Hello,
I have a strange problem on my Tab 8.9. With some CM10 (the newers with a circle at the starting) the tablette works fine until the screen turns off.
Indeed, when I wake it up, I have the sceen attached.
The tablette work but not the screen.
I tried differents kernels, A1-p5-1.7.3-wifi.zip, A1-p5-1.8.2-wifi.zip, and also a lot of ROM. Only the old one are fonctionnaly, ( with non working front apn, and I need it for skype).
Does anyone has a solution?
I am run out of idea.
Thanks

the problem is with the boot loader. search the main thread of CM10 for boot loader, you will find some posts linking to the boot loader only, or linking to a full rom that contains a valid boot loader. or just search here in the general forum for boot loader / screen garbled / screen flicker
Previous post is correct...

When I boot my N1 it reboots itself after 5-15 seconds. I've all possible roms in the N1 development, but they all have the same problem except for Kang-o-rama SP2 which is CM 7.0.2.1. I actually want to have a MIUI rom on my N1. Whenever I go into recovery, it doesn't have the problem. I've wiped everything that is possible and I've changed all my recoveries, partitions and (Blackrose) HBOOT's. I've made a logcat:
pastebin.com/DcTY6jzz
I've had two outputs, because I ran it twice, so I posted them both?
How can I fix this?
btw, sorry for my bad english I'm dutch
Update: I found out by looking at the logcat that my camera was the problem, my camera doesn't work: screen stays black, after waiting force-close window. Solution?
Did you try Sense?

hey arian44, my device has the same problem, device boots and like you, 10 - 15 seconds after boot it reboots itself.
I have wiped, rewiped and formatted my SD card just in case.
Also tried it without sim or SD card in, same problem.
I can flash rom's but it sounds like you'r a bit ahead of me changing Hboots.
I will post any progress / solutions I find here.
Hello Community,
I'm new here and hope you can help me even if it is only a little bit
So I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 with stock rom 2.3.6, root rights and cwm flashed.
Before I did this I had some problems with my phone, e.g. if I hit (gently) the back side the phone turns off =/
My new at the moment real problem is that I cannot turn my phone on if I only use the battery. (onlly the Samsung logo appears for a short time)
I can only boot it if the phone is pluged into my computer. When it runs and the display turns off, the phone will go off also. (not instantly but atfter 2-5 minutes)
Does anyone knows something about such a problem?
Thanks for your help.

I can exclude the battery. I have tested two of them and I can be sure that both are well because they work in another Galaxy S I9000 without problem.
To flash a custom rom with plugged phone into computer will be tested tomorrow.

Good luck:good:But I would suggest to flash stock gb rom first just to make sure its not a software problem.
I remember @xsenman has mentioned a solution for this problem about two months ago..... I am sure he will write you soon here.
I had the same problem with my phone, it would reboot if i tapped the back of it, i found out it was a dodgy app i installed so i uninstalled a couple of apps i recently installed and it solve the problem.
So know I have tryed to flash with connected phone. I do not know whether it works because the phone won't boot the system, only recovery and bootloader.
In cause of this I have reflashed with Odin again. Now I get at reboot this screen:
image: s29.postimg.org/bu61r7md3/PZv_PCPk_Txs5a_Xl_G_z1a22_Odgumodl7_HN6v_Ksy3_Q5_MNPm_s.jpg
sry but i cannot post direct links =/
I understand what there is written but I don't know why, the only sdcard is my internal there is no external connected.
So there is a new problem and I would be glad about new ideas =\
(I tryed: reboot, wipes and reboot, wipes and new flashing (same problem))
@tetakpatak if my system boots again I would search for his post thank you
Hi all,
So I have an S3 i9305 sitting around doing nothing. Thought I'd play with it. I had and older build of Miui running on it fine.
Decided to put on CM11, and that's when my issues started. The phone boots, but as soon as I get to any sort of setup screen I can touch anything on the screen. The physical buttons work fine, but the screen isnt.
I flashed a touch CWM and TWRP, both of which loaded fine by I couldnt touch anything.
I flashed back to stock kernel and stock rom
Kernel from - http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/recovery-odin-flashable-tar-t1971265
ROM from - http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...5/roms-updated-17-08-2013-pre-rooted-t1942150
Still unresponsive touch.
Anything else I can try before I write this off as bricked
Thanks!

1 more thing...get the RIGHT firmware from HERE - get the one for your country.....flash that and do a factory reset after it..and wipe cache....
happened to a friend with galaxy ace....but phone was back to normal after flashing stock firmware from samsung.
Thanks mate!
So I tried some more flashes, no luck.
Took the phone to the local repair place, they told me the screen is broken. They attached a different temp screen and it worked. They attached my screen to a different phone and it didn't work.
Quoted me $189 to replace the screen

Dont think so... tired a few from the SamMobile site with no success. The setup screen shows up fine - but cannot continue with the setup as I cannot touch the screen.

so it is a hardware problem....not software - you can flash whatever you like...won't solve it...
if you like the phone consider repairing it...

I am having the same problem.
Even after installing new firmware.
The phone boots, screen is working. But the touch is not responding... I also did a factory reset + wipe cache.
Before that it was on CyanogenMod (4.2.2) and the screen was working properly.
What else can I do TT ?
I changed the front panel.
And it is working perfectly well...
How can modification to the software affect the hardware and brake the digitizer/touch function ?
via kernel man...kernel is the interface between software and hardware....
maybe a frequency or voltage got changed by kernel and something happened....no one can know for sure...

When wrong kernel is flashed, the touch sensor get disconnected and unrecongnised by the phone. Thats why the hardware is broken even though correct kernel is flashed afterwards. Best thing to do is replace the screen instead of trying over and over again.
Hope it helps
I use the Samsung GT 19305 LTE myself.
Hello,
I am using N7000 and at the moment my phone starts up;
- I can hear the bootsound,
- I can see the bootlogo but its green
- phone boots fully and works because I can receive texts, mails, etc.
So I looked around on the forum and found few things. One of the major things I came across was flash, root errrors but I haven't flashed, root or even updated it. A possible solution was to boot it correct so I followed the manual:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
But I need to find my kernel version which I can find in my phone's settings but I don't see anything its black screen. IS there other ways to find my kernel? I am using dutch phone. international model but I am not sure.
Thank you for reading.
The touchscreen does not work after the lock screen, if you restart the phone, the sensor starts to work again, but once again no longer lock. I tried a lot of firmware, such as android n and m stock, aospa, pure nexus. The problem is solved, if you put a custom kernel, but if you disable the settings core gestures (for example wake2sleep on elementalx kernel), then the problem returns. Sensor itself works well, but before the block a screen. What to do? I can not understand what the problem is. I think is not a hardware problem, because touchscreen working nice.
Android touchscreen doesn't work on twrp recovery(any version)
I don't understand what the problem is either. Can you please try explaining it again?

Touch screen dont work, if i lock the screen after rebooting (by power button). If i rebooting phone, touch will work, but if i again lock phone by power button, touch screen again dont work. This problem in all roms, and if i flash custom kernel, problem disappears. Sorry for my english.
