I have made a build prop for Total Senseless ICS Rom ,that build prop is for those peoples that are missing some Gameloft games in Play Store and some other games and apps .The Build prop is located in System, you have to use Root Explorer to replace it ,when you replace the build prop set values to rw-r-r then reboot. The new name for your device will be HTC Desire S you can check in phone info in settings. And then you can download any Gameloft game from Play Store. Dont use this build prop for other Roms, if someone needs another version of Build prop (for Sense 4 Rom for example ) let me know. And dont forget to clear Play Store data in Settings -Apps-All .Press thanks button if you like it .good luck :good:
Thanks, works well!

I can't see how you would push it to the phone if its not rooted. Root it and then enjoy the games.
Btw there is a way to play most of the games on SXL. But to find the modded apk's is very hard ......

Well i am using this build prop on Senseless ICS 4.0.1 Rom and works well, are you on Sense 3.6 Rom, if yes extract the build prop from System and send it to me and i will modify it for you
Silly me, i forgot to copy the original one, if someone kind enough to upload one, thanks

I used your build prop. However I still am not able to use it on my rooted Sensation XL. I have attached my orginal build prop, can you please modify it for it to work.
Never mind, I did it. It was easy. If you want to know how you go into build prop using your root explorer.
Then edit the ro.product.model and change it to ro.product.model= Nexus S.
So ro.product.model=.... is now changed to ro.product.model= Nexus S.
Then once you have done that scroll down and change ro.product.manufacturer and change that into ro.product.manufacturer= samsung.
So ro.product.manufacturer=.... is now changed to ro.manufacturer= samsung.
Then once your are done, save it and REBOOT!
Then once you have rebooted go into settings, apps, all, google play store and clear data. Then reboot again.
Then open up google play store and you should see a N.O.V.A 3 sale*If you do see that then you have successfully done it.
*if you are viewing this from a different time, you will not see the sale, instead search up Gameloft and it should appear with games that you have not seen before.

i should maybe explain my problem a bit more. i can download almost any game and play but some games like "wild blood" does not run on full power coz gameloft disables high graphics mode when installing it on nexus 4. i can play the game on galaxy s3 with full power and graphics but can't on nexus 4 athough it has more powerful cpu and gpu.
so if play store and the game thinks it is a galaxy s3 it will install with high graphich mode.
hope i made it clear enough for you..

Hey guys,
Maybe there is anyone out there who can help me with my little problem.
Some days ago, I changed from the SGS2 to the SGNOTE, I flashed CM9 because its beautiful to use and is was like BOOOM when I tried to change my density to 190 and tablet mode was running flawlessly. Its amazing, very beautiful and comfortable to use. There is only one problem. The Play Store won't show me normal apps anymore. Only tablet ones. That's not a big problem but its weiring. So I have to access Play Store via browser to see what's new.
Does anyone know, how to change the device information for play store, to get the normal phone apps again?
Thanks in advance!

You would have to have a modded market. Or try ParanoidAndroid. That way you can have more control over lcd density. And it is based on cm9.

Yeah I know about Paranoidandroid. In my opinion ist too crappy. It works not half as good as pure cm9. I know why I don't want to use it, their programming progress is also... I would say a little bit slow.
I know from my HD2 times that something like that was possible...
Anyone have an idea?

That's the problem. The option I said before was to edit the build prop file. I tried to change device names... everything to i9100. Except the fingerprint because I haven't found a valid one... I tried also to reset the dpi value... no change... after a reboot only a 240 dpi screen said hello to me... tablet play store is here again... I forgot something... but what?
Anyone here using stock cm9? Can you tell us if you have normal play store or tablet one?

No reason to change device name. Changing the build.prop should change your density. If it doesn't, you may not be rooted properly or something didn't work right. What are you using to change it?
Stock CM9 would use the regular play store.
You can search the forums (probably Themes/Apps) and find a Vending.apk, which is the modded market.

When I change my density, the play store acts like a tablet and shows me tablet apps.
This ROM I'm on (PA) is edited to make the play store detect both phone and tablet apps, I think.

I read some posts where people managed this via device name and label. I also read something where people solved their problem with density. Its a little bit weird...
And only to be sure... you have tablet store if on the home page of the store is a tile placed called "suggestions for tablets" or something like this...

I've tried on both CM9 and Paranoid Android under 213 DPI, and neither let me purchase Photoshop Touch.
I imagine app compatibility is device-specific and has little to do with non-standard DPI.

The problem with tablet play store is solved.
My steps were as following:
1. Flash a new update from cm9 or any from you want to use. Standard density should be set (240).
2. Clear Market data in settings and open it.
3. If you are able to choose an app and download it, close play store and make a backup (app + data) via TB.
4. Change your density to your favourite one and reboot.
5. Market should be still phone market. If not, restore from TB but it should not be necessary.
Best regards.
Deleting data is the best case strp also for apps causing trouble

Sorry guys I have to correct my last post.
This method won't work. Only the first minutes when ROM is fresh. After that its not possible to get normal market back.
But now I have a working solution.
LCD Density Changer Pro
You can change the density at first. Then you have an option to fix market compatibility issues. And it really works.
What I have done:
1) Because we have no chance to download or buy the app in market because its not shown, we have to get the app over our friend Google. (But don't point with the finger at me now, go on reading)
2) Since you have downloaded and installed the app, change your density and restart. After that open LCD Density Changer Pro again and go to Fix Market. There you can choose with which density market should run, or better which density market should think that its running.
3) A special modded market for your density will be created and you can download it. Additional you can download another app which will make this mod permanent by applying it every startup.
4) Finished. You have now the normal phone store with all the benefits. And concerning step 1 you can buy the app afterwards to thank the developer for this app (like I have done).
You can't do anything wrong, every step is explained inside the app.
Best regards

No problem man, fun is half of the life...
As long as cm9 didn't support tablet mode (at this time I was using my old sgs2) tablet mode was interesting and paranoid was the first from supporting this. The idea was good but the screen too small xD when I got my note I flashed cm9 at first because I used it most of the time on the sgs2... and at this time tablet mode was also working more than fine. Maybe cm9 contains not as much tweaks as paranoid but its more stable and that's the truth...
But hey, go on with your work. There are many people following you and believe in your hard work.. so thumbs up!

If there is model what your chose.

If this not help make point 2.
2.

Question, are there any apps that can be used as an alternative app market?
hi guyz there's something really annoying that i always face
due to country restricts i can't download most games from Google Play, yes even free games

almost every nice game says so .. any help ?

Just search for market unlocker or enabler it removes country restrictions.
Well i did that before but it`s very old app and doesn't work
Edit your build prop with identifiers from US... check them in other countries' rom.
How do i do that ?
With a root explorer like root browser. The file is /system/build.prop and there are more than one field to edit. Check the differences between yours and an US one. Reboot to recovery, wipe cache maybe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... and of course BACKUP FIRST as those fields are tricky.
Iam afraid to root my phone as this may harm it .. and it cannot be changed in the future right ?
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
Root don't harm. Minimal mods neither. You can unroot. At least reflash. Phone won't die.
Try install it from desktop browser. If it still can't, try using other google account.

I don't usually like to give bad news guys but.. I was checking the official group, and there's absolutely no intention to release an "official" resized version.
Good thing is, a developer (Eugene Kartashov https://plus.google.com/114990662146047046928) has been launching some versions with different resolution sizes i'm waiting for him to get out the 1.28 lol
