I have installed REMICS JB ROM over cyanogenmod 10 but in both of this rom media scanner isn't running. No pictures in my gallery and no music in music player. When i download Quicpic app from playstore the pictures are there but no in Gallery app.
How can i fix this?

Full wipe, wipe cache and dalvik, installed cm10 then remics jb, then fix permission. Still nothing is fixed!
Same as me. I try everything wipe, cahe, reflash...from cm10 to remjb and from remjb to cm10.... from stock to cm10 to remjb.... all the combination and still nothing.
you may try this..
For ringstone:
create on SD:
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
For notification:
create on SD:
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
and put your audio files
It work after unmount/mount SD( by enable USB mode and disable ).
good luck.

Hello,
I've generated a zip with romkitchen.org, for my Galaxy S.
It's a wipe version, and to avoid problems, I made a factory reset and wiped cache partition before flashing.
I had no problem for flashing the rom. But my phones reboots without a reason (for exemple after downloading an app in the market, just before installation).
Is it possible to know a little more about the problem or if someone already had the problem ?
[Edit]
I don't have that problem using Darky's.
The Doc build is composed of :
- XXJPY v8.1.1 WIPE
- JP9 Multi CSC
- Hardcore's Kernel
- JPY Modem
- Android 2.2.1 Browser, Zeam Launcher 2.8.7, Go Launcher v1.41
- Swype JPU, Samsung EURO Keyboard
- Unified Inbox, Flash Player, FM Radio App, Maps 5.0, Memo, MMS AOSP, STK, Screen Capture, YouTube App
- Quickboot, SGS Tools
- Non Increasing Ringtone, Voodoo Sound, Damian Tweak, LCD Density Changer
- WPA Supplicant Standard
- XXJPY AOSP theme
[/Edit]
I know it's not cool the bump his own topic, but i've an update :
It's not just happening on market downloads, also on other apps (tried to launch titanium backup && MMS app, same problems).
Could it be a kernel problem?
hi, when i install a new rom I do this steps:
1) factory reset
2) format card (internal+external) - before this i move the titanium backup folder on PC
3) clear cache/dalvik
5) install wipe version
I never had problems. try to do this and see what happens. after installing the rom from kitchen, update the kernel to 13c, the latest one on hardcore's topic. After that connect to PC an copy back to the root of the SD card the titanium backup folder. Install TB and restore.
If you still have problems like reseting, then it's a fault hardware.
To be shure, try to install a stock rom, if it still resets it's hardware
I'm using Darky's and I don't have reboots atm.
I didn't format my Internal SD. I'll try it. Thanks for the advice. (Altough I didn't think it was possible to be the source of the problem!)
Yes the ROM kitchen is having problems right now. The problem seems to be certain themes, which make the entire ROM defective. Several of the themes work fine. Try Andromeda. Hopefully the problem will be fixed before long.
Also, make sure you use the most recent version of the ROM
Hi to All from Italy..
i have installed build 13 after cache and data wipe.. very awesome rom.. now the camera zoom work correctly. The only issue i find is in the music app.. after one reebot of the device, music app create a new instance of all the song.. now in my phone i find three albums with 45 songs because i have restarted my phone four times.
When i try to play music the app crashing down,
I have tryed to reinstall the ROM with new cache and data and davilk cache and reinstall gapp 7.1 but the problem is the same..
The only solution i find is to disable music app and install power amp but i prefer to use the original CM7 Music App.
I like the integrated commands on the screen lock.
In Build 12 music app work correctly..
Anyone have a solution for this issue?
Thanks!! all this team is great.!!
Well i thought this problem was solved in the last builds...
anyway, go to settings -> apps > media storage > clear data and cache
reboot and wait

Thanks for your response.. i tried it but doesn't work correctly..
At the next reboot, music app add another new instance into all the old.. i'm sure this bug is inexistant on the previous build (12)
I think is a problem of the music app, not the build.
You know where i can find the last version of music app? I want try to install it...
you could try to clear the data (same procedure as for the media storage) with the music app first

Android Revolution HD 5.3 is a really good rom. It makes my Incredible S works smoother than any other rom I tryed.
I updated it from 5.2 to 5.3. First time,I didn't wipe personal data because I tought it's not necessary since it's just another version of same rom.
It worked normally power on,whatever when next time I rebooted the phone I lost my custom ringtone which was reseted to [Default ringtone(204)].
Then I checked the ringtone/notification/alarm list.It is nothing but blanck.I can't set any other ringtones include system default and other custom ones synced through google account.
Then I checked the default music player and default gallary. It show me nothing but [No music found] and [No photos or videos found].
Moreover! I couldn't take any photo through default camera.
I also couldn't choose any picture to share when the app launch photos through default gallary, like LINE.
However,I could launch the media through ES File Explorer or undefault music player.
I tryed to handle the problem. I full wiped the whole data and reinstall [Android Revolution HD 5.3] in recovery.
However, the problem apears again and again when I reboot.
Is there anybody facing the same problem like me? Or possibly there are someone know how to solve it?
By the way, firefox android crash every times I launch it when this problem occur, but it can be solved by clearing firefox's data.
fix promissions in recovery ----> tools
If i helpd u Pls give me Thanks

I have a small problem with DMod v6: when I try to use JobManager.apk (the task switcher) my phone crashes and reboots.
I did a full wipe and installed the rom again - same problem.
I extracted the app from the zip archive and wrote it again to /system/app, set the correct permissions, then wiped dalvik cache and I still have the problem.
I'm using kernel 3.0.31-1231497 (XXAME1 stock kernel) now, but I also had the problem with the kernel that came with the rom. My baseband is XXAME1, but I had the same problem with XXAMB3.
I wasn't able to enable logcat. I tried to comment in /etc/init.d/S08_logger the line with "busybox rm -f /dev/log/main" but it didn't help; I also tried to create the file manually and set the permissions but the file disappeared at the next reboot.
Any ideas?
LE: The problem was created by the Yatse app. I removed the app and now everything works ok.

Hey,
Cannot get a specific fix in mind. Just a few preliminary suggestions..;
** Try removing thumbnails & cache files of gallery application. (It should be somewhere in Sdcard/android/... sub folders)
** Try clearing data of gallery application.
** Try also clearing cache & dalvik cache at last.
