Hi guys my name is Alberto, and I decided to write here asking some help.
First of all, I have done every method I have find here in this page and other ones, with no success...
So I am a little desperated, this is my story:
I decided to root my phone and flash it with CGM 7.2. Everything went as expected, but in a pair of days it hung twice. I did not like it so i decided to reflash it, thinking I could have done something wrong. But when I did that, after wipping data etc the phone got reboot loop.
I've tried LG Esteem, scripts found online, SmartFlash tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803) but always the same thing: LG's screen and lighting buttons forever.
I cannot use ADB because is not recogniced by my PC. I can only SW UPGRADE pressing V+ while I connect it to my PC.
I have tried to upgrade to official version, but got the same rebootloop. After that, something curious happened: I went to bed, and when I woke up tried to turn it on AND WORKED...the unpacking android image was there and i was able to set up the phone. ¿?
My problem with this method -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803 is it gets rebootloop and does not make Factory Reset.
I do not know what to do now... I can upgrade to Official Gingerbread, but I have no guarantee of avoid rebootloop...
Could you please help me?
Thx a lot!
Greetings
Did you use the right bin and fls files while using smart flash?
And regarding cm7, I too suffered frequent hangs and random boots.. Switched over to Boype's modded cm7, and barely did I get any hangs

Hi Vivek,
I used this:
stock ROM V10A EEU XXX with .bin & .fls. [CRC MD5: d880b8834400575b5827bafbf29a745e] - DepositFiles, FileServe, WUpload.
the same that radkor uses right here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803
and another one that I, following another guide, found here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1
291 ORE/ORANGE(SPAIN)
So I will try Boype's modded cm7 when I get rid of this problem... :crying:
I'm not very sure with that froyo rom :sly: Why don't you flash stock GB through smart flash?

I have right now official's GB Rom in my phone.
I have run B2C with Recovery & Emergency mode, so I have 2.3.4 GB installed, but my phone keeps on bootlooping...
Do not know what to do! :S
Are you using the touch version of Clockworkmod recovery? I have a case before always got bootloop and it takes an hour to boot my phone because of the touch version of CWM recovery.
Try smartflashtool with patched v20 (root and cwm injected)

I have done what your said:
1. Download V20G_00.kdz
2. Used LG-P970 ROM COVERTER 2.1 to get '.fls' and .'bin' files
3. Used B_SmartFlashTool_Extern to flash those files. I have removed battery, SIM & SD cards from the phone. I have connected to my PC with V+ and got the SW UPGRADE text. Run SmartFlash and get this log:

I cannot see anything wrong in there.......
Now I have my phone in LG screen with softkeys blinking but nothing else...
Any suggestions? thx a lot!
Hmmm... Reinstall your phone drivers on the pc, and try with other USB ports...
And sometimes, the first boot after the flash takes a while... Wait for upto 15mins,if it still doesn't complete the boot, we'll have to think of something else...

It also happened to me after flashing. It takes an hour to boot. What i did is i removed the battery and leave the phone. After 2-3 hrs i tried to turn it on and then it boot. The next time i go into recovery the bug has gone. I can easily reboot my phone now. I made an experiment and use again the touch version of cwm and the bug came back.

How about trying a different version, plus injecting CWM? Then phone reboots directly into CWM, make factory reset, wipe dalvic, flash superuser.zip, reboot and have fun ^^:victory:

something's wrong with the rom files I think... Try flashing the patched stock GB rom, which has cwm touch in it... You'll boot into recovery right after the flash... Later just flash a cwm button version and hopefully that should solve your problem
Ps: have a zip of SU in ur card... Flash it soon as ur in recovery to avoid hassles

Yes you can! Except the korean version! Try V20F singapore some people say it has good battery life, or the latest version V20S Spain.
But custom ROM's is the best like Zeus, Noa, Supressed, CM7 and more. After solving your problem in bootloop you can try those custom rom. Step by step you can learn it. Just read some guide and i will tell you this! You will enjoy it promise!

Hey guys,
So I was in the process of doing a battery test on the v10E ROM as LG had prompted me but as with my last 2x handset, it simply got stuck or hung while flashing the new firmware as it had a problem with communicating with my PC. I seriously think something's wrong with their update tool. Now, I can boot into CWM, can I restore my system back?
I have tried wiping data/factory reset, as well as wipe cache partition, then restoring a backup as well as installing the update.zp file (CM nightly#149) and still it would boot up to the S/W upgrade screen. Is there anything I can do via CWM or do I have to use smartflash?
Guess you already have tried but remove the battery and let it be with out it for 10 sec.
Try smartflash, nvflash.
Never had that problem my self so far. Just mentioned my way to try and fix it.

Yeah I have actually. I'm going to use smartflash to restore my original ROM and baseband. By the way, when you upgrade using the LG tool, does it hang on you? It hung on my v10d firmware.

Never happened to me, but I've heard of it, and they usually used a USB-hub or had flaky front-panel connectors (or overclocked PCs, FSB also affects USB-controllers.) Connect USB directly to the motherboard.
(I've used the LG update tool quite a lot, never had any problems with it, but then again I always smartflash back to stock before updating anything.)
Crap, I'm getting various timeout errors on Smartflash. What do I do?

That's normal. Just close the window, wait a few seconds until the main windows lists a com-port and driver (under "communication setup") and press start again. May have to try a few times before it'll work.

