Cannot power on the Tab! HELP! - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

Hi,
Yesterday I customized systemUi and framework-res on the tab and after a reboot it went into a boot loop. I restarted it via holdng PWR button and volume dn key. Unfortunately that thing won't power on again. It is charging now but nothing showed up. I've experienced this before but that can be fixed by pressing the button several time but now, no. I suspect it is a coma brick, so I will let it charge for a few hours then try again. Can anyone please help? I know reading this thread is boring, but if you can help please do it. Running the battery-problem official ICS update.

Had this issue when i cleaned my tab and water came into the 30 pin slot (yes im an idiot)
Had to open the Tab and disconnect the battery. After connecting it again, the tab restartet as nothing happenend.
If your Tab wont start.. you should try this.
Warranty is lost if you open the tab but since you flashed a rom, warranty is already lost

Help pls: My fone doesnt open after firmware upgrade

Pls can anyone help me im sooooo desperate. i just upgraded my fone via kies but after upgrade my fone is now blank, i cant use it anymore. pls hell. did i brick my fone??? can i bring it to life again??
You should try to reinstall the stock firmware. First see if you can get into download mode. Two ways, while your phone is off, hold down volume, the home button, and power button together till you get a yellow sign that has a digging android. If that don't work, other way is to take battery out, hold down volume, home button, and power together and reinsert the battery. Once you get to that stage, use Odin to reinstall your firmware.

shud all my apps be restored?? or back to square 1?
Well seeing as though you updated via kies, all your apps are deleted. I would just start fresh and back to stock. After that I would install a custom rom from the forums here, in my opinion, these rom makers do a great job making Roms that will make your phone be a phone and more

Two choices return phone to Samsung saying broke under Kies update .
Or use recovery jig and flash stock firmware this is an unofficial method that will invalidate your warranty .

Sorry went to bed, just woke up. Anyways download the stock firmware for your phone. Make sure you download the right one. Meaning if you have the i9000M, download i9000M, or if you have i9000T, download i9000T. If you check behind your battery you'll.find your model. I don't think it really matters, I mean your just gonna flash another rom once your phone is back to life for sure. ;-)

So you've opened ezodin, entered the 3 files into the right sections(PDA,PHONE and CSC) and entered the pit file in the Ezbase post, then put your phone into DL mode and plug in. Then flash. The repartition should remove the lagfix. Give it another go..

If nothing comes to screen your phone is totally dead. You must send it to samsung unless you have Riffbox or other JTAG device.

[Q] Screen stays black

Hey Guys,
My Note won't start or do anything, it's completely dead, screen stays black. I checked the battery: it's fully loaded.
Heimdall, Odin, Kies, Windows cannot detect the device. I took the SIM-Card and Battery out and gave it back in, nothing.
Of course I tried holding all the buttons and combinations (VolUp/Down+Home+Power) nothing. No recovery or download mode. Like dead.
It was rooted so I lost the samsung warranty.
I have had the device for a month now it worked perfectly so far.
Is there anything else you would try to restart it?

Maybe a JIG will help you starting your phone ? Have you tried it ?
If you do not have the plug JIG, try this: hold (simultaneously) the Vol-,Home, Power for 20 seconds. Release the buttons and press Vol +. Check if the PC Odin sees your phone.

Didn't help, but thx for the advice.
I'm not familiar with a JIG plug though, what's that and where to get that?
What I did:
After agreeing to install some auto-update on Samsung's ICS my sim-unlock was gone.
So I tried to root it again and copied CWM and CWM-SuperSU-v0.87 on my SD, rebooted into recovery mode, and while installing the superuser the screen went blank. Maybe it's been a faulty download or an interruption in the power supply. Battery was 90% charged though.

[Q] Galaxy Pop/Mini half hard bricked (can go into a strange mode) Experts Neede

Hi everyone!
Here is the entire list of things I had done before I bricked it. Can some expert please read through and help me? I really need help!!
So as you can read from the title, this phone, the Galaxy Pop/Mini is bricked. It does not turn on at all, even if I press the power key only or the Power+home+vol.down. Needless to say, I have no download mode . The problem started after I flashed the PACman ROM, which didn't turn out that good, so I re-flashed the original firmware using ODIN. It said PASS, but then when it rebooted, the phone got a boot loop. It kept on rebooting again and again. As I have an Xperia Neo V as my primary device, this issue usually meant a wrong kernel to me. So I downloaded "Galpop_kernel_build2" and now when I press the power button or any of the combinations, the screen does not light up. There is no response.
So I tried the Heimdall One Click Unbrick, and it shows me this error:
Is Your Phone Plugged In?
Is It In Download/Softbrick Mode?
If the phone is Plugged In and Everything Is Fine,
Visit the Resolution Center in order to resolve the issue.
So I clicked on the button, it asked me to install 3 things, which I did, no luck. So I was finally going to give up, when I accidently pressed the volume up+ Power+ Home keys. Nothing happened on the screen, but when I connected it to my PC, Windows started installing some drivers! It went well, and even ODIN detected the phone (Yes, there was the Yellow Box), so I quickly tried to flash the original firmware, but it got stuck on "setup connection...". I read somewhere that this was a driver issue so I tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers, no luck.
So now, the phone does not turn on, but goes into this strange mode where it gets detected by ODIN, but cannot be flashed. I'm doomed! Can someone PLEASE HELP!!???

