesn't seem to work well through my case (Verus Damda Slide which also houses 2 credit cards). Wondering if anyone has used the Powermat PMA and if that charges through cases better? Thanks
I have found a few on eBay from china for the S8 and i see that SCF has a Note 8 one listed but only one view and it appears to be CF and aTPU. I would liek to have something that is only CF.
Anybody seen any?
Check out Pitaka carbon fiber case for Note 8. They just launched it yesterday. Amazing company and products.

Thanks, just ordered.
If you're feeling up to it I'd like to hear your thoughts on the case. It's a sexy beast for sure although the protection is almost non-existent.
will check pitaka too
I am using a Spigen Neo Hybrid so I am expecting the same/similar protection from this case. I will be more than happy to do a review once it arrives. I am a car guy so this case was right up my alley, I also liked the addition of the metal plates for magnet mounting that don't interfere with normal activity.
Would the embedded metal plate block wireless charging/tap&pay?
It looks like the Pitaka carbon fiber case for Note 8 has the plate embedded and probably would restrict the functionality of the device.
If you read through the site the metal is implemented in such a way that it does not interfere with wireless charging or NFC. I don't know if that means it is woven in somehow or offset to where the charging coil is, nor do I have one to try myself - Just regurgitating what I read.
There are two magnets with a gap between that locate the phone so that the gap is centered over the coil to allow for charging, they've got a blow out of it on their site. I'm thinking it would work on most wireless charging pads so long as the phone was placed correctly. oarenj should set us straight soon.
Got it and put up a full review here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...view-pitaka-aramid-fiber-case-note-8-t3702737
