Hi EveryBody,
Since i made the official ICS upgrade given by HTC, my phone began to shutdown when i was in bad reception zone..
So i made some things to attempt to avoid this problem :
- Hard Reset of the phone (the problem disapear few days and come back)
- S-OFF, rooting and installing 3Musketeer Total NoSense ROM (the problem disapear few days and come back)
Someone told me to downgrade the radio of the phone only, but i cannot find any files and commands to do that. All RUU i can find are complete roms.
Does somebody can help me ?
Thanks a lot !
Here are my informations :
Android : 4.0.3 (i'd like to stay on ICS...)
Radio : 20.70.30.0832U_3831.16.00.16_M
Kernel : 3.0.16 [email protected] #7
Build : Vertigo's Total Senseless v4.1.1
Nobody ?
Here is what you can do:
1.Install a GB RUU.
2.Root it.
3.Download XL Multi Tool from my signature.
4.Flash ICS S-OFF Hboot. (via tool)
5.Flash Recovery for ICS via Fastboot (via tool)
6.Install any custom ROM you want.
Note that this method was not tested, it is theory, so you can give it a try if you want, if not keep searching around
to downgrade radio you only need S-OFF.
Make S-OFF
Flash radio. (Extracted from RUU)
Look to my guide. Link in signatue.
Lexmazter - if you have stock 1.28 hboot you can't flash any thing older than this hboot. You will get error. Only S-Offing helping.

I know you can't flash something older, thats why i said to go to GB first and then upgrade the Hboot only, in other words, what i said there is to go back to older RUU and after that upgrade everything manually - Hboot, Recovery and after that the ROM
Thanks a lot guys, i'll test ASAP and tell you if it worked !

Hi, I cant get this radio to flash on my mates Inc S (it worked fine on mine). He has s-off (xtc clip method), latest recover, root etc, but when I flash using PG32IMG hboot method I get 'Incorrect model ID' or something like that. Also tried same thing using a goldcard. Also tried fastboot method as per post 1 ARHD1.1.0 thread. No success
Any ideas please ?

If this is a Candanian IncS, then the model id in the PG32IMG.Zip file needs to be changed.

Actually its a UK device, but only about a week or so out of the shop, unlike mine which is a few months old and an older hboot version . The engineering hboot in the link you mentioned may be the answer, thanks for the pointer.
Cheers
If you use alpharevx for S-OFF maybe this post can help you installing new radio :

thanks, the link is also to ENG hboot, I think this will be the answer, will try it and post back outcome.
Thanks all for the guidance.
find out one method in ARHD 1.1.0,dload the radio file, open and read it.
Guys be careful when flashing radios, because i flashed 6.03.03 from gu1dry's thread and then tried to run a lower version ruu and broke the software on the phone. Now i need to use xtc clip to revive.
post by ieftm
"gu1dry, could you please adjust your RUU zips to include a lower mainversion?
preferably something really low like 1.00.0000.0.
Some of these zips have:
mainver: 2.21.1400.8
Which might spell trouble for people that attempt at flashing a RUU afterwards (as they're left with a broken RUU and a high mainversion).
Thanks"
Just make sure you ask all q's before playing with stuff like this it will avoid what i am facing. Just want to help
neo-X, pitty your on the other side of the world, you could have borrowed mine. Thanks for the warning though, I think I will re flash the new radio using the link from post 1 of ARHD to be safe.
Resolved my mates problem by flashing ENG hboot, then the new radio flashed ok. I don't understand why it was necessary to do this ENG hboot thing, since I did not have this problem with my own inc s. Must be something to do with latest stock hboot I guess. One other word of warning, after installing the ENG hboot his phone would not boot past the first HTC boot screen, but was able to go into custom recovery, wipe then flash ARHD rom, then booted up all OK.
Thanks gudge...luckily i got it working, just needed to flash the new higher version ruu that was just released

After having a HTC Buzz for only a few days now and spending most of that time trying to downgrade HBOOT from 1.01.0002 to 1.01.0001 without success, I thought I would share this very easy way of going about it.
I followed [GUIDE] Downgrade to HTC Froyo WWE for AlphaRevX (HBOOT 1.01.0001) without success. After reading through the posts a lot of people did it hassle free but for others they could not accomplish this at all, like myself. With this procedure Step1 was successful, Goldcard was created successfully but for me Step2 just closed without actually doing anything.
I achieved downgrade from 1.01.0002 to 1.01.0001 by simply installing a Ship ROM available on 3xeno thread [RUU] HTC Wildfire Shipped / Stock ROMs Collection [Complete]. The ROM is a WWE Froyo ROM and this will automatically downgrade HBOOT for you to 1.01.0001 just by simple having your phone plugged into the data cable, clicking the .exe and following the popup Wizard. The Ship ROM can be downloaded from Multiupload or Rapishare. After flashing this ROM I am now on 1.01.0001 and I successfully achieved S-OFF, flashed a custom Recovery and Rooted my phone by following the Revolutionary Method. I can now flash any Custom ROM, zip update or simply flash a percentage battery icon in the original Buzz ROM.
Step1 from "[GUIDE] Downgrade to HTC Froyo WWE for AlphaRevX (HBOOT 1.01.0001)" (Link above) was successfully installed before the Ship ROM was Flashed so maybe others can try Flashing the Sip ROM without Step1 installed and let me know.
I hope this helps others to get HBOOT to 1.01.0001.
If this helped then please hit the Thanks button.

he must first Downgrade HBOOT from 1.01.0002 to 1.01.0001 to use revolutionary
revolutionary work only with HBOOT 1.01.0001 to S-OFF
I think you will still have to perform step 1 successfully. Afaik, directly flashing the ruu will not downgrade the 0002 hboot to 0001.

