Hey guys,
I recently purchased a Gnexus in Brazil and after some tests, I decided to push Jelly Bean (v. 4.1.1). From my initial research, I've found out that step one would be replacing the brazilian ICS v. 4.02 image with a region free ICS v. 4.04. image. Here's what I've done:
a) First, I installed Gnex Toolkit v. 7.5 + drivers;
b) Then, I selected my phone model and build (ICL53F)/ICS v. 4.02, unlocked the device, downloaded the region free ICS 4.04 image (yakju-imm76i-factory-8001e72f.tgz) and moved it to "put_google_stock_images_here";
c) Finally, and moved to the "Download, Extract + Flash Google Factory Stock Rom";
d) The files could not be transfered, thou;
Some research revealed this command-line fastboot procedure: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572307
That's when things went terribly wrong. I used 7-zip to uncompress the .tgz file, then pushed the individual files one by one. In the end, I got stuck on the loading animation.
In desperation, I tried to revert using this image http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789179 and the same fastboot commands. The "system" copy failed and now I'm stuck on the Google logo.
Is there hope? Please, please, please I could use some help.
Would this solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781250 save my beloved Gnexus!? How should I proceed?
Thanks in advance.

i got a little ahead of myself and used the unlock app from asus before i realized that i needed to be on at least JB 4.3 or i cant root to cm11 from jellybean 4.2.2. i have pulled my hair out trying to side load the update downloaded from the asus website, i am well aware that i lack the skills to trouble shoot this myself and rely entirely on these forums and youtube. i was hoping that someone has experienced this problem and can point me in the right direction for a fix or workaround.
As it is now, i am stuck on a brand new (Unlocked) asus tf701 US build JDQ39.US_10.14.1.44 with JB 4.2.2 and kernel version 3.4.35-g593cccf.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appriciated

Download the latest firmware for you SKU from Asus.
Unzip that file ONCE, resulting in another zip
Copy that xxxx-user.zip to the root of your internal SD. The system should recognize it and throw up a notification that an update is available.
Alternatively:
Rename the xxxx-user.zip to: T4_SDUPDATE.zip and copy it to the root of a fat32 formatted microSD.
Insert microSD and boot to recovery: Power +Vol Down, then press Vol Up on the flashing RCK
Stock recovery will boot and flash the update.
Make sure your tablet is charged for this!! You do not want the flash to get interrupted!!
That's the stock route. But since you are unlocked, you can also:
1. Fastboot flash CWM 6.0.5.1 to your device.
2. Reboot
3. Boot to recovery (now CWM)
4. Flash the US or WW 11.4.1.29 bootloader (packaged with CWM) in recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf701/development/rom-t2999102
5. Reboot
You will see a blue progress bar filling up (the bootloader and recovery get installed), then the tablet will reboot again. At this point hold the Vol Down button to enter the bootloader menu and then enter recovery.
You could try to boot to system here, but I don't know if the KK bootloader you just flashed would boot your JB rom.
6. Flash your desired rom in recovery
Obviously the stock route is safer
Hi guys, sry for my english i'm not native.
I've installed brazil firmware 4.4.4 (XT1058_RETAIL-BR_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26_52_cid12_CFC_1FF) from my Moto XT1058 (Stock 4.4.3 Chilean rom). Then soak tests v31 and v38 through OTAs. Then finally put lollipop 5.1 (Last OTA), and everything was ok after that.
Then I've tried to put xposed and installed some modules. Rebooted, phone starts and then stuck on this blank screen with no navbar or statusbar with the message "Unfortunately system UI has stopped", pressing ok and the message appears again.
I've did a Wipe Data/Factory Reset, and it didn't work.
I've read that maybe I have to flash a stock rom, but in my case, how should I do? What rom should I flash without bricking my phone? Any ideas or other solutions?
I appreciate the help in advance
PD: Of course I didn't do a CWM/TWRP Backup, thats what I'm here .
@KidJoe can only help you at the moment...

