Incipio making a case for the Nexus 7 - Nexus 7 Accessories

In response to my inquiry about a case for the N7
Incipio Technologies: Hi SPreston! We do have plans for Nexus 7 cases! They're still in development, however you can expect to see releases coming up soon in September.
Hopefully they develop a NGP/TPU case for it. I absolutely love my Incipio TPU case for my Evo LTE so if its anything like it then it will be top notch.

ngp always covers buttons and makes it hard to press, tried it on gs2 and gnex, good material but bad button

Yeah thats the one drawback with their NGP cases. Some people like having the buttons covered, but personally I like it when my cases have cutouts for the buttons.

Is there a soft touch battery cover available for the Nexus s? Hate the regular one, its the single biggest flaw of the Nexus besides not having a micro SD card slot...

I agree. This is the most frustrating thing because the thing feels like a bar of soap in your hand. The only thing I found which might give you a better grip and not much bulk are the gel skins. I got one on order so when it gets here I'll report back.

The Seidio extended battery comes with a grippy battery cover. The cheaper alternative is one of those gel cases.
Another option is spraying some Plasti-Dip on the oem cover.

the problem with gel cases is that they attract too much dirt and stuff. gel cases don't look good after wearing them in the pocket for a few days...
I'm curious about this too. Its the one thing I despise about the nexus s. It truly looks like a Samsung LCD tv with the horrid glossy back. I hate my slim 360. I hate the fat ps3. Sony's lucky the picture I get from my ex400 is amazing or I would hate that too. I hate shiny plastic. Matte ftw.

It's also one of the reasons I live my epic 4g. The rubberized back is the ****. And why the **** didnt Sammy implement the sliding port doors on the nexus s or gs2?? Genius idea.

it's frustrating as a user which has always bought HTC Devices since the HTC Magician (Windows Mobile). The built quality was always great with HTC and the Nexus One had a great casing.
The Nexus S is a nice device but the battery cover is one of the worst covers i've ever seen. I'm preparing a blog article where i'll be writing about nexus one vs. nexus s pros and cons...and i found quite some points for both of them...still undecided which of the two companies did a better job at their time...

get the incipio feather case, its rubberized and doesnt add too much weight.
I got one of those mesh cases off ebay for £2, its weird as it feels like rubber but is hard like plastic, adds no bulk and gives nice grip, yet its easy to get in and out of my pocket. Its funny as I have bought a few cases, some really expensive ones but this "cheap" one is the best.
+1 for Incipio Feather. It's annoyingly expensive being a brand-name case, but it adds almost no thickness to the phone and gives you that nice soft-touch feeling, makes it much easier to hold this thing.
This phone isn't nearly as hard to hold onto as the less-curvy first-generation Galaxy S phones like the Vibrant and Fascinate (the Captivate and Epic were not so slick and thus don't count).
Does it fit European 9023 devices?

I had one of these on a work iPad as well, really liked the case...really hated the iPad. I have the stock N7 case but I think this would be better.
Interesting. Looks great. Does the cover fold back properly? I ordered a Poetic smart case similar to this and fearing it won't lay flat when folded back.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Oh it works perfect. I just love the case. I will keep y'all informed if they contact me again about it.

Looks awesome! This is exactly the sort of case I'm looking for. I like the fact that the stock case fits the look and feel of the tablet, but it didn't seem to fold back properly, and I'd rather buy a case that has built in magnetic functionality.
Do you know if they ship to Australia? Every case I've found so far that fits my wants (unobtrusive, doesn't cover the bezel, looks decent, has magnets) can't be shipped to Australia.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
this probably would have been the case i got if it had come out with the nexus. i've already ordered 3 other cases so gonna have to skip this one.
What ever happened to this case? I've been holding off on buying a case until this one came out but I'm starting to think I may have to look elsewhere.

I was looking for an invellop case too and found this one instead for my Nexus 7. It's the Poetic Slimline case. Only 1.7 cm thick. It's really sharp looking with a magnetic opening too.
Just search for it on Amazon: Poetic SLIMLINE Portfolio Case for Google Nexus 7

Diztronic, love it!

