Confirmed Fit for N73g - Nexus 7 Accessories

It appears after searching and reading the forum. I can't find a definite answer. Google sells the bumper/case for the N7 3G but says "Wifi Only" are these cases made compatible with the 3g version? I'm not real concerned about the Mic, I've read they cover it. Any one have any luck or ideas?
Thanks.

I believe the n7 and n7 3g are externally identical...

most N7 wifi cases will cover the sim tray and the 2. mic

If it is important to you you need to buy an case with an cutout on thr left side.

It should be easy enough in most cases to make/drill a small hole for the microphone if the case affects it.

Otterbox Defender case for the Galaxy Tab

Has anyone seen one of these in person? I've only seen them on the Verizon Wireless website. I sent an email to Otterbox and they said it is exclusive to Verizon and they don't have any plans to make a Commuter case, which would be my preference. Does any one have any other detailed pictures of one of these? I'd like to have a better idea of how bulky the case is before I attempt to buy one.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/otterbox-defender-cover-w-kickstand-1.shtml
huh, I thought it was some kind of glitch since it wasn't on the otterbox site. I have the commuter for two other phones and like them, would have preferred that over the defender.
I use the Commuter cases for my BB...they are quite good and very low profile! I also sent them a mail...wish they would hurry up and manufacture some...even Defender cases would be fine...

Manufacture some what? They are already making the Defender case but you can only buy it from Verizon. They have no plans to make a Commuter series case for the Galaxy Tab according to the email I received.
I received my Otterbox for my Galaxy Tab today. It seems very nice, and as normal for Otterbox defenders very bulky. I do not mind the bulk knowing that my device is stronger/safer. My fav part of the case is the removable back piece that can pop up into a kickstand (rubber feet and all) for the tab.
None the less, here are a few pics I took with my phone.

The only place that I found it available is Verizon.com. I don't know how they have it when no one (including otterbox themselves) seems to be able to get it. I tried to find it discounted on the interwebs first with no luck.
Are you able to post the dimensions of the otterbox defender?
Also, can you confirm that the removable back cover also fits over the front to protect the screen when not in use.
They are not available here in new zealand (but then again, neither is the galaxy tab), so I might get a friend to pick one up from optus in australia.

Dimensions: 1.25 X 5.5 X 7.75 Inches (3.18 X 13.97 X 19.69 CM)
The back cover will fit on the front, but where it is not touching any of the tablet except for the 4 corners, it does not feel solid any longer. It has a small wiggle to it. It is nice just to protect the screen, just does not feel the same.
Thanks.
Does it give you access to all the ports? Bottom samsung cable port, micro schc, mic, speakers and the head phone jack?
I'm a mountain biker. When I go for a ride my current solution is to swap the sim card out if my tab into my old rugged nokia. I was considering a defender + a dry bag as an alternate solution. What do you think?

No, not all ports. The sim and the sd card are covered. You would have to remove the case to swap them out. The data cable, mic speakers and headphones are all accessible with the case on.

Yes it does. Try doing a search for "Otterbox Galaxy Tab" in the search at Verizon Wireless. I don't think they allow direct links. It always dumps you to the home page from a link.
its by otterbox, its a compatible defender interactive case which also sells on www.discountcell.com/cellular/pn/Samsung_SAM2-GTAB7-20-E4OTR

they also sell them here but its more expensive $69.95 compared to 49.95 on discountcell

Replacement inner bezel/frame with cutouts for wireless charging

Can we start a discussion around this replacement inner bezel/frame?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ACCESKE/
Specifically I'd like to know if this is compatible with SCH-I605, the Verizon wireless variant of SGN2. I've searched for an iFixit teardown or anything else that might show the internal frame on the VZW version but no luck. Anyone have info on this?

Just a thought..
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/sp.html?a=B00ACCESKE&s=A22Q0QY5OHFW08
Near the bottom of that (mobile browser) there is a link to contact the seller "IDS Online Shop"
Seems like a good place to start.
I couldn't see why it wouldn't work, given that I believe the dimensions of the VZW Gn2 are the same.
I've thought about this too, the problem is the pins are raised so they make contact with the battery cover, there's already like 3 threads about this

You can use a thin rolled strip of copper tape to overcome the fact that the pins aren't raised on the VZW version. The thread on wireless charging mod shows how to do this.

Same here! I dropped my SGN2 and the silver bezel look awful. Ive been trying to hide it using covers but I would really like to replace it. Ive contacted many suppliers in my country, the only solution was to replace the bezel and the screen all together. That would cost me around 300 $s. Any other solutions?
Any luck OP? I want wireless charging in my Note 2 :fingers-crossed:

These are awesome. Buy it. That blue is gorgeous. I got the original titanium one. Lucky you found a us seller. These back covers will also be compatible with most if not all cases you already have since it is a teeny bit thicker than stock. Also you'll love the feel of it!
Right now eBay has many us sellers for these.

For me its basically the same. Amazing
I notice where I usually have 1 bar hspa that with the aluminum back it's 2-3 bars of Edge.. Mine came with the NFC but it doesn't work any way I try.
If you have plenty of service all the time, then I highly recommend it. I currently use a carbon fiber black leather door.
Just ordered. Waiting to get it mid week. Will report back with my finding. I have a galaxy note 2 on vzw.

NFC Chip on Ebay
I just got a new case back and am a little hesitant to pry up the old one.
This this makes my note 2 look very unique! Signal not effected at all! I have more grip now also. here are is a pic on the phone.

Bought both aluminum back and spare nfc chip
thought i chime in because i have a red aluminum back - it wouldn't work with the spare nfc chip i bought from ebay at all - at first i thought it was the chip but carefully place the chip on the phone without the back cover and using a piece of tape to test without the cover proved otherwise
so i then knew it was the alumnium backing - but idk about you guys i barely use the nfc feature
I just ordered this one a carbon fiber one from eBay and the seller says the NFC chip will work fine. I'll post once I receive and test it.
I ordered a nfc chip from ebay. The first one didn't work and they are sending out a new one.

I have the black version and my NFC works like a charm..
I had a jean on with metal parts above the pockets, when i have received that cover. I installed it and the back got full of scratches in a few hours. The aluminum cover is so soft and ductile, that it wont stand a chance against the metal zips of your clothes. Also the signal gets reduced. Wifi signal changes about 20% and if the gsm signal is lost on a boat tour you can get two bars of signal if you remove the cover.

Car Mount?

Does anyone can Recommend Car Mount for edge?
I have been using the iBolt xpro seems OK although the springs seem a little strong.
I am looking at some off the wireless chargers but not seen and that look right for landscape use.
I use iMagnet, the edge can stick without any needs for the metal plate, but I use slim ringke case, for thick case I think you'll need to attach the metal plate.

If you don't use your CD slot, get this one. I hate the ones that stick on the windshield with a suction because they always fall off while I'm driving around. These are way more secure and won't obstruct your view.

That can't be good for the phone. I am even weary of that mount with the metal plate. I know the phone is shielded, but that's quite a strong magnet.

Don't just assume things... and then comment. This is how misconceptions gets spread.
A magnet doesn't have any major negative impact on your phone. The worst it could do is screw up your compass if you use an app that needs that function.

I find that mounts with side grips makes it harder for you to access the screen edges since it curves.
I'm using this one:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/arkon-slim-grip-sm514-universal-windshield-dash-in-car-mount-p35798.htm
Good quality and it clamps the phone from top and bottom so that your edges are free. I initially bought this for the Z2 since side clamps can disrupt button presses.

It is, even with Ringke Slim, it's pretty sticky enough, I guess something inside the edge is made of metal, right in the middle of the body.

Been using it a while now, and it's great. The magnet is strong enough to keep the watch in place, no problem. One thing I recommend is to attach it to the desk with double-sided tape.
