Hi there,
Just flased the new Rocket Rom v7 4.03 that comes with Hydracore 3 Kernel. Everything was working fine until decided to flash update CallRecording.zip. The phone would not boot up into the ROM again, only left to go back to recovery mode and restore a previous backup.
Assistance?
Also, still searching for the CallRecording mod for JB Roms.

Hello,
i flashed my rom from DarkyNote kl7 to Rocket ROM v12 kl7.
after doing reboot twice(as mentioned in Rocket rom thread).i am unable to see my status bar and settings option on menu screen.also network is missing.
Please if any one could help me with this would be great.
thanks in advance.
do a full factory reset, reflash Rocket rom if it doesnot resolve the issue, flash KL7 stock rom and then flash Rocket rom
It should work for you
hi there, can someone guide me how to install criskelo ics 10.1 rom, i use to flash rocketrom before, so i think i got some skill on flashing custom rom...but itried to flash criskelo 9.1 last week n the result my note got hard brick, cant turn to download mode or recovery mode... luckily, i still got waranty on my note and sent it to SS n get new board as replacement...so can some one guide me the safest way to flash this rom...now im on stock ics 4.0.3 rom n rooted...
CRISKELO IS A VERY GOOD ROM BUT TRY WAIT A LITLE MORE TIME GET BETTER IN HIS VERSION ICS BECAUSE I AND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS , THE SAME WAY YOU INSTALL ROKET YOU INSTALL CRISKELO,
BUT IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THIS IS THE STEPS
FROM THE ORIGINAL GB
ROOT YOUR PHONE WHIT CF-Root-SGN_ZS_MUL_KK1-v5.0-CWM5
THEN INSTALL ABISS KERNEL REDPILL GO TO ADVANCE AND REBOOT RECOVERY
WIPE DATA, CACHE,DAVLICK CACHE
AND INSTALL THE CRISKELO ROM
BUT TO ME IN THIS WAY THE ROM CONTINUE TO GIVE ME PROBLEMS:
SUPERSU ASKING FOR PERMISS FOR ALL APPS
BATTERY PERCENT NOT SHOW CORECTLY
IN THE OTHER HAND CRISKELO VERSION 7 IS A ROM WHITOUT ANY PROBLEM VERY RECOMMNDED:good:
so which rom is best for now
If I were you, I would:
1. Download abyss kernel (this is a gb kernel so it should be safe)
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/...rnel/AbyssNotekernel42CWTouchOriginalLogo.zip
2. Install abyss from cwm (don't do any wipes)
3. Still in cwm, go to advance and reboot cwm
4. Do the three wipes (cahe, dalvik and factory)
5. Install criskelo's rom
It should be done.
That's how I installed,
I'm using criskelo's rom with glnotecore kernel and everything works fine.
I was playing around with a few roms and kernels, I then got CoCore 6.8 and flashed it through CWM onto ParanoidAndroid and now I cant access my phone or go into recovery. When booting normally, android.phone Stops working and when booting into Recovery I just get a loading circle ( similar to the buffering circle on YouTube )
Thanks in advance.

Be more specific: flash from what rom and kernel?
You can read the thread about downgrading from JB to GB, it has all the details you need to start from scratch.

So I had the ParanoidAndroid 2.90 rom, then I flashed CoCore .8 using CMW onto it and now I cant accces either my phone or recovery.
Trying to go back to stock with Odin now.
PA is cyanogenmod based, and such ROMs only work with cyanogenmod based kernels. On other words, cocore is just for stock roms. You mix both of them and you'll end up with what you have right now...
Flash everything again with odin and you'll be fine!

Okay, I got the tock onto it but its stuck in Bootloop :/
Will I be able to just flash CWM and go back to a Backup without using odin to reinstall the stock ?
Okay, I managed to get CWM up and running, currently im restoring a Backup from this morning.
// Problem solved, restored perfectly and works now. Thanks for the help
Firstly, I must say that bought my i9000 with Mackay rom (4.1.2 then) on it, and that I was very satisfied with it. Since then, I've changed several roms on my SGS.
But, I've been using a new 4.0.1 Mackay KK rom, and still not completely satisfied with some missing options, so I wanted to go back to JB, but I came across some issues. I did exactly how the developer wrote, but no luck. I've been trying to install rom with twrp, but it fails. OK, the developer mentioned it could happen, so I tried to flash again, as said, but still no luck. After that, I tried to flash old kernel, the one for JB, but failed again. TWRP now won't flash anything. Just to mention, the phone isn't bricked. I can power it up, and it works fine.
How can i flash back to old kernel, so I could flash JB again? Or, there is some trick to flash back to JB with kernel 0.600?
Thank U in advance,
filipidis
EDIT: I succeeded in going back to JB. I was somehow able to flash cyancore kernel over TWRP. Then I flashed it again with Mackay kernel, and flashed JB 4.3.
Now, waiting for stable version of Mackay KK.

The only way I was able to go back from a KK Rom was to go to back to GB 2.3.6 first and then up from there.
I dont know if you did the same as me when installing a KK but I loaded up CM10.2 (or CM11) fist so as to upgrade the CWM and increase the partition as they recommend. I guess this has to be undone, and the best way is with ODIN and 2.3.6. I re-rooted and everything afterwards. Hope it works for you its only another 10 mins.
Actually there is a quicker way because I had to go back to JB from KK and doing this worked.
Simply flash a JB kernel first then your corresponding Rom and gapps.

I usually go back to a stock rom before trying something new - and most of the time I run into less problems. If you want to stay rooted and continue using custom roms, you might go with this:

i agree i always flash back to stock then flast dbdata file to sort out errors with partitions. then flash any other rom i require afterwards:laugh:
