I may not know much, but I know what I want! - Nexus 7 Accessories

And this is what I want:
A charger with minimum 2 USB-ports, one of which must be 2.1A and one at least 1A. It must have european plugs, and be available in Europe. Ebay is fine, chinese sites even better, and if I can get it in a norwegian shop/webshop that would be the bee's knees.
If anyone can make my day, I would be eternally... well, let's be honest, I would be grateful for at least a few hours.

I can't post external links yet but a quick amazon brought up the 'PortaPow 10W 2A European EU 2 pin plug Dual USB Wall Mains AC Charger'
It looks like it'll meet your requirements.

It does indeed! Thanks a lot!
Link, since I can: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PortaPow-Eu...9PQY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352451387&sr=8-2

[Q] 'Official' or best charger for USA?

Hello, how are you folks doing.
I was hoping to purchase a charger that would work in the US, as I ordered my note from clove.co.uk and it shipped with a UK charger (no surprise there).
Perferably, this would be the fast (AC) charger.
I was considering getting a Japanese model, as the plugs and voltage are similar, until I decided that the differences were just enough that it would be a dumb idea (charger would be over-volted and current would flow at a different frequency).
I've seen some non-OEM solutions, but was wondering if there was an OEM one, or if you guys had some experience with aftermarket chargers (as they do technically void the warranty- I selected Clove because they promised they would take care of the warranty if need be, but don't want to add other variables to the mix).
Thanks in advance.
Just get an iphone or ipod touch charger if you don't already have one. They are related 5V and 1A, and just like your stock charger. It is much smaller in size, and only $5 or less on Ebay.
The official genuine Samsung Adapter in India is compatible with all the voltages worldwide. All you need is the Pin conversion plug which costs one or two dollars. After that, you're ready to go. The original genuine Samsung Adapter costs somewhere in the range of 4-5 dollars. Its a genuine official samsung adapter, what more do you want. cheers
See, I've been using a generic 5V charger for the US, but it outputs at 500mA, not 1A. The phone would charge twice as fast with a 1A charger, lol
Awesome, you just made me realize there was a difference between the two chargers I am using. One says .7A and the other says 850ma. So the 850ma should charge faster correct?

Second Charger

Has anyone found a wall charger that they're happy with? I have an Amazon basics 2.1 Amp one that charges OK and shows up as an A/C charger in the battery stats, but it's not as fast as the stock one (which already is slow).
I'd post a link to what I have, but the forum still sees me as a newbie even though I've been lurking around for a few years now.

Same... :crying:
If you don't really care about super fast charging time almost all usb wall chargers are the same because of the limitations of a usb cable. Just color, shape, and size might vary
I'm using the my hp Touchpad charger. It seems like it charges faster than the original charger. I'll have to test and see though.

I bought a pogo charger so it won't take up the micro usb slot and also safer charging with pets (or kids). If I'm lucky it will charge faster too.
the pogo charger uses the original samsung ac adapter though.. it doesn't come with one
I just use any random charger I have (I think I use an old Kindle one right now) and leave it charge while I sleep. I have no complaints and have a POGO on order.
I ordered the Powergen chargers for both the wall and my car. They supply 3.1 amps so whatever the max is that the N10 will take, it will get it.
Search for "powergen 3.1" on Amazon and you'll find both.
I'm using my Asus Transformer Prime charger with mine. It seems to work well.

Nice tip - thanks. That and the POGO has to be about as fast as it gets PLUS with the second USB port I will be able to charge my phone and tablet at the same time, same charger.

Thanks everyone for your input. I ended up ordering the Powergen 3.1 charger suggested above. I'll report back on what my experience is. I did note that one of the reviews of that item at Amazon says it charges the Nexus 10 well, so my hopes are high.
Next question - anyone know what happens if you plug in the POGO charger and a USB charger at the same time?
Your charger isnt going to make a great deal of difference in charge time. An updated and/or custom kernel will help a LOT more with that.
The AC wall unit isn't a charger, it's the power supply for the charger inside the N10.
Me and another N10 owner measured how much current the N10 draws from the PS and it was less than 1A, so the device isn't even asking anywhere near the max that the PS can supply. Unless there is someother reason and there very well could be, a larger PS "might" be a waste of time/money.
I think the N10 charger uses a special usb protocol which allows it to charger faster than most

I'm intrigued; how is that? More importantly, does such a kernel currently exist? I started this thread in search of a second charger that just worked as well as the original one. I'd be happier if could find something that did better than the OEM.

What I can tell you is that both powergen units charge the N10 fine.
What I can't tell you is whether they charge the N10 any faster than the stock wall unit. I haven't done any testing.
I'm expecting my pogo cable any day, maybe I'll do some testing then.
There are so many differing theories here, who knows?

