Yes, but its a dirty hack, that requires decompiling framework-res.apk and edit /values/bools.xml - setting the value to..
<bool name="config_screenOffAnimation">true</bool>

is there one click solution?:cyclops:

hehe, well you would need to flash a rom that has it enabled..

okay, thanks, it suits better for me, i will try some...

Hi. I never tried the framework mod "xpose". But if it is running on our Tab, you should be able to get many features as the DPI-settings, CRT-Off animation or even mutiwindow easily into every compatible rom! - seems that is mainly for the s2 phone, but compatible with android 4.1 and even 4.2. So maybe you try it!?!?
I'm short in time now, so google around for "xpose" and use following links. - I will maybe try on my own tab in the next days.

[Q] Adding Touchwiz Framework to AOSP Roms Inquiry

Hi Guys,
I just want to check if is there a way to flash touchwiz framework to an AOSP ROM for some samsung applications to work? In my SGS2 before, there is a Touchwiz.zip that can be flashed to MIUI ROM to have Touchwiz added to the actual ROM.
Thank you
I would really like to know that too.. Im really interested to try aosp rom (becouse tablet UI), but I personally doen't like aosp calendar and clock apps..
Open the ROM.zip
go to /system/apps/
insert the TouchWiz.apk in apps folder *MIND IT dont give spaces btween app names as Touch Wiz.apk it will give FC Error alwayz*
no need to remove any other launcher included over there
JUST flash this rom and BINGO.....................
Ive no idea of whether we need to fix permissions on new inserted .apk files
Take that risk PLEASE and LEMME noe if u get any errors
Is there any updates with this?

Put the TouchWiz30Launcher.apk in /system/app and other two in /system/framework and reboot and you will have touchwiz...
Important: Donot rename the files....

To make it work, you need all tw framework and its not only in those tw-framework-res but in almost all bits. And so it makes it extremely difficult to port and easy task would be to flash a tw based rom. Much easier

Hi
Thanks for the answer. What I understand is it is not impossible, just maybe not trivial.
Then I take the challenge, I'm downloading the stock rom right now to extract the same three files from it, and put them into the ProBAM ROM... we'll see

[MOD] Long Press Volume Buttons to skip songs

Yes, finally it is here!
After couple of hours of coding in smali and debugging endless boot loops it works.
Change your music tracks when your screen is off and music is playing by long pressing the volume buttons.
Update:
- New JB and ICS support
- New 500ms timeout used instead of 1sec.
- New CWM flashable zip
- New Diff available for ROM cooks
ICS: Wanam-Lite ROM 1.7
JB: Wanam-Lite ROM 4.3 (4.1.1)
Enjoy!

You need to replace your /system/framework/android.policy.jar with the one below.
I am sure the ROM chefs will be soon putting this in their new ROMs.
I used the Wanam-Lite ROM 1.6 to decompile the original android.policy.jar so if you are on some latest ROM it should work fine.
Enjoy!

This doesn't work on Omega 9 /Franco 10. Tried Poweramp and Sammy Music Player.
Changed permissions before rebooting so no problems there but long press on volume only makes the volume go up/down really quick as per stock.

ladies and gentlemen, i am an idiot.
i did not read the op properly.
this works when the screen is off.
I'm assuming this is just for Sammy roms as AOSP and AOKP already have these features built in.
I confirm that it works with Wanam 1.6.

True, only stock based ROMs shoudl be supported. CM9 and AOKP already have this feature.
I have tested it on Wanam 1.5 and Wanam 1.6 but others should be working too.
Replaced the file and changed permission. Reboot the phone and it behaves the same in Sammy player and PA. ICS lock screen is always on for PA. Long pressing up and down will only change volume for me. I am on stock ROM and kernel.
I was looking for this mod since forever..thank you thank you thank you

Actually, it's 1000ms in your version. I decompiled, changed LONG_PRESS_TIMEOUT:I to 12c and compiled again and it's working great. 12c = 300ms, which is a good value.