I flashed the ROM above and it did indeed downgrade the HBOOT from 1.01.0002 to 1.01.0001. The memory card had a full format so no Goldcard present.

Yes, Step1 was flashed successfully, Goldcard successful but Step2 didnt do anything at all. I have edited Post 1 to show this.
It worked! ROM & HBoot got downgraded, and we managed to get S-Off with my friend using THIS guide Thank you very much for bringing this on! Cheers!

Glad it worked. Did you try using [GUIDE] Downgrade to HTC Froyo WWE for AlphaRevX (HBOOT 1.01.0001) and if so did you successfully run Step1. I did but not sure if it works without running Step1 first.
yes the rom will downgrade to 1.01.001,I checked, thanks .............................

I upgraded my phone using the leaked ICS build that hit a little bit before the final one was released. I would like to get my phone updated to the official ICS build. I was looking through GSLEON's thread in the dev forum and he mentions:

The absolute safest way to update to ICS is to relock your device & return it to as close to stock as you can get it. Relocked you can flash the leaked GB AT&T rom in football's thread.

Make sure that if you have a custom recovery that is is updated & double check that it is. Write the version numbers down to confirm, both before & after.
There was an early recovery that could not (CANNOT) be overwritten without flashing a modified PH39IMG file first, then flashing stock or new modified recovery.
If you update with your device with that original recovery, you may be very sorry.

I'm pretty sure this applies to me, here's my information:
Code:
Locked
Holiday PVT Ship S-On RL
Hboot-1.85.0024
MICROP-0360
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.226.00.0202
eMMC-boot

My problem with this is two-fold:
1. I'm not sure where to get the specially modified ph39img
2. I'm really nervous because I like my phone a lot!
Any help you can offer would be really appreciated!
Here's a screenshot of my homescreen because I accidentally took one while getting it out of the case!

Well firstly the RUU your referring to is for official gingerbread. You dont need to flash the modified file unless you have the old recovery so thats un needed. Use this official RUU link http://dl3.htc.com/application/htc_vivid_att_RUU_3.26.502.56_US.exe to flash your phone to the official ics build.
Thanks for the heads up, sorry for misinterpreting things. I'll give this a go when I get off work!
Looks like it worked! Thanks again
TWRP OK?
I have done some research on this and have found that I can get s-off by flashing a RUU rom. The thing is is that I have to have an updated recovery. Right NOw i have the TWRP 2.4.4.0 and wondering if Im good to flash the RUU or if i need to return to stock recovery.
I dont mind losing root as I can re root it.

vivid almost unlocked need to verify recovery or flash stock recovery
config.dat ran to change radio, since not s=off failed.
need to flash recovery to stock recovery/ current recovery could brick phone whjen flashing stock RUU .IMG ROM
Not positive that i have the recovery that makes brick sandwich, becasue there is a old recovery that does not allow certain system files to fetch the files needed to install RUU.
Need to verify recovery/flash stock RUU rom
if recovery is not verified / flash stock recovery
proceed to write radio

Found some more research with the borked ROm which seems to turn s-off. The rom is compiled from a stock ruu so im thinking I can still flash this Unlock_code.bin and get me unlocked with this awesome rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2171741
all thanks goes to homeslice976 and please dont beat me up for posting your link as I am looking for easier ways to get this phone unlocked so i can activate it on tmobile.
It seems that I have found an alternative to having the bootloader unlocked and the s-off to be able to change the radio to tmobile with Unlock_code.bin on the stock RUU img
I have since flashed the WXC recovery pretty awesome wildchild, great work!
Hi Guys,
1. I'm on S-ON with hboot 1.57 - is there currently any free way to S-OFF the phone or is it Sunshine only?
2. The roms here: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/ - Can I flash an appropriate one when I'm on S-ON with my hboot at 1.57, or would I need to go S-OFF.
I basically want to flash to stock to fix a blank IMEI, baseband and OS / firmware... I also want to update the firmware so I can safely use the Viper ROM... I've currently got it installed now and it looks ok, minus the fact half the phone's info is blank and I can't make a call I'm assuming flashing to stock will fix this.
Thanks guys!

no
these are old roms (your phone is running a recent firmware) but yes it can be flashed with s-on
You already have another thread for the same topic why creating another one?
Thanks Alray - I really just wanted to know if it was possible to S-OFF on 1.57 without having to spend the $25 - I thought that was pretty specific and aside from the issues with my phone, hence the new thread
I'm downloading the files now and will likely S-OFF later on, thank you!
Hi everyone,
I have a HTC One M7 device (M7_UL), with these specifications :
S-OFF
HBOOT 1.54
OS-2.24.161.1
I flashed everything (recovery, custom rom, etc.) but I just have the warning message when my device boots ("this built is for development...")
I wanted to remove it, so I have to flash my hboot.
In this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42379041#post42379041, I've found a hboot 1.54 that I can download and modify by myself with hex-editing (as explained in the same topic).
My only question is : regarding my current base (2.24.161.1) and because the hboot 1.54 proposed is for the base 2.24.401.1, could it be possible to flash it without bricking my device ?
By the way, except doing a Nandroid Backup, is there an another deep backup which can be done to save all the partitions ?
Thanks a lot for your help !
