The vibration on my ob stopped working (after being in very low temperature area..)
I'm going to send it to repair because it has warranty.
Will they replace the defective part or replace the entire phone?

Hello!
I have a LG Optimus Black , and the touch function of the screen is not working anymore but the display shows a normally image at startup and I don't know what can I do except flashing it's firmware.
Can you give me some options to repair the device? The screen isn't broken, when I taked up from the computer's table, doesn't react anymore ( and I found the battery discharged )
Thank you!
Even after a reboot(battery pull) it doesn't respond?
You should take it to a service center.

Maybe there is a problem with the ribbon cable connecting the digitizer to the mainboard. I once saw this on my former Galaxy Ace. Since this is very tiny I would also advise you to take it to repair center - I broke my Ace when I tried to fix it myself...
I had had this problem too and I took my phone to service center,
they replaced the screen.
It appeared on my phone without reason , it's really a strange problem.
My proximity sensor was not working on my note 3 so i took the device to local warranty center and they said it would not be covered since there was hairline scratch on the screen. So i got the glass replaced and called at&t warranty center (about proximity sensor issue) and they told me that they would send replacement phone and i would have to return the defective phone. Will i be charged for physical damage once they receive the phone? How thorough do they inspect? Anyone did the same before?
As long as its not wet, you will be okay. They will replace it with a Note 3 that works great.
I did the same thing.
HI guys,
I want to post on behalf of a friend who has a problem with his Xperia Z1. He originally bought it used with a broken display, he then changed it with success, the phone was working fine until it fell. At this point the display was still working but not the touchscreen, so he ordered a new assembly from the net (not genuine, like the first one which worked tho).
Upon receiving his new assembly, he immediately started the repair. However, when he turned on the phone, he only felt the vibration and nothing appeared on screen. No any light, he got a totally black display with no sign of life, while the phone was fully charged, and was recognized by Windows (he could even access his files on the memory).
He obviously thought that the seller tricked him and that the assembly was defective but when he tried with the old one (which had the display working but not the touchscreen), the same result showed up, no light, like the assembly wasn't plugged to the motherboard at all.
So far that's what I told him, check the connections to the motherboard, and make sure the flex ribbon is not damaged. He even bought a new ribbon and installed it, with no success.
He read that the problem can come from the display ribbon touching the chassis, thus making a short-circuit, but I doubt it. How if the display connector on the motherboard is broken? Is it fixable? Like buying a brand new connector and soldering it.
Thanks in advance for helping us
Try a hard reboot by Golding vol + and power until phone vibrates. Is the backlight working?

Thanks for reading this long problem
Sure, he tried the hard reboot thing, he even successfully flashed a stock ROM but nothing changed. I can only think of this as a hardware problem, but what part is defective?
The motherboard connector?
The ribbons on the chassis? But he changed to new ones already!
The LCD assembly? Same, the one he tried is a new one...
Still no one to solve the mystery?
I'd like to add that the phone turns off itself after approximately 30 minutes in idle state. That is, the explorer doesn't show the phone anymore and it has to be powered on again.
I know the best solution would be to buy a new motherboard or just forget about this broken phone, but it's a challenge to fix something that is apparently hopeless
Dropped my phone the other day, now the top 1/5 of the phone's screen does not respond to touch.
Did diagnostic test (*#*#3424#*#*) confirmed this.
I know I should probably run down to the service centre to get it fixed but my warranty's expired and they charge absurd rates.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
I bought a refurbished Z3 compact (worse decision I ever made). The first time I turned on the phone, it started vibrating instantly and kept on vibrating until the battery died. I flashed marshmallow ROM hoping that it would solve the vibrating issue but no luck. If I shake the phone, the vibration stops but after a few seconds it starts vibrating again.
I replaced the Flex cable with a new one that I bought from aliexpress.com but issue still persists. While I was replacing the Flex cable, I noticed small salt deposits on the flex cable connector on the motherboard. Another thing I noticed is that if I touch the spinner part of the vibrator with my finger, it starts spinning and if I touch it slightly again, it stops vibrating.
I thinking about buying a new motherboard but before I do that I have to be absolutely 100% sure that vibration is caused by a fault in the motherboard.
Any Suggestions?
