Hey guys! I normally probably wouldn't have made a new thread for this ROM that I built because there are already several rooted stock ROMs already out there, However this turned out to be the fastest stock ROM I've ever used on my dinc. It is surprisingly smooth and fast so I decided I would share my little penicillin with the world haha. Since I have already built the first version and test run it on my phone I figured I would upload my first version and then tweak it from there. Screen shots will come later and I will be happy to trouble shoot if I can. Keep in mind that when I booted this on my phone the first time it sat on the HTC splash for about a minute or more and then the boot animation seemed to freeze during boot but these are all normal and do not require a battery pull, it will all be fine
What this ROM is:
Based off of OTA 4.08.605.2 (not most recent)
Completely Deodexed
Optimized for Speed
Edited to allow custom boot animations to be dropped into data/local
Bloatware removed on V. 1.2.0
System Update popup removed on V. 1.1.4
System Apps updated to most recent in V. 1.1.4
Stock Kernel replaced with 10042012 gingertiny kernel in V. 1.3.2
Chad's Incredicontrol app baked into V. 1.3.3 to give users access to kernel controls
Quick Settings added in version 1.4.0 thanks to sk806!
Support for TWRP 2.3.1 added in version 1.4.0 with help from cmlusco!
Advanced Power Menu added in version 1.4.3 thanks to wdfowty!
Annoying Droid start up sound removed in 1.4.3
Build.prop edited in v1.4.4 to remove update notification
This ROM is currently based off of the 4.08.605.2 OTA which means that it is not "current." Because of the bugs that were found to exist in the most recent OTA, I've decided to keep with 4.08.605.2 and continue to optimize it and make it a community favorite. I will do try to make this ROM the best it can be by implementing:
Custom boot animation
Hardcore modding which may occur someday:
Native Screenshot
Add Crt-off animation to ROM
These things will not necessarily happen in that order but they are things that I intend to be working on.

I will be uploading an update later today with that fixed but at the moment that is normal. It is annoying but like I said the update that I upload later should have that fixed.

haha I would try it, but I don't like stock good work though!
Will the update have the new OTA baked into the ROM and the bloatware removed?

I am currently uploading a fix to the system update popup. I had one that had a lot of the bloatware removed but I ran into problems so this one just has the fix for the annoying popup. I am in the process of fixing those problems and might be able to get another update up tonight but if not it will probably be ready at some point tomorrow. I also have a copy of the newest OTA so I will start working on that after I am done with the fixes for this one. The reason I am doing this one first is because I have heard that the newest has issues with rebooting for no reason over night and so forth and I would rather give you a choice to have either this one or the newer one.
The version I am uploading right now is 1.1.4 and should be able to be flashed over anything you currently have running. I would recommend making a nandroid first though. and you will probably have to download all of the newest versions of the system apps again unless you make backups to quickly reinstall the newest versions. Thanks for trying out my ROM!
Personalty I think I would just wait on updating the Rom to the newest OTA and work on what's working. Nobody seems to have found the problem with the 2 am reboot and there are already some folks working on it but even then there seems to be other problems. Here is a post about other problems encountered with the new ota.
The recent Verizon update is a big, fat failure! At 18 months old, my HTC Incredible never had a single problem until after Verizon installed the recent update v4.08.605.15 (without asking me first). I've had NOTHING but problems since installation approximately 2 weeks ago. With a bevy of new problems surfacing daily, my phone is no longer reliable & thus serves no useful purpose.
The following is a partial list of the problems I've encountered since installation: on a daily basis, phone repeatedly powers on & off all on its own; an incessant, strange ring developed 2 days ago & it continues intermittently (I'm not familiar with this ring & it is not a sound that I set up myself. It drones on and on even when I'm talking on the phone!) phone randomly freezes up several times each day; after appearing on the first boot after installation, an unknown "live" wallpaper destroyed my home screen & disappeared all of my icons; I suddenly stopped receiving text messages regardless of size; and, as a last resort, I've had to remove & reinstall the battery at least 30 times.