Yes so many, maybe if someone would write to Mr google and ask him he would explains it to us hehehe
I have seen some dual USB port PS that are rated "total" for both "not" each port. How is this PowerGen 3.1?
Just check and it's listed as "shared", so that's 3.1A total.
The description clearly states that each port can supply up to 3.1A. If both are used at once, the 3.1A is shared.

External wall charger for the Note 2

First off i am not a noob and yes i have googled for the past three days to find out if what i want is available. the reason of this post is that so far as i can see, i am not able to get one to India (where i live). This is what i want or something similar:
http://gorillagadgets.com/dual-wall-charger-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2.html
this is a wall charger (and i dont mean the ones that come with the phone). the link above is for charging two batteries at one go. i am ok with getting a device that charges even one battery. i have looked high and far and though there are several options like the hyperion and anker (which come with the external chargers) they are not shippable to India, which is the crux of my problem. Hope to find some light here...help...please?

wow! 79 views and no reply yet!! it is this too basic a question to merit an answer or is it that none here knows the answer
Your best bet us gonna be to look to other countries other than the US. I would contact samsung korea and see what they can do for you. For some reason my country doesnt like to ship priducts overseas one piece at a time. Lol

original docking station
i dun think they come with the wall adapter though.
the purpose of an extra battery is to take it out with the wall charger so that i can leave the battery and the wall charger at the power outlet itself. However, though your docking station is good, it would not serve the purpose cause i would have to then take quite a few extra things...the dock itself, the charging cable etc etc thus occupying more space...eagerly looking for more replies and thanks for the ones that have taken the trouble to reply

Spare dash charger and cable

Hi,
it's end of September now and three months after the launch of the Oneplus 3 I am unable to purchase a spare dash charger (German plug form-factor) and a certified dash USB cable.
Only found US form-factor and even this was marked "out of stock".
Also I'd like to get a longer cable (2m should not affect dash charging), which is more flexible than the red ribbon cable provided with the device, and maybe also in black than red.
Anyone having been successful in finding one out there?
Dont you have the same charger that here in Sweden? There's in stock for me when I'm checking the oneplus store.

yes we have.
But look closely: if you select Sweden as your country, you see the price in Swedish Kronors for the *UK* version of the charger.
There is always the UK version selected as the other versions are marked "out of stock" as soon as you tap to select.
Is it really different for you?
Problem seems to be:
Dash is proprietary and apparently only one manufacturer producing it now - and not for his own supply chain line, but only on orders by Oneplus.
They seemed to have totally underestimated the post-sale demand for additional chargers
I would really like to see a longer cable too......But there is literally NOTHING to be found.
People talk in exhaust about a possible USB extension cable saying it works with Dash Charge.....but that was proven to be WRONG. Also, I believe some OnePlus Dev chimed in saying they actually CANNOT make a longer Dash Cable due for technical reasons.....anyway, reference links below:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/longer-dash-charge-cable-please.459070/
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...-a-f-cable-supports-op3-dash-charging.454306/
Here's my experience, after a little time with the OP3 in my hands. Unless an extra 10 or 15 minutes for a FULL charge is a major deal breaker for you, just use a regular Quick Charge 3 adapter and non-Dash cable. It is SLIGHTLY slower, but not by a whole lot. Even with my QC3 car charger (Anker PowerDrive+2) it just cranks in the juice. My drive to work is literally 4 minutes. I average 3-4% in that time. Almost the same as Dash in that time frame. That's using an old microUSB cord and an Aukey type C adapter on the end.
Yes, Dash IS quicker, but not by a huge margin, and not so much that people should be all that worried about not using official Dash gear.
I mean its 1.5A versus 3.5-4. Its a pretty big difference. I mostly charge on slow USB but I do see the times it would come in handy, I just use my slower stuff because of 6' cables.
Your QC charger doesn't make a difference here.
EU version is back in stock (for now at least)!
(I just bought one from here in Sweden)

Please help me find an alternative to the super vooc

I don't think any of the Anker, Aukey, Ravpower etc (even ones that are 50W, 65W or more) can charge this phone at max speed due to difference in protocols. I'd love If I can find a third party charger to charge phone at full speed.
However, some people suggested this:
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/202868041821
It's a little expensive, but it should be a genuine charger.
However if you didn't have that in mind and wanted something different, any charger you use that has a PD or QC 3.0 standard will charge the phone at 18W.
Thank you for the reply! I have several 18w chargers & I found a 30w wrap charger that comes withe the one plus 8 I matter of fact I don't have the possibility to buy online only at local stores unfortunately, but thank very much for your advice and have a nice day.

Yeah OnePlus has a different protocol so it can't work at full speed unfortunately
