I played a bit with the great work of Ricardo and merged added all patches from the kernel.org linux-3.0.y branch to the cm-10 kernel. Works very good for me. If someone cares you can find it at https://github.com/TheMeier/lge-kernel-sniper-linux-stable and do whatever you want with it.
Can you show any screenshots, and kernel log that your merge is working right without any trouble?
Hmm, got your screenshots here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31961455&postcount=273
But I want to see kernel logs from your merge....
And?

QuickSilverCM - CyanogenMod 9
This ROM is now rebased to locerra's CM9 sources. I fixed Bluetooth, removed a few Apps and added Chrome and init.d as well as build.prop tweaks. It can be flashed directly over HC or other ROMs as it is bringing its own kernel along but a wipe is most likely needed if coming from another ROM.
What does not work
- Video Hardware Acceleration for some Video types [I fixed a lot of the codecs and ported over missing hardware ones from the Stock, but there are still a few left non-working. Please use BS Player or VPlayer. MxPlayer removed a lot of stuff in their newest release because of licensing issues and ATM it is for example not able to play DTS Audio (which breaks most of my mkv files). It also seems to have problems with mp3 encoded audio tracks. I use BS Player, because VPlayer crashes, but both play all files I threw at them just fine. For streaming BS Player is best, because it is the only one with really working LAN browse capabilities. With most of the new Version of those players you do not need to care about the Codec,]
- Front Camera Recording (Does not crash anymore, but does not work either, because something in the settings format changed, that needs to be fixed)
- Bluetooth A2DP [from reports seems still not fixed]
- Mass Storage over USB Adapter (working on it)
What works
- Everything else AFAIK
Installation
- Make a Nandroid
- Download QuickSilverCM and Gapps (Gapps here)
- Boot into recovery
- !!!WIPE!!!
- Install QuickSilverCM first
- then Gapps
- reboot
- Have fun with your bloatfree GTab

I dont want to sound negative or ungreatfull, but why release something when it's not fully functional. The items on the "not working" section seem to be important. If i where the developer, by the way i am not nor do i know code but IF I WERE,i would release it only when the major items are 100% working. I have flashed both original Samsung Galaxy S and original Galaxy Tab many times in the past, and have found that no custom rom is 100% fully functional. I appreciate the innovation but many times i have found it to be more of a pain than an improvement. I am running ICS and after this update i am looking forward to hopefully get JB for the Google Now function. Even if ICS source code is release and someone manages to cook something up with the already released JB source code there will always be something that does not work 100% no matter how hard one tries. I have come to the conclusion that only official firmwares are the way to go. Nevertheless good luck and keep up the good work. Once again not trying to be disrespectfull, that was not my intent. If i have disrespected anyone i appologize in advance but i believe i may not be the only one to think this way.

Because some of us actually like to tinker with this kind of stuff regardless of what does or doesn't work and which he clearly posted.
Every phone has CM9 threads and none of them are 100% functional as of yet.
Nice job on the release. :good:
Can i restore data from cwm after flashing this rom?
Sent from my GT-P6800 using XDA Premium HD app
WHy release a beta ? Well, because the community willl help make it final. Should the op really go through all scenario's himself?
That would take valueble time, otherwise well spent on other things. It's a community thing, you get it, or you don't
I really liked your previous quicksilver efforts, so I'll probably get this, but as an Android newbie, can someone answer a question for me. If I'm going to be running Apex Launcher anyway, what benefit does CM9 bring over a more minimal rom?

What did you do to fix this? Just use the stock kernel + modules? Neither of your links are working for me so I can't look at what you did.
- 3G
- Camera (front/back)

- Rotation
- Calls (But UI is broken ATM, so you are not able to hang up a call)
What does not work
- Bluetooth (working on it)
- Automatic Backlight dimming

Probably as simple as using /system/lib/hw/lights.exynos4.so from the stock rom. I haven't gotten around to fixing the opensource liblights for the PX boards.
- A few minor crashes in Settings -> Storage
- Mtp (also working on it)

Good luck with that, samsung implemented their own MTP driver in the kernel that they use, but you have to use the ASOP MTP driver to work with CM.

