I think...The best ROM for CHARMER is probably 2.6.2.29 AKU2 TMO-UK

I probably is however with the shipped ROM there is no argument that a lot of customisations could have been performed... bit upset i have not got to settly with t-mobiles's boot screens

What to install for NEW device

Hi,
I just received the HTC tytn II and am a newbie to this device.
What's the best ROM that I should install, b/c i heard that there are bugs/ and problems??
Pls help out.

What do different ROM's do?

Different ROM's can do a million different things.
It all depends on what the creator put in them. Dutty's ROM is probably the most popular at the minute, because it contains all the software people are after.
Remember, a ROM is basically the OS with a collection of Software in it. In Dutty's case, it's also got a number of registry tweaks which improve performance.

There's now "best" ROM to install. Each ROM has their advantages based on what the person making it wants. Dutty's ROMs are pretty good - he has lite ROMs and full blown ROMs and ROMs with the touchflo/cube. There are other ROMs : Alex's, Quentin, CUSTEL, etc.
Read about each ROM to see if they include what you want and try it out. You will have to make the decision on which ROM is best for you. If you want to make your own try using Alex's ROM Kitchen (link in my sig).

u sure there aint no lite, no-manilla wm6.1 cooked version? im not sure, but its hard to believe...

Lite versions have removed all stuff-I want rom without Manila but with all stuff

...which cannot be installed later through cabs, i believe..
ok, good luck with your quest. Perhaps one idea would be to PM a cook and ask directly, maybe even tempting him with some cold ones...

All roms are nice mate, and everyone will have different opinions on which you should try. If you've used NRG before why not try it again on the HD
