The device is currently running LG firmware and it's not rooted, but suddendly it just stopped vibrating whenever receives messages or calls. However, in the defintions it is settled to vibrate but it just doesn't. Any clue why?
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry, just realised i was in the wrong section

Test if your device still vibrates in the secret/hidden menu
I had this once on zeus rom
Try rooting and flashing another rom
Or factory reset

Hi, I am new here
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini, updated to Gingerbread 2.3.5 from Froyo and rooted successfully using universal gingerbread v19.
Sometimes, when making a call to any number, after touching the large green button, the screen fades to black and the phone seems to hang, but it makes the call and I can hear it successfully, but I cannot interact with the phone anymore, I tried pressing all buttons, even when the call finishes, and I have to force reboot by long pressing the power button. I don't know if this has something to do with the rooting (maybe I will try to unroot and see if this persist)
Does anyone know why?
Many thanks
Try to update it to 2.3.6 and lets see if it still persist

Finally it was a stupid mistake from my end. The silicon cover was half covering the proximity sensor and it was activating it constantly sometimes, so the phone would "hang" (the screen turns off and it becomes non-responsible when making or receiving calls), I didn't know the proximity sensor was this
Anyway I'll try to update to 2.3.6 but I've read the phone would need to be unlocked from carrier (I do not have another SIM card right now, but I have the unlock code) or it would brick when installing the new ROM, is that true? Because I cannot find official (Samsung) updates to 2.3.6 at least from Kies...

first thing if it is booting normal and running just continues vibrate take care maybe it is hardware so install triangle away rest the counter go cwm recovery wipe everything then download mode flash stock rom that should solve the problem or remove battery and sim and sd for the next day then try if not do those steps and go to the Samsung warranty center

Did you ever make a nandroid backup (before this problem was happening)? You could try restoring to that. Otherwise, I hate to say it, but it might just be a hardware problem... I haven't done much with my mini 2 yet when it comes to flashing etc., but judging from my experience, there shouldn't ever be a reason for it to vibrate when it's in recovery mode. I might be wrong, but I don't think the drivers for the vibration motor are even loaded in recovery - so something very odd would have to happen software-wise - assuming that the drivers are not being loaded in recovery - for that to happen. If you still have a warranty on your device, I would restore everything to stock, reset the binary counter (with triangleaway or whatever it's called - I'm not exactly sure how it works, all I know is that it does work), and return it for warranty service. If the warranty is expired, then you could try to take the phone apart (don't blame me if something goes wrong, though) and see if there's anything obvious that might be causing problems. Other than that, I don't really know what else to say...
I restored the best backup i had , now it seems ok , if i don't push the power button and i close the screen with a application there are no problems , i removed the cover i take out the vibration and still doesn't work , now works fine if i don't touch the power button , a few days ago i couldn't enter into cwm or download mode , when i entered the phone was restarted and i couldn't do anything , now i have stock rom , removed bloatware , no oc and works fine and i have a application to turn off the screen
ok guys, i have a question for you. keep in mind that im new to the phone world lol. ok so a bout a month ago i wanted to unroot my phone but for some reason the tar files on sammobile wasnt working right. so i came on here and downloaded what i believed to be the file that i needed to go back to stock. after i used odin and the phone rebooted it automatically notified me that i had a update. after i accepted the update and it rebooted, it again notified me that i have yet another update. so after this happened i noticed that my phone was updated to 4.4.4 kitkat which would be great exept for the fact that it keeps freezing and when i am on wifi i have a problem getting phone calls aswell as text messages. also when i disconnect from wifi i have to restart the phone to get any data back. is there anything that i can do? is it possible to go back to 4.3 or even 4.2.2? any help would be very much appreciated.
Take a screenshot of your "about device" section so we know what build you're on please!

Well, that's a T-Mobile phone and you're in an AT&T forum so...
Hi, yesterday i unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone by sending patched boot image from magsik. All worked fine untill after about 15minutes my wifi turned off, when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't work. When trying to turn on hotspot it instantly turns off and says error. My phone speakers are not working, same when i plug in headphones.
I was doing research but found nothing helpfull. I was thinking about reinstalling ROM with xiaomi tool v2 but i don't know if it wont get my phone bricked.
Any ideas are welcome! Thanks in advance.
Hi, I flashed stock firmware and everything seems to work just fine.
(I don't know how to close/delete thread so it will stay here)
