[Q] web os?

why exactly was the thread to get web os on our phones? i think it would be a really cool idea, if i was a dev id jump right on it. but why was it shut down?

From what I seen and know from downloading it, a certain someone claimed to have gotten it working. Not any one the known names that were Dev'in it, anyway he released it and it was bricking hero's. Then he said sorry and released another, I downloaded it and instantly Norton Anti Virus hit on the file! It was reported and it just went away. Anyone who was working on it probably is trying to distance themselves from it, can't say I blame them. Sucks that one person ruined it for everyone though

Yea that would be awesome to have webos on here. Im getting a new phone soon and I wouldnt mind messing around with my hero some more.

Hey there sorry, this isnt really to do witg development much but does anyone know if i can transfer the license from CS5 mc to another computer legitimately (it official but laptop really screwed but i can still access it) thanks a lot guys

I think it should be fine as long as you don't have it on on both computers.

Yeah I would just uninstall it from the other, and then install it on the new one using the same key. I'm pretty sure it will work. If not give adobe a call

alright guys so i have a macbook And i Forgot My Password So i Did The Whole New Account Hack in the terminal and now all of the sudden my keyboard is not working only my volume and brightness buttons are.. what do i do ive tried everything can you guys help me out please!

If you have tried everything, then there is nothing else to do.

Honestly you might have to take it to one of those mac stores. I've personally never been inside one but they supposedly have their own IT department that might be able to fix your problem.

I know! I was thinking maybe his wife had enough of him being on xda and made him close his account. Of course I have no idea though. Remember when she threw his touchpad in the toilet? Really sad that he's gone...

Wondering myself what happened. His loss will be a large blow to the community so hopefully he'll be back. Just gunna keep my fingers crossed.

Of course. He was the one who made a request to the mod to have him removed from xda. Abrupt but we should respect his decision and thank him for endless hours in developing this rom

i was thinking it was wife related too. considering she dumped his TP in the toilet once before. i'm sad to see him go, but i can understand he has more important priorities. if you read this SGA thanks for all your efforts

Hey you never know. Its so damn sad. He was a great developer for the touchpad. His account has been permanently deleted too.

Very sad news. Let's hope he and and his family is ok, and nothing terrible happened.

The only hint I could find was this:

Damn...thats rough.

Yes, very odd to dissapear so suddenly. Similar to when OaT left touchpad suddenly as he felt underappreciated as a developer (rightly so) but we learnt our lessons and treated SGA well.
Until we have news, SGA thank you for all your help. I'm still running your ICS ROM because it's just so stable. Good luck and I hope everything is ok!

You all do this dev a great disservice with this presumptious crap. Leave him alone. If he comes back, great. If he doesn't, be thankful for what he gave us. As far as I'm concerned, the moderator should shut this thread down.

As a user of his work, i certainly hope all is well. Should he decide to come back, i think we can find a place for him again.
That said, while i will leave this open, please do not go off the rails with crazy theories, or harassing him or the staff for more info. If he says something, that is fine.. but lets keep this simple, ok guys?

Just wanted to alsoexpress my appreciation for SGA. He will be missed. Hope all is well with him.