INTRODUCTION
Hey there!!Here I com with a new rom. In my opinion I got the key!! People spend their lifes arguing about what is better: GB..ICS..JB... Okay, Gb is quite smooth and stable. With ICS people has rised battery horizons, Jelly Bean, appart from Project Butter is famous for his clean, minimalist and smart interface. AOKP, CM... and other ROMS are known for their high customization, so... what to choose?
After thinking in a lot of things I have created a ROM where u cand find all that features. It is CM7.2 based, so it is gingerbread ande is highly customizable. It has a smoothness I had never seen in any GB/ICS ROM. Battery drain is quite quite good. I have stabilized it because people normally left this ROM because of the consumption. I have added ICS/JB appearance, since it is amazing. I have been thinking every aspect of the ROM: tweaks, apps, compatibility problems... and the result is amazing...

UNBELIEVABLE, its really here!!!!
Sorry 4 this post, but iam... iam... ...
Nice work. Somehow my home button doesnt work, but it worked in the keys test. Also my lockscreen doesnt show up, and always when the phone is done booting I get the following message: com.google.process.gapps has stopped. However for a beta this rom is amazing.
Thanks Zeubea, you're amazing !! :highfive:
@ Zeubea- do you think you will be able to fix the problems, and do you believe phosphere will ever work. Great work by the way.:good:
I gave it a quick try. looks promising.
After entering simunlock it started reboot loops. after shutdown en reboot everything seems to be bit more stable.
if you look at the easter egg beheind software version it is still jellybean?
Now back to 4.1.2. Keep it up. Looking forward to it, just because it can
hmm just saw that 4.2 is also Jelly Bean. hehe sorry

Amazing
How would you do this?
- Wifi (need to add ssid by hand)
Solved that
By the way do you know how I could fix the problem that my home button isnt working with this rom? And do you know why the lockscreen doesnt work?
Solved these problems through formating the /system and /data and reflashing the ROM
Thank you for the great ROM
by the way I found somethin g for the mulituser http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018146, dont know if it works though, but ill know soon enough
How do we format /system ? Wouldn't that require a superwipe script?
Edit: It was under the "Mounts and storage" in CWM. I feel dumb.
Good job Zeu, keep it up.
Swiping in the keyboard will make it crash. Unfortunatly, I swipe accidentally very often, so I'd recommend installing another keyboard... All of you should have a Swiftkey 3 "licensed edition" by now anyways, so install that.
ALPHA3 Dec 16 2012
- Bluetooth,
- Camera (no native camcording).
Nice Work. Do you believe you could add the 4.2 camera and the photosphere?

Camera 4.2 is already included. Photosphere no, IMHO.
Would just like to inform that trackball wake script does not work. Executed as root, rebooted and nope, nothing.
Just letting you know. Flashing A3 now, good job!
I only have the 4.1 camera, thats weird
Thanks!
This is great - thanks zeubea. I was actually looking into JB for my SGS2 - but found this, so thought I'd crank up the Legend and play. Looks promising. Only problem I've found so far is that web browsing is really slow, and the links on a page aren't clickable until the page completely finishes loading - which can mean quite a wait.
SzeZso extremly proud to present you:

Enjoy this ROM, I worked a lot on this, and it still needs many work, but I won't give it up, till I know the camera can be fixed too. And be very proud, because we are the first! We've made a Sense JB port before the highly supported Desire HD!
You may need to flash to boot.img manually:
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash boot boot.img

and Now I have 2 Htc One
so @szezso, does this mean that we have an ION Kernel for our device.?
will we have Fully At Limit of Performance CM10.2 (a.k.a. JB 4.3) ROM on our device.?
p.s. your a fu#king GENIUS...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
..
This is amazing for such an old device. Not only did you bring a very nice 4.2.2 cm rom, but this is amazing!
Guys what a fantastic breakthrough this is, I, on a personal level, know exactly how many countless hours szezso has put into this amazing rom. Now all of us have to do something for him in return, if you guys on your laptop or pc or browser mode could all click the 'Tip Us' button near the top right of the page, it will send this thread to Xda News, everyone let's make this rom showcased to all on XDA by clicking Tip Us! Woot

The ION kernel is still very much a WIP as stated in title. A lot of things are still broken but I'm sure Szeszo will work out the kinks.
The Second question I didn't really quite understand but I assume you asked will we have any limits in relation to performance on future Jellybean builds? And the answer to that is probably yes. I think the thing limiting us is the actual hardware itself, sadly :/

is there any way to flash boot.img without the pc? any app ?

Nope. In order to fastboot the boot.img, you are required to run the command from ADB on your computer. Also while in bootloader mode, the only things you can access are the options that are visible in the bootloader ie. recovery, fastboot, blah blah blah
Correct me if I'm wrong though.