[GUIDE][MOD][TRICK][ICS+] Enabling Soft Keys with just adding one line to build.prop

Hey Guys! I am new here, please bare with me
I got this trick working on 2 devices of mine which weren't shipped with Soft Keys enabled :cyclops:
This is the easiest! And you don't have to edit framework-res.apk anymore :highfive:
Procedure:
Download Root Browser from Playstore
Go to System folder and open build.prop using Text Editor
Now add this line at the end of build.prop file "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"

They will work on any AOSP ROM. This mod only requires a change to the build.prop. Its adding one line to the build.prop and then rebooting. If you don;t like it then just delete the lines from the build.prop, save, reboot.
I tried it on my LG E980 CM 11, why there is still no soft-keys after the reboot, any help, please ?
EDIT: after trying the 4th time, I've got it works, thanks !

[MOD][Xposed] CRT off Animation effect for Xperia Z

For those who does not know what it is: CRT OFF ANIMATION VIDEO. it is not my video. Credits below.
For those who wants the CRT - OFF ANIMATION effect on their Xperia Z can give this a go. It worked on mine so hopefully it will work on yours. Very very simple steps. Did alot of testing with other methods, including the framework res crap, and didnt work well, and the build prop edit crap, didnt go well either. This method seems to work better.
First of all, tested on my device: Xperia Z, deodexed stock base running on 4.2.2. I do not know whether it will work for you or not. Test it out yourself.
Confirmed Working:
Xperia Z 4.2.2 Stock ROM odex and deodex

Instructions:
Do a full backup through recovery if you want, if you feel insecure.
Download XposedInstaller_2.1.4.apk and XposedTweakbox_1.4.0.apk, both by rovo89 (credits goes to him ), for extra add ons you can also try ClockColorMod_1.4.6.apk by FemBlack and hush66 for finding it
Copy and paste both files into your phone.
From your phone, navigate to settings > security > check the unknown sources.
Use root explorer or whatever and navigate to the two/three files you've downloaded and install them.
Run XposedInstaller and run "install/update", after its completed successfully, reboot your phone.
Run XposedInstaller again, click on modules in the tabs section, and check XposedTweakBox.
Run XposedTweakBox or ClockColorMod and click on CRT Effect and check CRT off effect, then reboot your phone.

[MOD][XtreStoLite] Ambient Display for XtreStoLite Marshmallow

I tried this mod ONLY on XtreStoLite for G920F model.
If you wanna test this on other carriers using same rom, please BACKUP first.
If something goes wrong, just RESTORE!
Let me be very clear: I am not responsible if your device explodes, your dog runs away, your wife leaves you for your dog, the shoe factory shuts down and
you can't get your favourite shoes anymore or anything else that may or may not happen after using this script. Please make a FULL BACKUP, possibly from TWRP. You have been warned.

Hi guys, I edited the "framework-res.apk" file of XtreStoLite ROM adding Ambient Display feature like on Nexus (Android 5.0+). Surely it works on G920F, tested personally, if you wanna try on other S6 just try yourself.
I followed this guide. Credits to him.
///INSTALL:
- Flash the zip "AmbientDisplay-vX.X"
- Reboot
///UNINSTALL:
- Flash the zip "framework_restore"
- Reboot
Simple as it looks.
///BUGS:
- Gyroscope and proximity sensor not working for ambient display
- Touchscreen not working when screen fades (have to press power or home button first)
- Screen wake animation doesn't work (no fade)
- On edge model night clock won't work
- Every 3 dot menu animation will present a sort of lag/no animation
- Not working properly with Samsung "Good Lock" UI
///DOWNLOAD:
Each version I provide will be compatible ONLY with the one I write (example: ambient v3.3 --> xtrestolite v3.3)
- v3.3 installer
- v3.3 uninstaller
- v3.3.1 installer
- v3.3.1 uninstaller

There are lots of versions of stock rom, lots of different firmwares and I can't download every single firmware for extracting, decompile and recompile framework. So I just limit this mod for XtreStoLite.
Obliviously you can try adding yourself following the guide I linked in OP.
