Yup, finally got my One X. Really wanted a phone with more custom development support and I'm actually pretty satisfied.
I would like to thank benjamin.j.goodwin, [vertigo], Shingers and DutchDanny for their hard work. You guys really gave a push to what this device can achieve.
And who knows? Maybe I'll see you guys on the One X forum one day!
Farewell dude. And who knows? Maybe i'll see you one day at the Mercedes club and have some drinks
Enjoy the phone, there is some good stuff over there.
No longer have the One X though

Howdy all,
I've ordered a Motorola Droid and it'll be curtains for my HTC Tattoo Android development.
What does this mean? I'll still be an AzusaROM developer. However, I won't be hovering around the Click Android Development much any more.
To the other developers: Don't give up. Your work is awesome, and really shows what the Tattoo can do. HTC should learn from our ROMs, we don't want all the Sense UI gloss and crappy unoptimized kernels!
To my AzusaROM users: You are more than welcome to use AzusaROM as a starting base for your Android ROMs. Just add my credit line like "Based on AzusaROM by Coburn64" in the credits.
To my friends and foes: A big thank you for all your help and support over the period of time I've been a Tattoo developer. Keep on churning out those ROMs, make the Tattoo shine and burn out that NAND chip!
For now, I bid you farewell. If you see me around, say Hi... Hit me up on Twitter (it's in my sig) and we'll chat.
Take care and see ya,
Coburn.
Sad to see another one move away from the tattoo, but I can understand it. So I will stay here, waving with my tattoo and remember the good old times with mainfram3, you and the others that were involved in kicking HTC's ass the first time by finding a way to root our phones
Have a lot of fun with your new motorola!

I also find it sad that a very good ROM dev is leaving us - i also thought buying a Droid (in Germany it is named Milestone), but I moved away from these thoughts as I'll either buy a Samsung Galaxy S or wait until the Droid X will be coming to Europe hopefully
Anyway, thanks for your hard work and I hope that you will have anice time with your new toy
Regards
bye bye and good uck with your ner an-DROID!
Goodbye. This is sad I'm gonna have to buy another phone at some point...
Thanks for your work!
To Coburn64
Thank you, Coburn64 !!!!!
Let me 1st say a huge thank you to dzo and all the devs I have been following the vouge andoid from .9 - 2.2 from sd loading to nand flashing, from having to boot data in windows defore booting in to android, from the bule keyboard to rouge tools, and it has been a hell of a ride. The vouge was my 1st smart phone and I hated wm6 but android open up new doors, and hacking became a way of life. Im sad to say I was always in the background chicking for the next update, and never more then an end user. But everyone here always made me feel welcomed. I will miss my vouge thank you all for never letting it die and taking it places I never dreamed. I will miss all of you the most
however all things must come to an end, and im moving on with my new toy. I just picked a samsung galaxy s and will be joining that group. Thank you all again for last 2 years
Nate
Can we get a hip-hip hooray?
It's alright, boy. Some day most of us will move to another device. By the way, how did you get your Samsung Galaxy S? I want one used and cheap
Welcome to the sgs club
Hope you enjoy the new phone! Congrats!

Jamezelle, congrats on the modship!
I must say, going from my tilt with 2.2 to the sgs with 2.1 was a little bit of a disappointment but it's a great phone. Although I wish the community was as great as this one was.

hey Mssmison are you doing any development for SGS
i have the Verizon Fascinate and i know you are not in the US but i was hoping we might have a developer with you kind of back ground
if you bo build a Rom, will it work for Verizon (crosses fingers), let me know if you need any testers
got to dump this touchwiz crap they even build "bing" in to it
i never though i would see the day where "bing" would be the default search on an android
its so odd to go from 2.2 on my vogue to 2.1 on my SGS
that is why i will miss this group
everyone here worked so hard and got out updates so fast i think this is the best group on xda

i agree so that means we need to make it great
i just wish it was all one group because having it broken up by US carrier seams point less it would be easier for everyone to work together if it was one group
if you star developing roms and you need a tester for Verizon Fascinate let me know would love to get the SGS group working as well as this one did

