Pretty much the topic. I love my Nexus 7 but there is just a bit of bleed at the top left.
I searched for topics about this but all I found was a fix for screen separation.
Thanks!

I read that loosening the screw beneath the bleed slightly will solve the problem.

Does anyone else have light bleeding on the edge of the bezel? Its only when the softkeys light up and its on the lower left hand side. Was just curious to see if im the only one. Its really noticeable at night.

I noticed that early on a lot of folks confused the poorly-conceived background on the rosie for light leakage but I haven't heard a lot about it since then and I don't have what you're describing either.

Its definitely light shinning through the edge of the bezel. Cause if the lights for the softkeys turn off its not there anymore.

They all have light leakage from the bottom where the glass meets the bezel. The light is coming from the soft-keys. I have seen several D3's and they all have this issue to varying degrees.
have it here too. nothing too noticeable, but i did see it. really though, other than that (and the questionable battery cover), this thing is built just as solid as the D2, if not better.
Here too
I have a very minute amount of light leakage too, on my D3, at the bottom edge of the screen. I had the same issue, actually a lot more noticeable, on my Thunderbolt. This is a common issue with all phones that use capacitive menu buttons at the bottom. It varies in degrees, but is there on almost every piece I have seen at the local Verizon store.
Mine definitely does it; but to be completely honest, I think it looks kinda neat, so I've got no complaints.

Hey I was wondering if anybody else's plastic piece is bulging out on the left side look at the pics below. The first one is the bulged on the left side of the tablet and the second picture is the right non bulged side. Maybe I'm just OCD but now I can't stop looking at it and its driving me crazy.

Thankfully my screen lifting problem was solved by me just loosening the screws so I'll use that for now until it stops working, but this is bothering me.

I also fixed mine the way you have done it but that was temp solution and I tried tightening as well and the sponge removing solution but all were temp. This washer solution is permanent one.

The washers caused the trim bulge for me. Took out the washers and loosened all screws. No more trim bulge and screen lift is resolved, for now.

Hello xda I'm wondering who else has screen lift.
I got my nexus about 5 days ago and my friend right when got it checked for screen lift. It was fine then but I recently noticed it keeps getting worse on my right side!! I'm afraid that it is going to get a lot worse and I don't know what to do? Is there anything that I can do to prevent screen lift?

If Faux cooked up an app for us to be able to calibrate our screens, would you use it? I for one would and I'd imagine that every user in the Nexus 7 forums would jump aboard.
What I'm basically doing is getting a show of hands. Maybe if Faux would see this, he'd jump on it. I'd easily pay $5 for such an app. These screens are horribly calibrated out of the box as you all know..

Yea colors, contrast, brightness and gamma.
Some people get lucky and get a screen they're satisfied with like yourself, but some of us aren't so lucky.
For example my N7s gamma is too high and everything is overly bright or has a bloom effect so to speak. Essentially making reading text a task. Stressful on my eyes, etc.

It's not an AMOLED display, we cant calibrate it.
If we could, devs would have done it already.

Then sir please explain me why the n4 which has a IPS LCD can be calibrated. The only reason we can't calibrate it is because the devs can't find an interface (kernel) to change the colors like it is with the n4 (or amoled devices) . Seems like nvidia and Asus went cheap on this one... I hope there will be some changes for the new Android version.

That doesn't matter one bit. Neither does the type of screen. Any display can be calibrated. It's just a matter of figuring out how.

Calibrating this screen is simply not possible because the interface is not there. The only way to calibrate is using the specialized software from the factory, which we obviously don't have. It will never be possible in the kernel, unless google/asus adds it (unlikely).

Amoled always has calibration info to mess with due to how they work (no backlight) and their infancy requiring calibration.
Samsung devices almost always have calibration info, probably due to touchwiz and their display modes feature.
Nexus 4 users just got lucky. Google made a source change to emphasize yellows, leaving code for the devs to play with and now understand.

So I have a huge screen ghosting "problem", its most noticeable on the texting app, or when exiting out of the amazon app also you can see the amazon logo on the top of the screen fade out for a good 20 seconds. I called LG to ask if this was normal and they said no, I've read in some places that everyone has this problem though.
Do you guys see this problem on yours?
It is a known issue...it's worse for some than it is for others ...search the forum, there's ways you can reduce the ghosting effect.
