Is there a rom for the att galaxy tab 8.9 that looks like the nexus 7 ROM. I think that would be cool to have that os on my tablet.
Basically...
You posted to the wrong section.
Still, the answer is currently no. You should check out This forum section which is about your model.
Also, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is what drives the Nexus 7. Asking if there is a Jelly Bean or Nexus 7 ROM for the Tab 8.9 I579 is redundant.
The User Interface (UI) on the Nexus 7 looks differently compared to other tablets that have a working Jelly Bean ROM because of a setting within Jelly Bean that tells it to have a layout such as the one found on phones and not on tablets. A solution has already been found to allow Nexus 7 users to enable the tablet layout.

Hello,
Currently i'm a happy HTC HD2 owner but after working a bit with Android and the galaxy i decided to buy one but before i do i have a few questions.
I installed the desire HD android Edition on my hd2 and it was wonderful. Can this android rom or something similar be installed on the galaxy?
Is it easy to root/get admin rights?
Also the galaxy android is the same compared to htc android ?
Waiting for your help and replies!
Thanks!
there's a huge thread on Android Development on porting the desire hd rom.
It will be alot of work if its possible.
Its easy to root it as tools are on the marketplace
Galaxy S runs Samsung's Touchwiz UI instead of HTC's SenseUI. This is where HTC wins, but hardware-wise Galaxy S is the best in the market right now
I just read an news item that, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus is releasing on next week. Looks like it has similar specs (may few are different), is someone going to port it for SGT 7" classic ? it has HC 3.2

I still feel like the spacemoose version of hc runs pretty smooth other than minor tweaks and bugs but not really that slow do I don't see it would be impossible... I think we should focus on ics instead though

didn't see anybody else posting this and I have seen a lot of interest. Ubuntu will make the software readily available for Nexus 4 and Galaxy nexus starting this thursday. Full article on C-Net. If I just missed another thread, feel free to delete this one
"Is your Android phone too easy to use? Worry not! Canonical, the company behind the mildly popular Linux distribution Ubuntu, has promised an exclusive preview version of its Ubuntu Phone software will be available to download from 21 February -- this Thursday.
It won't be open to every Android user though, with only two lucky Nexus devices able to install the preview -- the ageing Galaxy Nexus and the magnificent Nexus 4."

So, there's rumors floating around that say that Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie, will only run on quad core processors. If this is the case, would devs still be able to make roms that are 5.0 based and are compatible with our Note and other phones, or will it just be a brick wall at 4.2.2?
Sounds like total BS. I wouldn't worry about it.
Cm is always there.. If there is android 7 in the market cm will avail you that too and wrong section to ask a question

Relax, KLP will work on dual-cores.Remember, the Galaxy Nexus is a dual core phone.
Source of the rumour ?

Galaxy Nexus got discontinued though so it might not get KLP.

Wrong. Did Google announce that they would not release future updates for Galaxy Nexus ?
Check KLP features, Google it - not a single article I read states KLP requires quad core device. Period.
When 4.2.2 was released Google said it was the last update for the nexus s but didn't say anything about galaxy nexus
I just bought a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I have had other Android tablets before. My most recent was a Nexus 7. I rooted my 8.4 easily enough. When I tried to uninstall some bloatware, the system just reinstalled it I'm looking for a custom ROM like Clean ROM on the Nexus 7 - one with less bloatware or at least the ability to have control over what apps I keep.
Thanks for any input.
Sorry wrong forum. Ignore!
