Hey everyone. Anyone having wifi issues?
My problem is a bit odd. Wireless is fine in chrome or when idle, but I constantly drop connection when I'm in the play store or on YouTube. I've rebooted my router. No issues on my galaxy nexus or ipad. Net gear router.

I have set up a Chromecast on two TV's in my house, both are recognised and both will play Netflix. Neither will play Youtube. The video is recognised the You tube splash screen shows on the TV, the title of the video shows however never loads fully. On my phone it shows a message saying "Playing your video on Living Room is taking an unusually long time".
I am living in the UK and purchased my Chromecast in USA. When I was in USA I set up the Chromecst and it worked perfectly for both Netflix and Youtube. Is this a Region issue or an APK issue. Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated..
I experience the same problem with 2 chromecasts here in Italy but only on second play, first video Is always ok, second one shows the problem you mentioned.
In UK and got it working fine. Did you let it update or flash?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

there is another topic on this HERE
Lots of people having problems, some seem fixed, mine isn't. Everything worked fine until today.
I'm in the UK on SKY using SKY Hub.
How strange as nothing has been done at this end and It's working now with Home Hub 5.
My Chromecast with Flashcast 1.1 (1330) can`t play youtube clips.
When I play it from PC or iPad or Nexus 5 the clip starts playing and suddenly stopped-Chromecast restart (always after 10-15 seks. playing).
There are few clips on youtube in very low quality which works correctly.
I have good quality of internet bandwidth and strong WIFI signal for all devices.
Just got my HD+ and installed CM 10.2.1 One of the things I noticed is that when I'm connected to Bluetooth speaker, WiFi seems to slow down.
Watching Netflix or YouTube would frequently stop and start buffering; even when it's playing, Netflix picture quality drops as if I'm on a slow network. As soon as I disconnect Bluetooth, everything starts working normal again. Is this a known issue? Thanks
I'm having a major problem and I can't seem to figure out the issue :\
I've been using Avia + Chromecast without issue for weeks.
However, recently I'm having an issue where all of the sudden the video playback goes to crap and things start playing at a slideshow rate.
Once things go wrong there is no recovering. If I play the movie on a tablet or my phone it works fine. As soon as I try to cast it through Avia though it takes forever to load and then when it finally does play it's a choppy mess. Restarting the Chromecast has no effect. Restarting the device I was using to cast also has no effect. The network is showing full speed ahead (21 down) and everything plays smoothly on any of the Android devices until I try to cast it.
The only thing that fixes the problem is restarting my router. I don't understand how it could be a router problem though because if that were the case wouldn't the speed drop, and why would everything play smoothly on the individual devices themselves?
I have also tried using AllCast to see if it's an Avia problem but the same thing happens. It'll work great, I stream an entire movie in high and then once I move onto the next piece of media/movie all of the sudden it's like the Chromecast gets confused and that's all she wrote until I restart the router :crying:
I have AT&T Uverse and my connection averages 20+ down.
I have the following devices connected to my network and the problem occurs casting from any of the Android devices eventually:
Computer
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (4.3)
Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.3)
LG G Pad 8.3 (4.2.2)
Google Nexus 7 (2012) (4.4.2)
Motorola Droid X (2.3.4)
Sony Blu-Ray Player
Does anyone have any clue what could be causing the problem?

We do not discuss s***box, but I'll try to address your general network issue.
Sounds like either there's some cascading failure like packet repetition death or throttling.
If your router has any WiFi optimizations like WMM, try toggling that. Also look for QoS (Quality of Service) functions too.

Removed the reference to forbidden app, thanks for the head's up.
I'll check my options to see if any of your suggestions will help. Thanks :good:
Hi all,
I have bought this tablet recently. One thing that does not seem to work, is the simultaneous use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. When I stream a radio station, it works fine until I connect to my Bluetooth speaker. Then the app loses WiFi connection all the time, and has to reconnect all the time.
I tried other apps, all behave the same. When I use my Acer tablet (same app, same location, same network, same speaker, same radio station etc. etc. ) everything works perfect, so the Asus seems the problem here.
I narrowed the problem down to interference between Bluetooth and WiFi: when I do a speedtest, WiFi speed drops from around 35 Mbps to 5 Mbps at exactly the moment sound starts coming out og the bluetooth speaker.
Is this a known issue, , anyone experience this, how couldthis be solved?
Thanks.
Hi.
I got a new car yesterday - Hyundai i20 - and it's my first experience of wireless Android Auto. I've got it working OK but I cannot get Spotify to actually play anything. I can select a track and it appears as playing but nothing actually happens. Work's fine when wired. Any suggestions? Thanks
I've worked out that this is because my phone is connected to the car Wi-Fi and Spotify is trying to access the internet through this but it does not have internet access. Blocking Spotify from accessing Wi-Fi solved this but I need to figure out a way of blocking only the car Wi-Fi.
You can just configure to use mobile data when the wi-fi doesn't have access to internet, its quite easy
I've done this but it doesn't work 100%. Mostly ok but not always, maybe due to my LTE coverage
Or you can enable similar thing in android dev. settings, to keep the mobile data active while on wifi
