Hi. Does anybody know how I can get rid of the "android is upgrading" every time I reboot? I started getting it after I flashed a 15 toggle mod found in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1864510 on my phone. I'm on a rooted stock LRT. I already deleted systemui.odex

have you tried, fix permission, wipe cache partition and dalvik cache in CWMR already?

Yup. I did this already. It's still giving me the "android is upgrading" when I boot up.

Maybe there's unused or clashed .odex file in the /system/app folder, like systemui.odex. Delete that and reboot.

the quickpanelsettings.apk... check if it has the correct permisssion..
i.e rw-r--r--

Solved the issue by deleting a bunch of odex files linked to the apk files used by this mod.

If you are using TB, try uninstalling n checking for this message on reboot. It could be because of TB and if so uninstall/install should solve it.

the 15 toggles mod only requires 3 files to be copied
QuickPanelSettings.apk - no odex
SystemUI.apk - Odex need to be deleted
lidroid-res.apk /criskelo-res.apk - no odex
just make sure that permission for all three files are set to rw-r--r--

Like that title says is anyone having issues with replacing system apps? I've tried replacing systemui via root explorer and all i get is forced closes. My next step would be to adb but for 5 plus files it seems excessive.

The ROM isn't zipaligned, so changing any system files will not work. We will have to wait for zipaligned roms

Download link is broken but here's another one:

what exactley does it do?
if you have your battery drained, it might be caused by your SD card...i heard sandisk cards make a lot of trouble :/
It's nothing, the dev thought it was something it's not. And this phone probably already have this installed anyway.
Edit: I'm not sure, but I have a faint memory that it is game-profile related. Something the likes of it maybe clocks down the cpu if your running a simple game and maybe set the min freq higher on cpu-intensive games, to minimize lag.
Installed it as an App for the P880 a few days ago - still 100% battery after 3.5h standby, never had this before
Installed it , feels nothing different .

I think its already installed from factory.
I saw the backup file of that (v1.0) in the "Root Uninstaller" files.

APK doesn't work while it is in system/bin, it should be in system/app.
The same was on one x until HTC fix it.
So you have to move NvCPLSvc.apk from system/bin to system/app or just install update.

Not apply it by "install", you need to apply this fix by:
1. Ensure you are a SU enabled
2. Ensure you mount system mount point with READ WRITE permission
3. copy it to /system/app/
4. And delete all cache files in /data/dal-vikcache/
5. Reboot

Hey guys!
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, and figured out it would be cool to change the theme.
I was going to make a S4 statusbar, so I changed the SystemUI, and deleted the .ODEX or something..
Something got fu... up, and now I am sitting here with no statusbar, when someone calls it doesn't show(just vibrates), my wallpaper is black aswell, and can't be changed.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
I don't have my original SystemUI..
Restore your nandroid backup if you have one or ask someone to upload their systemui.apk and .odex file and push them to your system/apps
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Yea, Ive tried different SystemUI files from other mods, but I guess I need that .ODEX file..
Thanks for the answer
If anyone got that file, please post it here <3

You have got a deodexed rom now it matter if you change the permissions or not.. Anyone out there using any rom such as rocket, ultimate, etc please share the systemui.apk from your system/apps..! Or frugis do it yourself by unzipping the rom zip you have flashed to get jb rom and simply copy system/apps/systemui.apk to your phone

Good karma
I deleted my Android 4.0.4 and installed JellyBean 4.1.2. That fixed the problem
any chance of porting a darker holo version of messaging for stock jb? is there such a possibility without getting the whole rom? if yes, how?

ok its showing this
owner - read , write, execute (no ticks)
group - read, write, execute (all three ticks)
others - read, write, execute (read and execute only ticked)
i tried ticking all the empty ones it gives an error that changing permissions wasn't successful ... some system apps don't allow permission changes

I guess you are flashing a 4.2.2 MMS.apk on a 4.1.1 rom so it's not going to work.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637121
It's for 4.0.4 but should work on 4.1.1, if it not work then restore the original MMS.apk you can get it from one of the 4.1.1 roms on the forum.
