Just got a Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300 with the baseband version number of P7300XXKJ6.
with the stock HC FW, i found that the mobile signal reception is very weak, the mark H/H+/3G randomly appears and disappears in the signal bar icon. And loading page in default browse is mostly timed out.
After I updated to CM10 Preview, the issue is still there.
Now, i want to try other baseband version to fix the problem, so please show me some baseband version suitable for my Tab p7300.
Many thanks.

Up until a few days ago my phone was working perfectly then one day the 3g/H icon disappeared completely and I couldn't use the internet.
They eventually came back, but every time I tried to use the internet browser when the '3G' icon was present, the up arrow, which I assume is for the upload, would flash but not the down arrow and the website wouldn't load.
However, in areas where the 'H' icon was there instead of '3G', websites loaded fast and both up and down arrows flashed.
I am using a Rogers Captivate and the problem first happened when I was using Darky's rom. I restored to stock and then flashed it to Perception today and the problem still persists. I can't tell if this is a problem with stock 2.1 flashed with Odin as the AT&T stock only shows '3G', even if HSDPA is being used.

Try changing your MODEM...
I just flashed the modem to the Telus TLJL3 found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869628
and I'm still having the same problem. When trying to go to any webpage, only the up arrow on the 3G icon would flash and the page wouldn't load until the H icon appeared and had both arrows flashing.

Just tried this. Internet doesn't work at all when it's just 3G only. Only the upload arrow in the notification bar lights up and nothing loads.
I have the same issue. Do you fix it?
Like the title says, I am having problems with my data connection. Unless my phone shows full signal bars I have almost no connection to the internet (android web browser times out.) When I have full signal bars I get a nice and fast response.
I should also mention that, when the signal bars show less then half, people complain that my voice sounds "garbled" or "digitized".
I would not be surprised if the following had something to do with it; I am running the Bell i9000m on the Rogers network.
Should I be using a different modem? I recall reading somewhere that the JL2 modem also solved some sort of data corruption issue.
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband version: I9000UGJL2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #32
Build number: Darky's v9.2 Extreme Edition
Change your rom is my suggestion .
But first i would check the Bell posts on here see if its a fixed problem .

I have a problem with mobile signal on my nexus one. Sometimes it shows no signal but it gets some (one or two bars out of four) if I try to make a call. I can actually make a call in third attempt. Sometimes it show four bars and my number is unavailable.
If I try to change settings to 'use 2G only', it loses signal completely (with 'x' above signal bars) and I have to reboot or turn on airplane mode to get signal back.
Model: Nexus One not rooted
android version: 2.3.4

I changed my chip from GSM to 3G and having some problems with data connection. I know I have Internet when the bars and 3G icons turns green, but I don't have when they become gray... And I don't know why this happens... I installed the app Network Signal Info and when I saw the results I realized that it's a section saying... "Phone Type = GSM". Is this the problem? and how can I change it? Thanks in advice
Hi Guys.
I'm having mobile data issues with my N7000 on CM11. I'm not totally sure when it started, but I changed network providers and also re-flashed the phone from OMNI to CM and used a modified PIT file all over 2 days.
My problem is that I have mobile data when connected on 3G and H+, but when ever connected on just plain old H I have no data throughput at all. The phone thinks it does, but I can assure you I don't. Annoyingly most of the cells around where I live are H and not H+ so it leaves me pretty screwed.
I currently have 2014/08/31 nightly CM 11 4.4.4
Baseband N7000XLT3
Is this the right baseband for a N7000 in the UK on the network Three?
cheers guys.
Bump
Baseband number looks fine to me, I think that's general Europe.
I too have had that problem but only when I have the "3g" icon. I haven't ever been able to solve it.
I'm currently running a stock rooted kitkat note 3 as my daily driver for working at home. Recently I've noticed missing calls, calls not going through, and also text messages not going through despite having plenty of signal both on wifi and on cell. The s7 edge I have has none of these problems in the same place. Turning off wifi on my note magically fixes the issue and suddenly texts have no problem being sent again. Keeping wifi off isn't a viable solution though. I've also noticed that there is some type of handoff that is occuring between 4G LTE and 4G (as indicated by the notification bar). I'm seeing the icon periodically go back and forth between the 4G icon and the 4G lte icon. Signal strength on both looks ok too. I've flashed NC2 and OC1, as well as some other ROMs and the issue persists.
Anyone have some ideas for me to try? (i'm out of them on my end).
I highly recommend this ROM:
