Hi,
First of all i don't know if this is already been answered but the search is down at the moment "An error occurred while performing a Searchlight query:
connection to 10.41.47.194:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)"
I just installed the CM10 rom for my 8.9 wifi tab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777398&page=175. It seems to work fine, however when the device goes to "sleep" (screen off after 1 minute). When i try to wake it up i only see a screen with "green stripes" (see picture)

The same thing happens with the AOSP ROM.
When i reboot my tab it works fine untill it "sleeps" again.
Does anybody know that to do now?
Thanks!

I dont fully understand what that means. Sorry i'm a noob at this. I got CM10 on my 8.9 and the same happened to me. How do I exactly update the bootloader? through Odin? please help, Im so close to having Jellybean on my tab, just this problem is stopping me.
Odin to stock and reflash the ROM
search the forum for "garbled screen" or "screen flickering"
you should find a thread by fred for common problems for ICS roms and up in the genral forum
to sum up, you need to be on a certain version of the bootloader to avoid this issue.
so, either flash the stock rom "GT-P7310_XAR_P7310UELA3_P7310XARLA3_P7310UELA3" (you can find it on sammobile) which contains the bootloader (flash the whole rom through ODIN) , then reflash CM10 rom just liek you did (make sure to format /system) or search the CM10 thread for bootloader, kalt kaffe has extracted the required boot loader and posted it in a post within the thread pages.
Good luck flashing the boot loader

Great, cheers for the reply. A couple of questions before I begin. Will this work with the French version of the tablet? (orderd in the uk but came from France for some reason). When I'm flashing it with odin do I upload it via bootloader instead of PDA? Thanks for replying

regarding the first question, I am not sure 100% but I think it should work. you can also search the main thread, there were cases like yours and I think but not sure they flashed the boot loader / rom successfully.
for the second question, if you are flashing the extracted boot loader only (posted by kalt kaffe) you should flash using the boot loader option (kalt kaffe has posted the instructions to flash in the same exact post where the boot loader is attached, so you should check there too).
If you are going to flash the full rom I talked about above, you should flash it normally through PDA, then reflash the rom of your choice.

I don't know what you mean with prerequests, but if you mean something like (pre)requirements I would say it's like
A installed 20A firmware
Root
Unlocked Bootloader
Installed CWM.
How to install should be like any other rom atm:
Place it on your internal sd card
Boot into CWM recovery
Choose something like "install zip from internal storage"
Choose the downloaded zip
Install it and on next reboot you will have a deodexed and zipaligned V20A
I take no warranty to these steps, but I think it should work. I would be glad if somebody could confirm these steps...
i tried to install it via cwm and after phone stays in lg logo.now im reflashing v20 euroopen, fix it please
has anybody else tried to flash this via cwm???
come on men suport your them or else delete it
I flashed it with cmw not the touch version. Working great.

He means the version of CWM - there is a touch and a non-touch version of it
The reason this won't boot is it doesn't have boot included, you need to have the same v20a its based on installed, this works much like the deodex for ICS where it only modifies the /system partition. Just look inside the zip, no boot.img!

What i8190 version have you got. Regular or N/L version?
Have you tried stock rom with odin yet?
If you did use odin, did you flash stock recovery first, or was it included in the firmware package?

I don't have stock rom now so I can't guide you through the whole menu, but lets get you started..
First open up dialpad and enter *#0011#
A screen with RF status or something will appear.
Now use your menu-key to bring up some uptions and choose "back".
Now I don't remember if that will take you to default servicemenu or if you have to go back one more time using the menu-key once again.
Anyway..I think option to restore NV_Data is somewhere under the debug menu..
You'll have to browse the menus back and fourth, couse I can't remember where it is exactly. I just know it's in there somewhere
when i pushed nv rebuild :
MENU NOT EXIST
PRESS BAC KEY
Current command is 3335
omg i didnt thought that such small drivers update is such a pain in a**
by now i have no more ideas how to bring back my baseband from XXXX to normal
but as i think modem.bin is responsible for that
DAMN!
So whats missing?
Do you have root so you can look for /modemfs & /efs-folder?
thread closed

worked nv rebuild at 2nd time
phone said - rebuilded, pls restart.
again MEGA thnx

Hey
So my problem is, that my phone isn't booting any more. I first had official Gingerbread Rom, but I wanted Cyanogenmod, so I installed
a Kernel and Flashed CM10.1 with CWM-Recovery. But the rom didn't boot, so I installed another rom, but it also didn't boot.
After that I installed 4-5 Roms but all of them are stuck at booting screen. I can still go into Download mode and install OFW, but that
is also not working . I downloaded the OFW from Sammobile, but that isn't also booting.
Can someone PLEASE help, because I need a working phone!:crying:

Please help! My Galaxy Tab is in a pickle!
My Galaxy Tab is SHW-M180S from South Korea, and it is rooted via a Custom Rom ( http://jctool.tistory.com/m/post/view/id/133 ) by using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2057050
It's been 2 weeks since I rooted it and then just yesterday, it suddenly Crashed (which happens at least once a day) so I rebooted it, but instead of normally going into my lock screen, it just loops. It's been 3 hours of this madness.
So, in desperation, I entered the Stock System Recovery (I do not have CWM installed), wiped the data and cache and rebooted. Now, it doesn't loop, but it's stuck on the SKT Logo (My carrier). Just there. This is where I am now.
From here, I can still enter the System Recovery and Download Mode. It still charges etc. Odin can read it.
Please help, I don't know what to do!