I agree. I will fiddle around with the newest OTA but I feel like if verizon/HTC can't get it right then we are all better off with this version. Even the radio that was released with the newest OTA is worse. I tried it when cmlusco pulled it from the latest and my service coverage dropped off considerably and there were no other noticeable improvements. I don't know where they went wrong but I would say they could have stuck with this one or at least waited until they had something concrete and actually better than the last before they released it. It's not as though we were all just waiting around for a new software to come OTA. I'd rather spend my time being anxious about JB being ported to the dinc ^_^
hey nschiwy! .. i really think that sense 1.0 runs the smoothest and all that. but cant we have like a variety of ported sense 1.0 themes for

I will look into the theming. This is essentially my first time getting into any kind of android development so I am taking it one step at a time. It seems like the ROM you pointed me to that you had for your desire might actually be a plain GB port or CM7 with a sense launcher and the lense unlock screen set as default. as far as stock+ it very well could be the same as sparkplug but I don't remember. I thought that I had tried all of the stock based ROMs and was fed up with how much lag they had and when I wound up with mine being smooth I wanted to share it with the community. If it is the same I apologize for the redundancy, maybe after I get a little more experience under my belt mine will be a bit different. In the mean time, cmlusco's touch of blue is based on stock and lightly themed so you might enjoy his ROM as well. Thanks for the feedback and trying it out!
I really enjoy mainly stock ROMs but do find the quick settings tab on the pull down bar and all of the shutdown options when you hold the power off button very useful. I'm running this ROM currently and haven't had any issues or found any bugs but have only had it up for a few hours.

I would like to correct you here that the desire rom is an actual sense rom based on the leaked ginger bread update for the desire so it is not a
stock anroid or cm7 rom. As i am not a developer, but i have heard desire and inc are very similar devices and that porting is easy between them..i would really appreciate if you would look into the sense 1,0 themes and port some stuff from other device forums as there is a lot out there, and touch of blue..hmm well not a big fan of the sharp blue used in it, anyways, goodluck to you on your missions and i support you fully!
Also can you please add the native screenshots update to this ROM?
So does this have the really bright cm7 flashlight or is this the lame dark light? Just curious BC this is what's holding me back from this rom

Hello! I am on vacation this week and didn't bring my Ubuntu laptop with me or else I would have sent out an update a few days ago. The next update is going to include an updated googlesearchbar.apk, I am going to replace the stock flashlight with the CM7 torch and I am going to add the CM7 file explorer. This update should become available as V. 1.2.1 on or about Aug. 6th and it will be able to be flashed over 1.2.0 without problem, although you will need to delete the stock flashlight app on your own if you flash over. I may be able to fix that though. Also, I have been working on adding a screenshot to the power menu but that is a little bit more hardcore modding than what I have been doing so an ETA for that is not going to be available, but of course that is forbidden anyway thanks everyone for trying out the ROM and don't forget to hit the thanks button if you like it!!

Sorry ThisGuy, I had 1.2.1 uploaded and ready to go and ran into some bugs when I tested it on my phone so it is a no-go. I will troubleshoot and hopefully get it up soon.
For the time being, try downloading nexus torch from google play and tell me what you think. I have used it before but I can't remember how good it is and I've never been that picky about the brightness. There seems to be an issue with the stock kernel working with the CM7 torch because it was designed for AOSP. It's kind of surprising because at it's root all versions of android are built on the same structure. If they weren't then sense, motoblur and touchwiz would be useless because none of the normal apps in the market would work on their operating systems. Since CM7 is based off of Android 2.3.7 and our OTA is based on Android 2.3.4, I didn't think there would be an issue and that is why I told you I would have it done as soon as I got home from vacation. Like I said before, I will continue to work on this but I didn't think it was going to be the challenge that it has turned out to be.

Hello Xda Developers!
I was told to come here to post my question. I'm a Nexus One user, who is about to load Sense UI on his standard factory shipped N1. I'm going to use a guide from Anroid Central, which I'm happy with.
My question, is when it comes to chosing a ROM to load on my device. How do I know which one is the latest/greatest/safest? There are many links to Sense UI Roms on the net, and most date back to Feb 2010. Surely in 4 months a more recent version has been released than early Alpha versions.
Is there a version control site, with links/reviews anywhere, or is it just a case of download it and if it doesn't brick your handset then you found a working one.
Thanks for the advice in advance.
Jim.
Don't know if this is the best or not
but it worth a try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636048&highlight=desire
Its A port of sense ROM from Desire Phone
Which is very similar to the N1
And its build by Modaco Which is a very great person I think
I believe Modaco's is the latest. He planned on releasing a Beta but I don't think he ever did due to FroYo.
Cool, thanks for the feedback guys.

Have you tried it?
OK I've just loaded it, and it just loops on the HTC Quietly Brilliant boot up screen, any suggestions?
Wipe the phone and reflash. Make sure you have a 2.1 radio.
Thanks for the reply, can you please explain in more detail, I am a n00b to flashing phones. Thanks in advance.
Hi sorry, let me provide more information to where I'm at. I unlocked and rooted my phone. Did the backup, when I went to load the Sense UI rom, I got to the white loading screen and it looped there.
Since this I have found a FroYo Rom and have successfully loaded it. So I'm back to where I started, but at least my phone isn't a brick. I'm after a good working Rom or advice on how to get that other one to load. Many thanks in advance peeps.
Kingklick's Nexus2Desire 1.1 is the newest and fastest the I know.
Again, from recovery, wipe the phone, then install the rom.

It should be as simple as wiping everything and flashing the ROM, it really isn't that complicated.
Cool! Got it working guys. Had loads of issues using Modacos Roms, seems to be just me, but then loaded on
Release Name: KiNgxKxNexus Desire2Nexus
Release Version: 1.1
And worked like a dream, no issues at all, good speed. Yeah sorry, the instructions were clear, I was just freaking out a bit coz I thought I'd bricked my phone.
Sense is a far superior OS, except one thing which really bugs me, if you use the unlock pattern, you are forced to swipe first to unlock, which you don't on standard android, if this is the 2nd release, surely they would have fixed this by now? Any one know of any hacks to bypass this?
Thanks for all your help.
I downloaded the OTA and rooted, but cant seem to download the files i need to Deoxed my phone. has anyone already done it? It would be much appreciated.
I tried the manual instructions to Deodex but it didnt work for me
The day the OTA came out birdman tweeted that he is working on it, just give him a little time
BTW, where the hell can I follow Birdmans blog?
I installed TBH 2.3.15(deodexed) over top of the 2.2 OTA. Everything has been fine for me.

if you download the one that is in rom manager it is already deodexed and it is ota rooted. it works pretty good for me so far except it keeps trying to download a diff update and it always says that the download has failed. other than that works really well.

That's because the "Stock" 2.2 on ROM Manager is actually the original 2.3.9 leak and not the actual OTA 2.3.15 released on Sept 22nd.
The 2.3.15 deodexed "leak" through TBH is just that, the "leaked" 2.3.15, not the official OTA.
Be a little patient and wait for the real deal deodexed 2.3.15 OTA that is absolutely coming very very soon.

That would be the pre-OTA leaked test build of 2.3.15 which has been deodexed and provided through TBH's app. There are reports that people are installing this over the official OTA without issue, but I'm personally waiting for a deodexed copy of the true OTA as I have found the OTA to be preferable to the leaked 2.3.15 I was running before going OTA (in every respect except for the stupid OTA forced screen lock BS).

Can you quantify other differences? I've seen a lot speculation (me included) about which one is better, but no hard data.
I've using the leaked .15 and have had zero problems.

Truthfully I'm hard pressed to come up with any actual evidence in favor of one or the other. Based on my personal, subjective experience I've found the official OTA to be smoother, more responsive and more stable. When using the new universal rockplayer on all of the leaks there were typical formats (mainly xvid encodes) that wouldn't work correctly even though the older v7 rockplayer played them fine. With the OTA, the universal rockplayer no longer has these problems.
I've never really had any force close issues I can attribute to any of the updates (the only FC's I've run into throughout have been because of websites issues in Dolphin HD). I feel that many of the FC issues people experience may have more to do with the apps themselves than with the system.
I never had any market issues with any of the releases so I can't speak to that aspect (I've always used Beesley's build.prop mods including the current one for the OTA so I don't believe that to have an effect on anything).
My linpack and quadrant scores have been consistently higher with the OTA than with the 2.3.9, 2.3.13 or 2.3.15 leaks (though all that speaks to is a theoretical benchmark score and not much real value). That could be giving me a placebo effect, making me feel like it is more responsive just because there's some numbers evidence (even if the numbers are total BS, lol). I consistantly get mid 14's in linpack and mid 14's in quadrant where with the leaks I would really only hit high 13's in each (even with FlyX and Tranquility which I am currently not messing with until birdman tweets that things are set with the OTA and FlyX). I'm trying to stay safe since OTA updated the bootloader and has a different kernel than the leaks.
Has anyone else who have used both the leaks and official OTA actually kept track of anything they can speak about? I wish I would have kept notes throughout the process.
well i was able to create my own 2.2 ota deodexed update.zip.. but as i began to modify it at 3am my lack of sleep caused me to take short cuts and make an incredibly stupid mistake. I ended up attempting to reflash my phone to test out my update.zip without thinking.. i completely forgot that there was no 2.2 sbf file and i used the 2.1 sbf file. So now i have a hefty brick in my hands, but already have a new one being sent to my house with next day shipping. I will test it out on the new phone and then post it here. It will be deodexed/png optimized/zip alligned/with blackbar modded notification bar.
i was so pissed that i had everything done, and pulled an epic fail during testing.