i got my SGS from Best Buy in the US
and it was Free!!! which is the biggest reason i got this phone
Best Buy is running a deal where every Friday for the month of Oct. they are offering a different phone from each US carrier for free with a new 2 year contract
my contract with Verizon ended months ago and just like you i was waiting for a great deal because i was not going to pay $200 for a new phone when i had my vouge that worked great
I've also been following the development here. I am so very thankful for everyones hard work towards making the vogue as up to date as it can be. I last ran Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2 [Deodexed] [RLS15] before my phone broke. Somehow the charger I used at work fried the thing and I had to move on. I now have an xperia x10a. I have some mixed feelings about the thing but I guess it is upgrade enough. Anyway. Thanks again. I will still keep reading most of the stuff here on the vogue. That thing was pretty good to me.
when i see posts like this it saddens me because i know there is one less user to continue the legacy of the 6900. however it gladdens me that individuals will keep up with technology.
brings to mind a saying i got from my dad... all technology gets out dated - at that point we can chose to keep it alive for something else, or toss it.
he made that comment to me when my 486box turned Unix bit the big one via lightning strike.
good luck on your new journey sir- congrats on your new technology- may it suit you well.
I feel its time to move on isnt it?
what do you guys think, the development rate has declined steadily and also there's hardly any developer left!
I guess by november its will be moved to legacy devices on XDA!!
Hmm, jellybean roms, a new transformer promised, at least or 2 or 3 excellent developers rumours of viper mod, yeah nothing left here, bye..

If someone can extract the ROM.zip from it lol
I guess this is where the senior members step up
Like what's happening now, people new to deving are releasing stuff
We learn a lot from xda, a year ago I would not have thought I would be in the possession on a new device ruu trying to port it
our device isn't dead, its just starting to show its age. I am here until may next year haha

Would also love to try but I'm too busy right now to do anything... school, drivers licence, more school and also I just bought FIFA 13 yesterday This stuff keeps me away from being more active on xda, but I still do my part by making banners, sigs and stuff esp for Nik right now Good enough
Can't just some random dev rise up from us and port this Desire X ROM? Man you would be treated like Jesus! Or at least his little unknown brother
why not to ask NIK for help

Hello,
Why you not simply ask Nik's help for porting the Desire X
if you don't have much time

I'm not a dev but I just would have given it a try if I had the time... Nik is actually busy by PX Transformer. Also his first One X ROM. And of course he has a life, too with personal stuff and he even goes to Milan soon So he has got enough work by now. And I guess he still didn't got his new IncS from our hero fjordell (sry if written wrong) since shipping can take time.
Hey guys,
I've been out of the loop a little while and I wanted to ask the community for their opinions on how well the HTC one will be supported by the XDA/ROM community. Specifically the dev edition. Have any key players publicly supported this yet?
Most of my experience has been on a nexus device of some kind and I've been spoiled. However with the direction nexus is taking now I think it's time to step away.
My experience with the HTC ruby was dismal, and if ROMing etc is going to be anything like that it's dibs out for me. That being said I'm a long time fan of HTC hardware. The nexus one is a tank that can just keep on taking.
I appreciate any info you can give on the subject.
Can't really say how as most people here still don't have their devices yet.
I heard codeworx is getting one and he's a key player I think.

I was reading up a bit more on the forums. Seems like this is getting a lot of traction on the preorder threads! I guess we'll see what happens with the community.
I saw your kernel post last night too. Hell yeah. I'd love to see more kernel work.
Now to figure out how to get this to Canada.
A LOT of great devs are purchasing this phone. Development is not something to worry about.
Nice nice! Music to my ears.. (o;
PS - I love toaster strudels:good:

The kernel source was posted today from HTC. Have they ever posted driver source?
How on earth do the coders work around no driver sources?
So I've had enough of the G4. It just doesn't support development and it makes me very sad. I've bought an HTC 10 which is arguably the most developer friendly phone right now. (besides Nexus of course) I'm sorry to be going as I really thought the G4 had potential. It's obvious now-it does not. If anyone would like to take over my development projects, (MellowMallow roms) please let me know. I'm still happy to help out, but will not be actively developing anything for the G4 any longer.
Miss you guys,
tabp0le
You're a great dev, Tabp0le. Currently rocking your ZVB ROM which is keeping this forsaken phone bearable to me. You definitely deserve greener pastures than this and am looking forward to trying whatever you develop for the HTC 10 which may be my escape as well.
Eff the G4, see you on the other side!
I agree! This phone is gone as soon as the new Nexus or Pixel phones hit the market! I am so done with LG that I will never own another of their products!
Ive been kickin my s6 pretty ritcheous phone but horrible bttery
Don't blame you, the G4 is awful. Can't wait until I can switch! Good luck to you.

Your decision is completely understandable. I am disappointed for those of us still stuck with our G4s, but know you will make a great contribution in the HTC forums. Good luck and God speed. Thanks for all your efforts.
