A MIUI ROM has been released in rootzwiki !!!!!
Issues:
1.Cant switch to lte band.
2.Mediascanner fails to start at first rom flash, to fix this go into your gallery app and hit "browse sdcard" and navigate to your pictures so the mediascanner service can start, after that return to your gallery/music app(menu refresh) now your photos and music should show up.
3.Signal bars are inacurrate.
ROOT
Features:
1.Faux 006 kernel with sweep2unlock.
2.Nova launcher as an optional launcher.
3.Aosp ics keyboard
4.Deleted a few stuff to slim down the rom like htc ebooks and useless apps etc.
5. Root is disabled by default THIS IS HOW MIUI DOES IT, FOR YOUR OWN SECURITY!, you need to re-enabled it by opening any root requiring app.
tethering work around
Ok wifi tether works just installed wifi tether from the google playstore and changed this settings and it will work:
Start Application
Go to Settings
Select Device Type -> Galaxy Nexus CDMA/LTE
Select Change Setup-Method -> netd (master)
Select Enable WiFi-Encryption -> Your Choice
Select Routing Fix
Start Tether and allow Root

im very excited about this rom, but im going to wait until a higher version number and some of the problems have been resolved before i flash, im not set up to back everything up and flash a new rom right now, and im happy atm. and my boyfriend is getting tired of me ignoring him.
i already posted this in the afternoon when I got it from Rafy. I think it was taken down already cuz I dont see it anywhere.
Excited but I'd rather wait until the bugs are sorted, I take it this is SENSE based not AOSP based, like the HTC Sensation/Pyramid MIUI Port?
Excellent news though, I've been missing MIUI, and I don't really use LTE anyway so that's not a real problem for me.

Same here. Anything lower than 1.0 scares me away. But I absolutely love the customizations on MIUI. Keep up the good work guys!

I was going to say, it had too few bugs to be as low as 0.1
Well I took the dive, it doesn't have root, how do I get root on it
Nova was missing options for the desktop scroll type. And no root meant I went back to virtuous

Root is managed via "Permissions" app - allows root to be turned on and off, and individual permissions of apps to be blocked/allowed. You'll still need "Hide my Root" from the market or similar if you want to truely hide root from apps that check for rooted roms.
It's great! Where did you get the download?

Reboot your phone. Open up an app that requires root (like titanium backup) and it should ask you if you want to allow root. MIUI "turns off" root by default. This is all outlined in the OP of MIUI over on rootzwiki.

According to RULE (11,3), you can't even post a Rootz link in your signature. Great stuff.
after using this rom or a few days, which required not only signing up to rootzwiki forum but also another forum before I got to the download file, I find this ROM very stable and very quick, and it has excellent battery life (probably due to not having LTE for the most part) but yeah this is now my daily driver, I only wish it was on XDA, I might build on this myself at XDA...

Hi all
On Monday I upgraded my IncS to Android 4.0.4. It runs fast and good. But one thing is missing:
On the Sensation, there is the App "HTC Notes" to make some notes and can add Photos, Videos and Sound-Recordings. It's very cool. So I tried to extract the App from the HTC Sensation and install it on my IncS. But when I try to install it, the installer only says: "App not installed"
How can I bring this App to my IncS?
Thanks

I've been using this ROM for a few days now. Some feedback:
Pros:
Faster boot times than plain CM10
Interface seems smoother
I really love the DPI/scale! Applications look and feel so much nicer on the device's small screen.
ROM is minimal, no unwanted software. Just the basics.
Cons:
Audio playback stuttering is severe regardless of player, kernel or CPU tweaks. (Music lovers be warned)
USB Tethering is not working. (Looks like entire USB module/driver crashes when enabling)

To fix music stuttering go to performance and change kernel to smartassv2 and sub tethering probably needs 3rd party app

Nice ROM indeed. Thank you for the port Mark.
Hey, just one thing, you think you can remove the torch app since it's of no use with our device? And also, I've had some problems installing a few apps due to the DPI I think.
Other than that it's very smooth and slick. Great job!
EDIT: Well, it certainly doesn't appear to be a DPI-related issue, I've been messing with build.prop but I can't get Tasker to install via Play Store... it is important for me because I use it to optimize battery and data usage...

Hey thanks for the tip bro! Did you flash on top of the rom or you had to re-flash the rom and then flash gapps?
I just flashed it on top

Ok so I flashed gapps from Tantrum's pack, didn't work. Then I flashed gapps from Goo.im and still nothing. Strangely, I restored a nandroid I made before flashing Pure Performances and that changed things a bit. Still not working for me though... Play Store now lets me choose install but I get 'Shared lib missing' and the installation fails. I only have 3 apps with this problem: Tasker, Google+ and QR Droid...
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
OK, if somebody flashes this ROM and gets the 'Missing shared library' error message when installing apps from Play Store, this is the fix:
NOTE: In order for this fix to work, you must have Google Maps and Google Search apps installed
1) Download 4.1.2 GAPPS from goo.im to your SD card, (actually a GAPPS from other ROM for Desire C will do, but I just prefer the "official" stuff. )
2) Using a file explorer with root privileges, unzip the gapps zip (I use ES File Explorer)
3) Inside the ZIP go to system/etc/permissions
4) Extract the file named com.google.android.maps.xml to your SD root directory
5) Exit and go back to your SD root directory
6) Look for a folder named system, open it, you'll find the file you just extracted
7) Copy and paste the file to your system directory /device/system/etc/permissions
8) Assign R/W permissions as follows:
Owner R W -
Group R - -
Other R - -
9) Clear Google Play cache
10) Reboot your phone
11) WIN!!!
You can safely delete the extracted directory in your SD root directory.
This is by far my favorite Desire C ROM. It's light on resources and feels soooo smooth. Also it has pretty good battery life.
I recommend flashing too Crossbreeder and PurePerformances to complement overall speed.

Also, for the keyboard bug, you can install any 3rd party keyboard for JB. Just make sure you have it ready on your SD card to install right after flashing. I use TouchPal myself.

Hi all. So I've just unlocked the bootloader on my Cricket HTC Desire C. But when I try to install Superboot, it just reboots and stays stuck on the HTC logo with a message. "This build is for development purposes only". Can anyone help me?

r1 superboot splash screen
1. Was the phone operating and in use after you rooted it with r1_Superboot?
2. Have you installed Superboot and installed a ROM without rebooting the system or wiping caches/data etc?
3. Have you installed a Custom Recovery?
4. Have you ensured you have read through guides before flashing? I ask this with only -*1*- posting it does not bode well!
A quick google search and 3 pages in you find -> https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=26&cad=rja&ved=0CEsQFjAFOBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D2305429%26page%3D2&ei=KvyuUr_dJ4OAhAftnIDABw&usg=AFQjCNGgxlojZOIPXesuQTzy0TOM7dCwBw&bvm=bv.57967247,d.bGQ Go back to Thread Start and post #6 leads you to a good guide -> {{READ the whole thread as there may be more up to date info than my quick search }} http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947613
If after trying to access HBOOT, flash a recovery, flash a ROM does not work you will have to see about flashing a DIAG image {extreme case}
The key is Cricket. try this thread, very hard to find... http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-htc-desire-c/85095-root-new-post.html
Anything here in XDA is not for the Cricket, don't try.
I have not done anything except unlocking the bootloader.