stupid questions...................
First, what is that "deodexed" thing? Can anyone explain it in plain English? I was pretty good addict flashing Roms on my Nexus 1, but am kinda afraid to do anything with my new Dx, for unknown (to me) reason.
Also, i have heard or read somewhere that if i wipe everything in recovery, before flashing new "zip", i will be stuck at M logo forever.....is that correct?? I would appreciate anyone who can explain these.............ty.

THIS IS FOR THE 10.1 LTE tab only, NOT THE WI-FI VERSION!!! I've looked all around several forums and could not find this posted anywhere. I came across this through a friend who was kind enough to hook me up with some goodness. FIRST: I TAKE ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT FOR THIS LEAK. This did NOT come from some awesome source of mine, I simply stumbled across it and it's AWESOME! So, I thought I would pass on the goodness to whoever wanted it. This is a HoneyComb 3.2 TouchWiz UX EI03 leak build for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. It is a factory Odin image tar file that is unrooted and bloated However, once you flash it, simply odin the recovery that is linked below (courtesy of Pershoot) and then in recovery, flash the new 3.0.7 Superuser zip that is also linked below (courtesy of Chains) and you will have root. When you flash the superuser zip the first time in recovery, you will probably get an error. Just flash it again and it should work. You will need 7zip or something similar to extract the tar files from the links below. I like this MUCH better than the HC 3.1 that came with my tab. If this helped you out or you like it or whatever, be sure to hit the thanks button!

Yea, it will be up in about two and a half hours. It's awesome! Way better than the 3.1 that came with it IMO. It's a really awesome TouchWiz version. And I have always HATED TouchWiz, so that just shows you it's really nice......I love it.
Meh
Alright guys, I decided to make this a priority. It will be up in about 10 minutes
Link is up guys. You shouldn't have any problems with it, it worked fine for me.

I can confirm that its a working ROM 3.2 Touchwiz LTE. I haven't tried any of the additional files as I wanted to make sure its stable for me. Thanks for the upload. I'll be playing with this for a bit.
Edit: OC Kernel link broken at the moment

Yea, it's really nice. Just follow the instructions in the OP for root. And the kernel link is fixed. It's a much better kernel as well.
This'll be a noob question but do I need to be rooted to load this? If so can someone point me to the proper root thread. All the ones listed as LTE seem to dead end.
Thanks

Hmm, on the fence now wondering if I should make the jump to 3.2 when Im already satisfied with how I have ADW launcher EX running in 3.1.

I tried it for only half a day. I found it to be a bit too heavy for the tablet as it is right now. For me it was laggy ... blatantly. Even my videos were lagging out and they were smooth on stock 3.1. Perhaps this is an earlier build... not optimized. I loaded up the OC Kernel and pushed it to 1.4 but it didn't smooth anything out. I ended up reloading the factory stock EG01 ROM and even that untouched version was smoother. I'm back on LiquidSpeed @1.4. Everything from the links above works. I didn't have any problems loading it; its just not smooth for me. Probably a good starting place for developers and I'm willing to continue trying out whatever gets posted now that I know how to restore. Thanks for the posting though, keep it coming

Wow, I guess it's just different results for different people. I absolutely love this build! It is much smoother and faster and more responsive for me than liquidspeed was. From the transitions all the way to the keyboard, more responsive, less glitchy and much smoother. Of course, I rooted and debloated it right away. And then it got even better when I installed zepplinrox's supercharger script and kickasskernelizer. I also used the zipalign script from liquidspeed. So, with the exception of not being deodexed, it has all the same mods and features that liquidspeed has. I will NOT be going back to 3.1, I am very pleased with this. Liquidspeed was great, but this is much better for me.

Cool. Maybe someone will find the time to post a ROM based off of it (hint)...

Did you just use titanium to debloat? Also can you list what apps you debloated so we can make sure we don't remove an app that is required.

Wow, it was a lot. I just removed every system app that I knew I wouldn't use. If you're not sure about removing a certain app, just make a backup of it with titanium backup. After you remove it, if the tab starts acting funny or you realize you needed that app, restore it. I did use titanium backup to debloat it.

