Recovery commands

Hi,
I found the --update_package=SDCARD:update.zip command that, when written to /cache/recovery/command can let the recovery auto-execute the flash.
I searched for other commands but did not found a thing (xda, google)...
Isn't it an index somewhere on what commands can be executed?
I hope there is some others... isn't it?
Thx
Not sure I fully understand...
Do you want the commands available in recovery shell?
If so, it's all busybox... but perhaps I misunderstand?
I think its not busybox. Ill try to express myself better:
The file cache/recovery/command can have recovery commands that will be auto executed on next boot into recovery.
What are they? Any list?
The only one i know is --update-package which flash an update.zip
Sent from my Nexus One
Bump!
Come one, someone has to know.
Please, that could really be helpfull for all ROM cookers
Since you have the AOSP code, have you tried searching through it ?

From the stock recovery I can see:
--update_package=root: path - verify install an OTA package file
--wipe_data - erase user data (and cache), then reboot
--wipe_cache - wipe cache (but not user data), then reboot
But what about custom recoveries?
Do they have other commands?
I see no other commands from koush's repository @ github and just wanted to be sure.
My main question is: is there recovery commands for nanbackup?

Sure, in your sdk folder just use cmd or terminal and do "adb logcat". Then put the output in a text format and upload it here, and if you don't mind, could you please try BETA0.2?
Thanks.

[Q] Bootlooping.

I'm trying to port the aurora rom for desire, but it keeps bootlooping. Anyone with some experience can help me?
Logcat attached.
Are you using m2sd?
If you are, try moving cmdalvik to your sd-ext. that worked for me.
To do that use adb on your computer. enter adb shell while your phone is in the bootloop and then enter
Code:
m2sd cmdalvik enable
hope this helps.

ad2sdx is kinda bad cause big files like games dont work on that cause of the data i think ...double check tho bro
I think it uses a ext4 partition. Did you create partition correctly? Which recovery are you using? Advisable to use 4ext if you are not using that.
Guys, i'm not trying to install a rom. I'm trying to port a rom. So comments about partitions and stuff are useless to me.

They're not useless! Simply because if it bootloops you can potentially have bad partition layout... Anyway I can take a look at the logcat.
Mmm, seems like a kernel issue but I'm not really sure. I'm not a dev
Use the boot.img and the /system/lib/hw/ folder of another Sense 3.5 rom for Nexus One and copy to your rom.
Then try again...
EDIT: or while it's bootlooping, take out the battery, reinsert, go into recovery and flash only the kernel v8 by dbasabe, then reboot and see what happens.

Yeah, but my system partition is big enough, and my ext 4 is 1gb, so it seems that that is not the problem.

Instructions for S-OFF Users
Simply flash XS-ICSvX.X.zip in your favourite recovery!
Instructions for manual flashing (HTCDev.com unlocked S-ON Users)
Thanks to MrToastbrot for instructions
Step 1: Download the XS-Kernel.zip, then open the Zip on your computer and extract the file mkbootimg.sh in "kernel"
Step 2: Open mkbootimg.sh in a texteditor like notepad++ or notepad, then edit the following in line 3:
Code:
output /tmp/newboot.img
to
Code:
output /sdcard/newboot.img
Step 3: Save your edited file and place it back in your zip, copy your modified zip to your phone-sdcard and install it in the recovery. Then reboot your phone and connect it to pc and take the newboot.img from the root of the sdcard.
Step 4: Now reboot your phone into bootloader and flash it via fastboot flash boot newboot.img
Step 5: Once you phone has booted, mount the system as r/w using something like ES file explorer or Root explorer, then type the following:
Code:
adb push bcm4329.ko /system/lib/modules
Set permissions to rw-r--r--, reboot and enjoy!
Sweep2Wake: Q&A
Q: How do I disable / enable the feature?
A: Two options
Change the value in the file /sys/android_touch/sweep2wake to either 0 for disabled, 1 for enabled and 2 for enabled with backlight. This will be reset upon rebooting.
If your ROM supports init.d scripts, then flash the zip to enable or disable, this will stick over a reboot.
Q: It keeps taking screenshots when I lock the screen!?
A: This is due to an incompatibility with this feature and the native screenshot in Sense. TO stop the screen shots, you need to edit your build.prop and change the property ro.htc.framework.screencapture to false, and then reboot.

I followed the guide as it is, i modified the file as the guide says, and there's no newboot.img file on sdcard.

Your modded zip is working on my phone but It's s-off. I found the newboot.img on sdcard root. Run your flashable zip again then go to tools>copy recovery.log to sdcard. It will be in your 4ext directory. Have a look and see if you can spot any errors. Upload here if you need any help.

could you upload the newboot.img file?

I'm not on stock Rom, so my newboot.img will not work on your phone because it has a different ramdisk. You might want to try changing your recovery to 4ext touch.

Need partition img

Do somebody who have a s3 mini (i-8190L) can make, via twrp, a copy of the /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 partition and send it here, please.
You can do it by opening a terminal on TWRP and executing this command "dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p4.img"
I would be very grateful if somebody helps me.
Any one kno twrp.img file for s3 mini ve 18200
