Hey guys, it has been a while that a i posted a question about debugging, thanks to NOOBY i fixed everything, but now everything got lost again .
I used to have the Connection Type Menu on my Notification Bar in previous Nightlys, with the newest ones i doesn't have this option i only have the debugging that doesn't work for me because of the USB Connection .
Any Suggestions ?

I recieved the update notice and decided to try out froyo but sadly I forgot to remove lagfix. what happened is that 3 button combo doesnt work and the phone says its out of memory and tries to shut down as many background apps as possible making popups about apps forcing to close and by that makes it impossible to do anything... I can still connect it with kies and I ask you here in a last attempt to fix the phone...
anyone got a idea? if you do please share

Disable lagfix, restart, restore defeaults.. might work
If you manage to enter settings and enable usb debugging you can use adb to reboot in recovery and do a factory reset...
thanks for the answers ... now it may be possible to enter settings if I get rid of the damn popups that make the phone lagg.. any ideas?
Is there any way that they will fall for something like update made it lagg (and who should I turn to)... maybe they will be able to fix it ? :S
I got my optimus 2x months ago and it was working well apart from some problems ( not able to receive messages and battery not decreasing ) , but after sometime they disappeared. But a week ago , my computer is unable to detect my phone and the usb mass storage thingy doesn't pop up in the phone. Tried to on and off the usb mass storage thingy but nothing happened , tried the hidden menu thingy as well. Is there a solution for this problem? My phone is rooted , no custom rom thingys or kernels. I do want to send the phone for service but i cant unroot it without the access to me computer... Hope someone can tell me a solution to this problem.
There is no need to take it to service , mate. Just delete the USB Drivers from your computer , do a factory reset , and flash CM7 build #103 (stable rom) . After you boot on CM7 just activate USB Debugging Mode from settings and VOILA ! Your USB Mass Storage will work again. Just follow my steps exactly and will work 100%!!!
I have some complains though regarding CM7 ... like Camera or incompatibility with Asphalt 6 ... and there are a few bugs , but it's far smarter than any stock rom (because it's built by smart guys ). My advice for you is to keep CM7 untill the official GB is out . Good luck!

Hello I have the mosaic rom on my captivat,andwhen I connect it into my pc its trying to connect into the samsung kies.. I want it to be like a regular usb device .. what do i do ?
Menu/settings/applications/development/usb setting. Should be able to change it to usb storage from there

Settings> wireless and network>usb mode.
Understand why you forgot, That's a dumb place to put it, what does that have to do with wireless and network? Lol
I just installed Galaxian Soup on my tab. Loving it so far but there seems to be no support for USB file transfers..
When I connect the device to my pc the system tray shows up on my pc and it recognizes the P7300, the USB debugging icon shows up on the tablet but no mention of mass storage anywhere. The tablet isn't visible on the My Computer screen.
It's not a pc driver issue because I was able to transfer files fine before installing galaxian soup.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

It's a problem several of us are having that the devs are aware of. I don't know about a fix, but let's hope they fix it in the next release.
Oh OK thanks. Let's hope it gets fixed soon. In the meantime ill try to get CM working.
As far as i know, the AOSP version doesn't have this problem. Octhellion, are you using the AOSP or AOKP version?
AOKP, I'll give the AOSP version a try when I get home tonight and will report back. Thanks for the replies.

Still didn't get USB access
Have uninstalled and gone to Android HD 35.1 which works great, no problems with USB usage
Shame as I really liked the newer features of Paranoid but need USB usage
Paranoid only worked using wifi file transfer app

I had this problem once too.
However, dis- and reconnecting the device did the trick.
Does really nothing happen when you connect your phone? No status bar icon appearing? I think first, I had to enable MTP mode, because no USB mode was activated at all...

Really nothing happened on PC not showing up at all
Connected and charged through USB OK though