Bro, the first thing you should do is flash stock ROM into your phone.
And I think the official xposed for lollipop didn't released, you should wait for it
Here's the link ;
Read and follow carefully and your done.

Thank you for your time. Is it safe to come back to 4.4.4?. Because I have 30.BD bootloader. Maybe I'm a little confused, but I'm afraid to mess up my phone worse than before.

You'll be installing full new ROM that means your pre-installed ROM will be deleted with its components.
Note: Before installing contact the developer to make sure.
I just helped you finding your right page.
Happy flashing
Solved!
I'm posting this in case someone have the same problem (sry I can't post external urls yet)
I followed this tutorial h t t p : / / w ww.motoforum.com.br/topic/64-voltando-o-moto-x1-para-o-444/?#comment-532 (url is temporary broken ) and everything went perfect .
But basically these are the steps:
1) Download this 4.4.4 brasil firmware h t t p s : / / mega.co.nz/#!xgtEhTiB!L-pFVfYyeq2gqQR2Rf8x7byvhiyjy72vgr6QqQ2A0UE
2) Extract it
3) Inside that folder edit the XML file with notepad and delete the 3 lines containing
getvar
gpt.bin
motoboot.img
(save the xml file)
4) Enter fastboot mode in your phone (power + volumen [-]) and run the XML file with RSD Lite. Done!
If you want to come back to 5.1 (what I did) follow this.
1) Download 5.1 brasil Firmware (Its has root by default) h t t p s : / / mega.co.nz/#!Y0sEWRIA!0YFRUxn-YiCzqZKGUxFlWclNoaAXjBf8sZ_33MNEWCQ
2) Extract it and run the XML file inside with RSD Lite. It's easy.

Hello wonder if anybody can help
I'm looking for a flashable system image for the ASUS ME70CX.
I'm working on a ex-Demo version of the tablet with custom firmware installed for demo usage.
I downloaded the latest firmware from ASUS UL-K01A-ww-12.2.3.28-user.zip
I've erased cache ,userdata and system
From the downloaded firmware I've flashed boot.img ,fastboot.img ,and splashscreen.img
I tried to create a system image using a rooted normal version following online details copying partition mmcblk0p9 and then used sparseconverter to fix a sparse error.
But I get an error says folder not found on the device in recovery (fastboot).
So the first question would be have I copied the correct partition ?
Failing that is there a working system image I can download ?
cheers
Did you find a solution? I tried to update my sons ME170CX/K01A tablet with the download from the Asus website and now it wont boot up. I can get it into droidboot, but dont know what to do from there. I just need to get it working again. I've tried to update with fast boot but it says
error: update package has no android-info.text or android-product text.
I've also placed the update on an SD card and gone to recovery from droid boot but it does nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just not familiar with using fast boot. I been trying for a couple days now, and I'm not finding what to do from here. Just that i should be able to flash from droid boot.
Edit: I found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/instructions-reviving-me170c-me170cx-t3017466
I found the update for the CX/K01A that had the same software image version as listed in the OP and followed every step as described, with the exception of the download and renamed it to K01A_sdupdate. This all started a couple days ago when I replaced the main board because the micro usb port got ripped off the board. I was much cheaper than sending off for repair and easier for me to buy a used unit with a busted screen from eBay. When I got it all together and working it would not update from 4.3, after all I have done and following the instructions here in the OP it is now on 4.4.2. This is right where it was with the original board. Since he only uses it for games and downloaded movies I'm not messing with it anymore now that its working properly. He'll just have to start over with his games.