I do agree...3.2 so far is much smoother for me. I came from the Liquidspeed rom as well. I am rooted and on the 1.4ghz kernel now. It flies....I'm happy I upgraded.

No, that's how I did it. But remember, I debloated a lot of garbage. This is a full factory odin image from vzw so that means a lot of bloatware. I also added in the mods and features that liquidspeed has. Supercharger script, zipalign script, it's debloated with pershoot's OC as well. And, I even added in the kickasskernelizer script as well. Loving it.

Noob in training here. I don't mind trying any/all of this, but you're talking a language I don't understand. Are these things I can find and download/install?? I have pershoot's OC kernel installed.
Which ROM is better?
I don't know for sure, but it seems that samuaz's is texasice's build plus the CM goodies. So I would say samuaz's has more features.

Ok. Hey, aren't you that Cyanogenmod moderator?
That'd be me
why ask--try them both--
Am using texasice's ROM since like day 1 and loving it. Its my daily driver
I tried thrice to use texacise ROM [Alpha 8, ev-1, and latest p3]. There are huge improvements and p3 is quite close to be used as daily rom. However, still there are issues with network dropping off , random soft reboots and many Apps FCing.
Nexy has good future with both these ROMs progressing so fast [it is less than 50 days since google released the code].
The samuaz ROM, looking at the feedback, I'll give it a try for couple of days next week.
Yes I do notice those soft reboots with p3. But no FCs and no network drops. However the progress for each build looks quite promising.
Would be nice if Samuaz too release a mini skirt version for stock Hboot
Yet another reason not to stay on stock Hboot: Camera is already working (not completely) on N1.
Also msm kernel 3.0 is ready. Just a few days before we get ICS beta
Where can we get the msm 3.0 kernel?

Where? From a kernel dev, of course.
When? When it's ready. Further questions will not aid in getting it faster.
I heard the kernel dev over at the Desire forums is going to upload his msm-3.0 sources to guthub and will make it work on the HD2 and Nexus One, of course after it works on the Desire itself.
Just wait patiently and it will be here sooner or later.

That's what I figured, but it seemed to be implied, by indiangeek, that one was already available.
I just upgraded from CM 7 to Texas ICS p4. The market didn't work (my apps didn't auto-sync and re-download - couldn't get it working after an hour of trying), the animations were a little jerky, camera didn't work, USB mass storage didn't work, CM mods weren't there. In it's current form, it could use a little polishing.
I tried Samuaz's MeDroid ICS 4.1 and it works way better. No market issues. Animations are much more fluid, camera works (panorama and video are broken). Gallery doesn't pull in picasa web albums (that'll be fixed today in 4.2). Also, you get CM features, which aren't present in TICS. I got a few force closes, but I think that was due to not rebooting after restoring from mybackup root, as I haven't had the FCs in a while. Oh, and USB mass storage is working, so I can restore apps and data from my backups. Sometimes the USB icon shows up or the app starts up (like at startup) when nothing is plugged in. Minor issue, though.
Upgrade method (some of these flash files aren't signed, so I needed to disable signature verification before they'd flash):
Upgrade bootloader (HBOOT) to 0.35.0017
Flash latest radio (5.12.00.08) - CHECK THE MD5 BEFORE FLASHING
Install Blackrose using the automatic method (It will not work without the HBOOT above)
Install custom blackrose from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897 - this increases the space available for ICS to install
Use recovery to do a full wipe three times (people had issues only wiping once)
Mount SD card via recovery and deleted/backed up everything.
Flash Evervolv-Perdo-2.1.0p4-passion.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897
(Realize a bunch of things weren't working)
Use recovery to do a full wipe three times (people had issues only wiping once)
Flash MeDroid 4.1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21093710&postcount=188
To do yet:
Upgrade as soon as 4.2 comes out to fix gallery - I'll probably just use adb to replace the current gallery app - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21097768&postcount=191
Replace MeDroid's boot animation with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429308
Am I the only one to be a little knee-shaking when it comes to flashing radios? I mean, ****ing up the system or boot seems easily restorable, but flashing a corrupted or unsigned radio may turn your device into a fully usable paperweight?
That's kinda the reason I've stayed with the 5.08.00.04 or what it's called. I mean, it works for me and hasn't bugged in any way, so why upgrade it?
I agree it's scary, but I saw so many people using the same file without issues, I was alright with it. Radios are the only file I check md5 on for this reason.
I think you're ok if fastbooting the img and like loki980 said, checking md5
I've done it a few times with no issues

