Flash ROM Guidelines - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

I am quite a computer geek but in relation to this topic, I like to flash my Samsung P7300 with the ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1893456, is there a Q&A section where it teaches me how to flash my P7300? Thanks

Not sure what exactly you mean. Do you want to apply a stock KK1 and then apply CF-Root? If that's the case, of course you can do it, but KK1 is now obsolete: you should upgrade to KKA instead. That is unanimously considered the most stable version yet. There is a KL3 around, but people are having problems with it.
Now the bad news: you will get flamed for posting a question in a dev-related forum. There is a Q&A section for questions, but to be honest, if I had to post a question about ROMs, here's where I would post it too. There's a sort of no man's land for general ROM-related questions (not relative to any specific ROM): you cannot post them to the Dev thread because you get flamed, and you cannot post them to the Q&A thread because you won't get any answer, since very few devs would read them. So yeah, I would risk the flaming and post them here... Just make sure you mark them as questions (as you properly did), so people can skip your post if they want to.

You need to root + install CWM into your device before flashing to another ROM of any choice that you like.

Do not post questions in Development.

which is the best kernel?

hello, which is the best kernel for galaxy s i9000?
thanks!
There's no "best kernel". You must find the one you like most.
Don't post such stupid questions in here.
its not stupid, i have a question, and i put there! if you have got question, you put there to, i have the same right like you!!!
i need a good kernel for 3g, wifi, and long battery life
thanks
İ suggest you semaphore bigmem kernel for gingerbread
devils kernel for ics
In the Forum Samsung Galaxy S exist a Section "Q&A", which means Questions & Answers
It isn't Forbidden to post your Question in this Section "General" but you know What I & the Buddy "dark_knight35" mean
For you and other Newbies pls Search before you post a already posted Thread
_______
Mmmm, do a search before because there are plenty of topics like this. I dont mind, but others seem to take it as personal offence if you ask questions as basic as this, and it is a little hassle in fairness.
Anyway; i'd read this thread, it's a fantastic guide for Kernels and roms on the SGS.
And if you're after my personal opinion, semaphore seems the way to go. but read that thread first!!

lol thread has been moved it was in dev section first!
Depends if you want to go for CM or Stock.
If you want to go for stock, then flash the non bootloader ROM via Odin. Otherwise flash a custom recovery via Odin and install a CM7 based ROM.

Trying to install originial firmware but enters recovery

Fixed!
Hey,
You're posting this in the wrong section. Please go to the Q&A Section of this forum. However the only way to update is to unroot your phone and to update it or flash a stock ROM from the android development section from either Baadnewz or another person.
Happy Flashing from the proud owner of a HTC One.

[Q] GT-19305 confusion

Hi everyone i know everybody is probably sick of answering newbs question but i think i have read myself
into a state of confusion,I would really appreciate some help with a few questions
1.Easiest way to root the GT-19305
2.Does rooting my phone effect knox or is it flashing that effects knox
3.disable knox and flash custom roms?
4.If i flash the new German rom kitkat XXUFNI3 will it make it easier in the future to root or harder, using towelroot etc
basically would it be better to root after going to kitkat or before?

No, you posted in the i9300 section.

Oh sorry, I was on my phone when I replied to that and I assumed you were the OP so my bad.
Because they are both an s3 but the i9305 has lte where the i9300 so they have been lumpt in the same section but then seperated with a i9300 q&a and a i9305 q&a threads. Most only see the i9300 as its second hence why we get alot of i9305 questions in the i9300.
I don't visit the i9305 q&a so I have no Idea if there is alot of i9300 people in there.
Report there posts and get them moved to the i9300 area if you like.
If someone could just post the link for the best way to install recovery on 4.3 would be nice... Because i always end up with stock recovery
Apologies again for posting in the wrong area,
but this thread seems to have gone completely off topic, I would have thought that with all the debating about placement of my thread that at least one of my questions might have been answered
JUST A THOUGHT