Assuming it works the same way as the ME70CX.
First is to get the correct firmware version as not all the ones listed are compatible with all versions for a one hit update.
EG the original version I downloaded wouldn't update / install from the SD card but v10.32.1.33.3 will but it'll then update OTA to v11 .
Download the update , extract the zip files until you get to the last one eg UL-K01A-ww-10.32.1.33.3-user.zip
Rename it K01A_sdupdate.zip
This will now update from the SD card.
If you have erased the unit extract the img files from this file and flash them , then update from the SD card and reboot and it'll work again.
But you need the correct version. I went for the one that was installed in another unit or it updated to on it's first update.
So if you can boot the original chassis up and look at the software version then download the closest on to that.
If you do this to an ex-display model it'll still be in Demo mode afterwards but search for ASUS Retail site and it'll tell you everything you ever need to know about their software for retail operation. Same applies to Samsung . Samsung retail website again has everything you'll ever need to know.

im on 3.0.0 right now. can i downgrade to 2.1? can you show me how? tried out but stuck at nvidia boot screen
you can downgrade, but right after you start up it'll auto-upgrade to 3.0 again so pretty pointless.
Mistake

what if i flash the 2.1 firmware, flash twrp right after and restore a backup from 2.1 with data, so that it doesnt force the update?
Hi, the links points to 3.1 firmware.
Here are the 2.1 Links
http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/SHIELD+Android+TV+Firmware+2.1
This is useful for remix os on shield TV.
Is this for installation via fastboot flash? Every time ive flashed the images from the nvidia support site it bricked my device.
I have figured out how to roll back to Lollipop.
First download the ROM nv-recovery-image-shield-atv-upgrade2_1_dev_rooted.zip.
Next download twrp-multirom-20151112-UNOFFICIAL-foster.img.
Boot SATV into Fastboot.
Extract and flash staging blob, boot.img, system.img, userdata.img (this will wipe the internal storage) and dtb file.
Reboot back into Fastboot.
Flash TWRP then boot directly into recovery (do not reboot).
From TWRP mount system as read-write.
Use the file manager to navigate to /system/app/TegraOTA.
Delete all files within the folder TegraOTA.
Reboot normally and go through the first time setup wizard. SATV will not download the OTA update and remain on 5.1 Lollipop.
Despite the title saying 5.0.2, the current firmware downloads seem to be available here (including the dev_rooted version!) with no Nvidia developer account required:
http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/17759/ :good:
Problem recover.
Hello i dont know if i in the right Thread here.
I unlocked BOOTLOADER and installed lineage OS 15.1.
And decided that i wanted to go back to stock.
I dowloaded shield-atv-2017 and followed the fastboot guide and transfered all the img to my 2017 nvidia.
When i reboot the message appears that BOOTLOADER is unlocked and after a few sec it shows the nvidia logo and then nothing...
Please help me....
Hello,
english powered by google
I desperately my Xperia SP on Android is trying to switch 4.4. Unfortunately, most Totourials are useless, alone because very often missing files or they are just out of date.
After so many problems I managed to flash my Xperia. Unfortunately nothing had the desired effect due to the files.
Currently I have the following problem which I do not get resolved:
I have loaded with the Flash tool the Cyanogenmod bootfile via fastboot, earlier I had installed CWM course with USB debugging and deactivated Bootlock. ect.
Unfortunately, he did not start the CWM but the CyanogenMod and I did not have the possibility to install the ZIP file on the SD card. Instead, I've obviously just all deleted.
Currently I have no system, but only the CyanogenMod. A flash on Standart is suddenly no longer possible FAILED (remote: Download size too large). Even when I extracted the System.sin I had problems to start them in fastboot mode.
I had previously done with older files, unfortunately the installation was on the ZIP file in recovery mode error. Why I have updated the files and all programs.
Restoring the standard firmware previously ran flawlessly ...
So I really do not go on and am really desperate.
I very much hope that my one helps the more clueless than me.
Best regards,
Ben
So i assume you now have installed official sony firmware? If yes , and you have unlocked bootloader then all you have to do is install twrp recovery(TWRP recovery for Xperia SP), then download Custom rom(i.e Cyanogenmod-Cyanogenmod builds for Xperia SP), if you like also google apps(OpenGapps) and install trough recovery. It might seem difficult, i know i did not explain it very good but its late... If you have any question or you want me to write a tutorial how to install cyanogenmod step by step just tell me.
Edit: even if you cant access the system it will be easy to install cyanogenmod
Problem Solved:
Flashtool was the Problem. I used the newest Version. After a Downgrade to 9.8.16 it worked.
Thank You very much