I bought directly from the site of the seller.
I've been a user of this case since my last phone (HTC Evo LTE). The case did me really well on that phone and it was slim on form factor. Protector was also very good on the previous phone as I've dropped it couple times with the phone in the case. No damage were shown on the case or on the phone. Because of this, I decided that I would choose the same company again if I were to change phones.
This time around, I went with the Samsung Note 2 as an upgrade to my previous phone. The case wasn't announced when I got the phone, but soon after they decided to make the case. I bought it the second day it was announced through the owners site. Case arrived quickly and the quality is still superb. If you check this listing, there's a few photos that I posted which represented the case. When you lay the case flat with the phone inserted, it's basically the same thickness as the Evo LTE with the phone in a diztronic case. Adds very very minimal bulk which doesn't affect the usability.
The back of the case is a matte finish. This matte finish actually allows the user to grip the phone better. That's not just it, the finish also reduces all fingerprints and dust particles.
Phone cutouts are all perfect and aligned to the spot. Power button and volume buttons use a soft silicon touch. It's covered, but in no way does it affect the touch. I can still easily press those buttons and the phone would respond to my action.
Overall, great case! Price is right! Go for it!
Im pretty pleased with mine too even though I normally dont use tpu protectors. It has a really nice feel and the sides seem like they provide substantial protection. No real complaints from me. I know diztronic has a great reputation and this was my first case from them so im happy.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Im on the same boat!! I detest silicone and TPU cases as they are flimsy and stretchy, causing plenty of dusts to get trapped inside and scratch the device. But when I saw this case on Diztronic site I was very amazed so I ordered one. It arrived fairly fast despite the holiday seasons for US to Australia. Been using for 2 days and have to say, the best TPU case I've ever seen. The texture is very very nice, matte and really nice to touch and hold, raised lips to protect the screen, cover all the buttons (my favourite features), compact and thin enough but still have a decent protection from it. I'm very happy with this case, by far the best case I've got for Note 2 yet.
The only thing they should improve is to stick with matte texture all the way rather than having the raised lips/edges in glossy texture. And the seams could use some clean up.
Perhaps. I kinda like the edges with the smooth finish. Feels good when I need to stretch fingers across the whole phone.
One other plus I noticed is it seems to not get stretched easy. As I said this is my first Diztronic case so I'm sure others already know, but I've taken it on and off about 5 times and it still fits tight.

I think it's pretty firm on my end. I don't seem to loose control of it when it's in my hand.
I just want to pipe in and say I really like the Diztronic tpu case on my note 2. I used their cases on my Galaxy Nexus and was very happy. They add very little weight and size to the phone, yet I feel like my phone has pretty decent protection. My Galaxy Nexus still looks brand new, even though I dropped it a few times. I've dropped my note 2 one time and it still looks perfect.

Can't wait to get mine. I been thru quite a few cases hope this is the last one, it seems to fit all the criteria.
Diztronic is my preferred case-maker. Good quality, decent prices, great fit and feel. Can't ask for more than that.
Quick question on people who has it, I checked out the bodyglove case from sprint, and while it fits nice the sides were flimsy, does the diztronic fit nice and tight on the sides?

One more new case for LG G2, Slimmest case out there, almost no lip, rubbery coating.

I am a case hater(screen protectors too). I never had a case on any of my 50+ smartphones for the past 4 years. Every case I buy will have something that turns me off or disappoints me. After several days of use. I take it off and never put it on. It is clearly waste of money and no protection at all for the phone. Recently I cracked 2 of my phones(Note2 and G2). And decided that I will have a case. I got quick window which is ok but adds some bulk and not comfortable to use.(flip part gets in a way)
For the past several years 1 case got my attention. Ringke slim for iphone 5. http://www.amazon.com/Release-Premi...ie=UTF8&qid=1385245025&sr=1-1&keywords=ringke it was for my wife's iPhone5. (i am an iphone hater too ) it is the slimmest and most comfortable case I have ever used on any phone.(dont bring out your pitch forks and torches, it is my personal opinion)
Now that company started making cases for LG G2. http://www.amazon.com/RINGKE-PERFEC...UTF8&qid=1385245039&sr=1-1&keywords=ringke+g2
I just ordered mine and will wait to see how the quality and the comfort is.
I wanted to ask if anyone has used this case for G2 and how is the experience?
I hope somebody will benefit from this post.
Looks like that particular one only works the international variant.
I wonder how much protection it actually provides in a fall. Looks pretty sweet, though.
I had one for my g-nex and I loved it. It is very slim. It stinks they don't have a version for the Verizon g2 or I would get one.

Yeah I had case from Ringke for my Galaxy Nexus too...So I email Ringke...and they told me right now they have no interest on making a Verizon Variant for the G2 case...Sad.
Ah that sucks I would have really liked one for my g2. I remember with the g-nex enough people emailed them for a extended battery version and they actually made one. I guess that was a little different though. G-nex was a much bigger community though.