I did, I am on a different PC right now, installed all drivers etc. But I just realized... I think I might have flashed the Pop Plus kernel...
Since it is ultimately the low level OS, maybe that is preventing it from starting? Is there a way to forcefully flash a different kernel? :'(
Also, the strange mode that it used to go into is gone now.. I cannot make the PC recognize the phone at all now, and the phone does not power up. So I'm kinda in a doomed position right now..:crying:
The mistake was the kernel flashing. If something is not booiting you need to wipe data/cache. This works with stock ROM too.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (SGH-i957) Soft Bricked...

I am looking for some serious help, I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G LTE (SGH-i957) through the instructions that I found on this site by first installing Clockworkmode Recovery and then installing Jelly Bean 4.1.1 using Odin. Everything seemed to work fine with this, but then I decided to go one step further and load a over clocking kernel via Odin to increase my Processing speed. This process went fine through Odin and then after the auto reboot it all fell apart... the tablet will now only periodically display the first and second samsung logos and then just go blank or will display the battery icon with power off and plugged into the PC. Either way I have been unable to access the Boot screen or the Download screen...
IS THERE A FIX TO THIS? or am I just finished?
I have tried the "One Click Unbrick" program with no results and Odin intermittently recognizes the device is connected to the PC as the Tablet cycles through what appears to be an 1 second long boot up attempt.
Looking for someones brilliant idea haha...
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
Wrong section, but here goes. I'm no expert but Samsung devices are notoriously hard to eff up beyond fixing.
Can you get back into your recovery? I would do that, do all your normal wipes and reinstall a rom with its stock kernel.
If that doesn't work well then, I'd say Odin back to stock. If it's just a soft brick fixing it shouldn't be a problem.
Of course someone else who knows what they are doing could chime in here lol.

I would love to do exactly what your suggesting but I am so far unable to access the download mode using the pwr and vol keys as normal... also where can I get a stock kernel as I was looking for one for hours yesterday with no luck? Do you have any suggestions on how to re-access the download mode in my current situation. Thank you for you suggestions thus far!
If you have a complete TWRP backup from before you flashed the OC kernel, just reboot into recovery and restore boot. That'll replace the HC kernel with what you were running before. That'll save you the effort of going through the entire process again to get back to JB.

Thank you for your response, so far Odin only picks up the device for a second before it disappears again and keeps repeating the cycle over and over agian. It is as if the Tablet keeps attempting a reboot cycle but fails to initialize the booting process? I don't know if I am making any sense to all of you that are much smarter than I at the stuff.
I am trying to time the start of Odin to the point that when it connects to the device that it is also recognizing the device at the same time... Kinda poking in the dark here as I am out of solutions...
The tablet attempts a reboot every 45 SECS and it recognized for only 3 SECS... Thoughts??
You need to get it to stop rebooting and into download or recovery mode. Try every button combo possible. If you hold power down for ten seconds it should shut off

Hold down the volume button near the power button as it boots to get into download mode... the other volume button will take you to recovery.

I have tried every key combination possible with no results the only thing the tablet does is do a quick single vibrate just like it does when you power it on and it boots up just without the actual booting process... and when the tablet is plugged into the PC it displays the battery symbol with the star bright icon over it like its thinking about charging but to my knowledge does nothing beyond that as far as charging is concerned. But it does do the single vibrate once every 45 secs as if it was booting up and is recognized on the PC through Odin for only 3 secs... not sure where to go from here now??
Hold the volume buttons down don't just press them. Also try button combos but instead of hitting power plug your charger in and out to get it to reboot.

Humm.. Didn't write them down. Goggled "samsung 10.1 tab" and found the set I used. Same three buttons but different ways to press. Won't hurt to try because all that is left in this case is a $50 jtag job and two weeks.

Doesn't sound good. Plug it in and push and hold the power button for 15 seconds. But I think it died on you.

Does Odin recognize your device? I would try to flash the factory firmware with odin. You can get it at sammobile.com for the i957

If Odin doesn't recognize it and it doesn't turn on it's dead.