In all my time in the CyanogenMod forum (which is probably waaay too much time), it seems that the 5.08 is the best supported radio with the N1. I have never seen issues fixed from going from the 5.08 to the 5.12, but I have seen quite a few fixed doing the reverse. A lot of people get great results with 5.12, but it seems that more have better luck with 5.08.
Plus, I am sure that Google did a lot of testing before they sent out the Gingerbread update, and I'd bet there is a reason they included the 5.08 instead of the 5.12.
Based heavily on TeamICS' work on HeroC, here is some very early initial work on ICS for the HTC Kovsky, AKA Sony Xperia X1. Built from AOSP source, with source available.
This is NOT for the faint of heart, and as far as I know nearly everything is broken right now. Instructions for building are coming soon - meanwhile, source is available at https://github.com/Zorlin with bits from https://github.com/CyanogenMod and https://github.com/TeamICS
Credits:
- TeamICS for all their ridiculously awesome work on Hero/HeroC
- CyanogenMod team, on which some TeamICS work is based.
- IceDroidV2 for the installer and current (slightly modded) kernel/boot.img - see IceDroidV2 thread for appropriate credits and source.
Currently working:
- Boots!
Currently not working:
- Everything else
- ADB
Notes:
boot.img is made from applying the ICS porting guide to IceDroidV2's boot.img
Currently there's a "hack" to attempt to get adb working - I threw in a copy of busybox as /system/bin/sh. Need to work out a better way, since it really didn't work...
I've got a bunch of ideas, but it's late, so... here:

Yes and no. I think I can bring it to the same state as HeroC, maybe sans camera, and port hardware acceleration if/when they get it working. Kernel isn't my forte, though. At the moment adb is a major and confusing stumbling block... I'm missing something stupidly simple.

Your signature shows that you have a own kernel for NAND for X1?
What is working etc? maybe you could share it, when it has benefits to the current published ones
EDIT: maybe you could join zargloub and midnight for kernel dev?

Hello @neoofoox.
Working everything except camera, fm radio and bluetooth (atm working on kernel to see where is problem).
Charging/discharging (at last I think it is ok as phone discharge within 20 hours->3.5 yrs old battery<- using push, wifi, bluetooth and location with 10-15 minutes of talking)
Also, phone wake asap You press power, ok or lock button (also with double security using pattern after normal unlocking)
I also don't think that this is right thread for something other than ICS work conversation.
When I got all things working proper, be sure that will make an new thread with image and patches to kernel.
BR,
Ramon
EDIT: Yeah, I will be happy to talk with @zargloub and @midnight regarding kernel.
EDIT2: Regarding sharing, I use only main system of Cyanogen but My own kernel, so as I say, until kernel completely work, I will not share it because of lot's of questions what users cannot fix until I fix holes inside kernel.
@fergy Last question ot jooc Does your phone reboots if you miss a call?
Sorry guys, I might be retiring my Kovsky... I'll publish build instructions and sources etc either way. If you don't hear back from me, assume I retired it
I'm getting fairly hopeful that you'll get decent ICS on the Kovsky soon though.
EDIT: Yup, it's official. I turned in my Xperia X1 in exchange for a free, off-contract Samsung Focus S (which I'm reselling) through the recent Microsoft promotion. I'll still have it for a week - I'm going to try and get ICS on it before then, but I don't really know what chances are like.
After that, I'll turn this over to someone else who can hopefully carry it through.

With these things working it is working perfectly, who need wifi if you can use mobile Data to access Internet and who needs bluetooth if you can send files via Email or connect your Phone via headphone port to your soundsystem etc..
I would test that if it becaume available and will report every bug etc. You could choose some people for testing which know something about that / for reporting bugs. So you can fix them and make the kernel 'perfect'.
Zargloub stopped developing and he has his files on gitorious so you could merge the kernels, here is working bluetooth and wifi (but it shows bad signal strenge)
Are you on github or gitorious so other devs can see what you are doing and maybe can help or people see what you are working on now.
I would love to test it, because for me it is allready perfect I hope we read something from you soon. You are our last hope
EDIT: sp3dev was also working on kernel you can get the sources here and here
EDIT2: I asked sp3dev if he would help, but he cannot for 2 reasons, first he has currently no time, the second reason is that he don't want to work on project which are close-source. Maybe you should think about releasing that before it is completely finished or make it open-source. Your device is old and that slow down the process a lot.