No idea, sorry.
I heard it was because of inconsistent drivers by LG.
*Beats chest and begins battlecry
Finally found the combination which makes the LG updater tool work with the driver file . I'm now on v10e to do my testing.
i'm using su660. I used cm9 cook rom, but I see it no stability, so I had to reflash stock rom. And from this time, i have some problems: baseband unknown, battery 999%,wifi error. I try to flash by smart flash, but just flash success file .bin, file .fls always says " error". I have tried on multiple computers,win7,xp sp3 but the same error occurred:
Trying to communicate with IFX modem, and then - timeout error.
I tried with nvflash but that situation still exists.
What can I do to fix it?

can't solve no baseband issue no matter what rom i install !!! can anybody advise what can i do?
Yea, i might be having the same trouble, and i'm a kind of noob on this area... I tried installing CM10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964240 when my phone was CM7, and now it looks like this when i boot it: http://i50.tinypic.com/2vw73ev.jpg (those are 2 LG logos). Is there any step-by-step guide for this, i'm kind of a noob.
Edit: oh yea, so i tried some stuff (tbh i have no idea what i'm doing) and now the screen says "S/W Upgrade - Please wait while upgrading". I don't know if it's stuck there, for the moment i'm just waiting to see what happens.
Edit2: So i am able to get into ClockworkMod recovery by pressing Power and Volume down. Then i tried to make a restore, but it said "MD5 Mismatch"
@Jeppe S
i solved phone boot issue with nvflash and 2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash.zip, but this does not help with unknown baseband problem
even tried all rils with GetRIL but no luck, it advised ril 1035.21_20110725 that i cant find till now, all download links are non valid
so how is it going? any luck? i am still without baseband.

Help, my baseband is shown as Unknown Baseband?
You have a wrong RIL installed. For LG Stock GB ROMs you need to install a RIL designed for GB and for CM and Froyo ROMs use a RIL designed for Froyo or the SU660.
Please refer to the question "What RIL should I use? Should I install a matching RIL?" for more information.

with smartflash i am not able to flash any basbend (fls) but can flash rom without any problem (bin)
so is there any other way to flash baseband then fls? i tried on 2 pc and 1 laptop, used all usb ports, no luck
can it be hardware failure ?

Help, my baseband is shown as Unknown Baseband?
You have a wrong RIL installed. For LG Stock GB ROMs you need to install a RIL designed for GB and for CM and Froyo ROMs use a RIL designed for Froyo or the SU660.
Please refer to the question "What RIL should I use? Should I install a matching RIL?" for more information.

Hi,
I tried everything but i have problem with upgrade to official 30a. Till now, I used 28e harsh & tonyp, and first i try to upgrade with nvflash and i did it with out any problems, but my WiFI didn't work after it. Then i tried with smartflash and it always show me error like this:
00:41.8 Sec :Set FLASH address
02:55.6 Sec :Code Download success
02:55.6 Sec :Num of partitions are 7
03:05.6 Sec :Timeout error is occured
03:05.6 Sec :error!
Sometimes it happened during that slow loading, but most of the time after loading and reading number of partitions. Now, when i go to phone info, it doesn't show me basebend, i don't have network, because my SIM is not recognized. I tried again with nvlash but problems remain the same?
What to do?

It happened to me as well, so what I did was to change the USB cable which, for an unkown reason, wouldn't work for USB connection anymore (though the phone seemed to be properly recognized in SmartFlash.
So try with another cable, this may help. Also make sure your computer makes the noise telling you the phone was properly connected in SmartFlash mode before starting the SmartFlash process.
Hope this helps!
I made it successful just with switching fls and bin during flashing. I put fls under bin and bin under fls. And it worked
problem is occured due to ics partitions..

Hi,
I don't know if this can help you, but for me work, base on my experience, (I suppose you will already have tried).
I get this error when i connect phone with smartflash opened, , then without disconnect phone, i close smartflash, and reopen smartflash, then i wait for COM, and then i can use smartflash, without timeout error, i've had to do so, both for the BB to ROM, because if i wasn't close smartflash one time (after connect phone), i get timeout error.
I've flashed independent files, first the BB, then i disconnected the phone from the PC, I waited about 10 seconds, and then reconnected in SmartFlash mode, for flash the ROM.
Latetly, i hadn't problems in nvflash mode for the CW.
Edit: seems that some people, at least here in Spain, is having problems if the SmartFlash run without the battery, according to the comments, it seems that they have had to do with the battery installed. And besides, they talk about can cause problems some USB ports
good luck guy.
Thanks!!!!
Hey guys ......if someone could help me with a good solution on fixing the flashing error on lg optimus black-KU5900
At first no imei ,no baseband and there is always a solution to that..... i flashed in the V30I_00 korean version (Olley) stock rom and whoo  i had a working phone , happy enough and rooted it and after installed CWM using rom manager -Got the LG security error , that was nothing to worry about cause i have the smart flash tool.
Flashed it again but this time ...i flashed the V30I_ cp.fls with the LGP970AT-00-V10a-EEU-XXX-MAY-09-2011+0_AP.bin ....worked perfectly and since it gave me hard time and headache how to flash into recovery without getting a security error....this worked , i flashed CM 10.1 into this KU5900 ....omg phone is perfect  , then after one day,,base band gone and IMEI.....
---> same thing like before , flashed original rom V30I_00
but i started getting outputs like these
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
04:31.3 Sec SI RAM writing start
04:31.3 Sec :Trying to communicate with IFX modem
04:36.3 Sec :Confirm IFX communication
04:36.3 Sec SI RAM writing end
04:36.3 Sec :Start PSI RAM
04:36.3 Sec :EBL writing start
04:56.4 Sec :Timeout error is occured
04:56.4 Sec :Start EBL error!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i used to get these errors during flashing and didnt worry cause i repeated the same thing like twice and it worked ,
But now its like that , no chances of flashing in the KU5900_CP.fls but can flash the KU5900_AP.bin in phone.
- is there any other way i can flash this cp.fls in phone?
- can some one help me with how to flash a full kdz file in an lg phone offline
- can this be solved (just curios)?
