[Q] Which Kernel is stable and works on Stock v2.2.2 v10d P-lease Help

Which Kernel works in Stock 2.2.2 v10d !!!
From past few days i'm looking for a kernel which works on stock and can be OC to 1.4GHZ or 1.5GHZ Please help me
If you can help me i will be always thankful to you

Hi. First of all, read, read, read and then maybe proceed. But proceed only if you have an O2x.(P990) Best is to go here and do the superoneclick and rommanager/clockwork stuff. Simply follow the steps. Make a back-up with rommanager or clockwork via reboot.
There are serveral good and stable 2.2 roms, my choice is FR19 Fear Edition
Just search, read and try it out.
If you mess it up and are stuck with a seemingly dead phone use this method.

I have a p990 only and wanted a kernel which works in stock is it necessary to put a custom rom for overclock and if I put a kernel and I wanted to go back to my phones original kernel how will I. Do that f and i have already done root, rommanger and back up but I need a kernel which overclocks and work in stock.

neoblaze kernel can do 1,4GHZ overclock, please check the dev section will you?

i always use for daily use @ 1,1ghz. only use 1,4ghz for bench. for battrey life i think still the same i always charge my phone 2 times a day. don't know with anyone else

does it work on gingerbread gr1 alpha?

Do you notice faster battery drainage with wifi or am i the only one? within an hour usage with wifi, battery drops from from 70 to 55%, is it usual?

15% per hour is perfect with constantly screen on. 1% for 4 minutes awake is brilliant for a smartphone.

it's only work on 2.2.2 i.e stock rom

Im using Darkys ROM past 4 months and getting tried of the UI.
What is the best rom at the moment with a nice ui thats stable and good battery life?

Try ICS you will be amazed for example Tiramisu or Slim ICS.

Dont really see the point in ICS yet as ive no need for it plus you get better battery life with 2.3.

Well I'm not so sure about the battery life.
Try latest value pack 2.3.6 (stock Samsung latest).
Or look at the development forum, there are quite new gb roms also

Try stocklite.
Or you could even try Cyanogenmod.

Thanks for the reply ! I've tried cyanogen already but it's battery backup is worse than stock.. Will give stocklite a try.. thanks again

+1 stocklite remember to use battery extender kernel n some battery scripts.. my ace can fullfill my heavy use of whatsapp all day long chatting with my gf

it has a very great looking , performance and battery life

Try SGSII ICS v9
In my case SGSII ICS v9 ROM does the work!
The looks are better than stock.. The battery life has made me stick to it since 3 months

Do you install any script / mod for your battery? Because, I'm using SGSII ICS v9 too, but my battery is drain fast for just a day, for 3G and wifi.

The uploader himself suggests to install Imbawind's Adrenaline Engine.. Thats all for me! Well, you may try underclocking or battery calliberation! :good:

Also, I don't like 7.1 very much and right now I'm waiting for 7.5.
So for now, I'd recommend the old version. (6.5 I guess?)

Lets make it clear for everyone.
Stock based rom = batt life saver
CM7 based rom = batt life eater
But in the end, it depends actually of the user how he uses his/ her phone to manage batt life.

i was using stocklite 7.5, before that one, stocklite version 6 (i think it was 6) but i found out that when i put it on 3g my battery drained too fast.. Now i'm using SGS 2 v.9 with 2g and i change it to 3g when i check flipboard, fb,etc

What is the Recommended Rom for save battery life??????

If you are really concerned about a good battery life, then go for stock firmware or stock based roms. Such as Jana rom.
I use Jana rom and the battery life is quite good.

Or maybe try the new cyanmobile by squadzone. It´s amazing how can a cm7.2 based rom can perform a battery live semejant to the stock ones

emanoN v7 is the best one according to me you should try it cyanogen ate my bat and this one is very durable evn tho i overcloked it lasts for a day with music and internet surfing and when im not using it alot it lasts for a few days lol

I think cm7 by mebitek has the best battery life...and its quite stable as well...

Rom newer than Zeus with the same quality?

Why don't you try IZS Rom? It is very smooth and also good battery life. Or there is another one, Marvel v11 which you may try...