Yeah...If Verizon just kept the original model then it would been better. More choices for accessories..
I had a Ringke Slim on my Galaxy Nexus. Loved the slim profile BUT the plastic is cheap, on my GNex model, it started getting hairline cracks on all 4 corners. This was common. Ringke shipped out replacements but the replacements did the same thing.
Since them I moved on to CaseMate Barely There and the Incipio Feather.
Out of the CaseMate and Incipio, I found the Incipio to have the overall high quality award with it's super slim profile, nice soft matte feel, and super high durable plastic that is solid all the way though (not painted like Ringke).
I put an Incipio on my womans iPhone 4 and fell in love with it. Since then I've ordered me one for my old Galaxy Nexus and have a new one on my G2.
Thats my personally recommendation of all time favorite slim cases, and I've probably been there and tried them all.
Thanks for the recommendation. I will have to try one out!

I got the Poetic Palette case. It just like the Incipio Feather but I got it cause of the 3yr warranty and it cost less. Nice rubber-like feel to the back. People that see the phone think the case is the official back of the phone and love it.

Better reviews than what the OP posted, if anyone wanted something to compare to.
Poetics 3yr warranty is freaking awesome but I've found their cases on the cheap side. The good side is you just email them and they send you a new one.
I haven't tried the poetic palette. Looks good. Hopefully its isn't painted like most.

The Poetic Palette case seems pretty hard for a slim case. It feels just a few mm thinner then a credit card but really hard. Not that it bothers me, but the case is hard to take off once you get it off. You have to take one corner off first, then the rest; I like that. Makes me feel that a fall won't just make the case come right off. Oh and it has that low profile when face down that you can barely see the glass isn't resting on the surface. Also gives you just enough clearance that the camera lens and power button aren't touching the surface too. Over all just happy with it so far

The palette case is either the soft touch feel (which i personally hate) or the "quiksand" texture. I would recommend the sand one personally.

I want the Feather for my Sprint variant but all they "officially" have is the Feather Shine, which is too slippery for me. I see that they make a Feather for AT&T and Verizon. I'm assuming that I can't use the VZ, but can I buy the AT&T version for my phone.
By the way, +1 on the Ringke cheap plastic. I had the exact same case for my Gnex and while I liked it, I got the four corners cracking too.
Yea you CAN'T use the Verizon one because the Verizon one has smaller buttons. I can CONFIRM that my Verizon one, the button cut out is curved for the smaller buttons.
You CAN use the one for the AT&T version or other. I'd probably just pick them on from Amazon. All the G2's are exactly the same with the exception of the Verizon buttons. Verizon really screwed up changing those. I not only like the look of the standard buttons better but I also think it would be easier to use. Different topic though.

I've been using this amCase Hybrid Bumper case for around a week now. I LOVE it. I came from a similar supcase and this one just feels better in the hand in terms of grip and button tactility.

Nope, it is very slim in comparison to other cases like it. I was surprised at how good it is for the price
I got this case for .01 cents on Amazon thanks to someone on the forums here. I freakin love this case! I originally bought a case from Best Buy for $34.99.. PSSSHHH.. this blows that out of the water.. price? $2.00 included shipping! Scratches? None. The one at Best Buy was full of them right in the packaging even. It was the only case they had at the time since the M8 was brand new.
Adds a little bulk to the phone, but it's not bad.. it's not a crappy iPhone! Those things look like bricks.
Sadly doesn't seem to be available in UK

"Bumper" cases came in around the time of the iPhone 4 with antennagate. Purely a case which surrounds the edges only. No back.

I was just defining what a bumper style case used to be. Even in later iPhone models where antennagate issues were fixed, Apples Bumper case spawned a whole line of similar style cases for iPhone and other handsets. Companies like Spigen and Draco continued to make bumper cases without rear sections, for design and for edge protection. Latter even made one for the M7 ( http://www.dracodesign.com/draco-one-aluminum-bumper-for-htc-one-m7-black/).
Now it appears a bumper case can mean anything. Bumper to me always suggests "around the edge or extremity". The bumper on a car is at the edges. The bumper in a pinball machine is an edge.
Phones still have antennas dude. They just might not be wrapped around the edges!

He he yup!
I kinda miss not having a "phone of the masses" as the range of cases for iPhone is virtually without limits. Spigen did some really nice true bumper cases made up of two parts one part soft bumper with a harder plastic outer bumper you slipped over the softer one.
Guess it'd be harder to create a bumper for the M8 given its slimmer profile and more rounded off edges. The iPhone was quite squared.

Back when I had my iPhone 4/4s I used to be amazed at how much people spent on their phones protection, it even got to the point where they were buying protection for their cases.
