[Q] Mp3s stop working for playback and ringtones

I had stock xxjpy firmware and my phone started ringing with no ringtone so I tried to play the ringtone and a message came up that sound file is not supported. I rhen tried playing any mp3 file and they would not play. I downloaded the rescan media app to force the phone to scan media afain and this seems to fix it.
It doesnt matter where the mp3 files are stored, they dont play all the time. This means i get missed calls as the mp3 ringtone doesnt play :-(
I did a factory reset and flashed the firmware up to the jan 2011 european firmware and then restored my user apps and data with titanium but this hasnt helped!!!
Has anyone else got this problem? It seems to be an intermittent issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also got the problem, and all my mp3's are listed double. Anyone has a clue how to fix this?
Edit: Simple reboot fixed the problem for me. If it reoccurs I wil let you guys know.

I keep experiencing this on a stock Froyo 2.2.1. Reboot solves it but there is no guarantee it won't stop again after a while.
I've found that mp4 and m4a files stop playing too and YouTube videos play but with no sound. Wave files appear to be unaffected and will play when the others are rendered mute

I so with my Galaxy S. I have ROM Darky 9.5.XWJS8 500Hz with kernel Speedmod K13E 500hz.
When he feels like it fails to recognize the .MP3 and stop working to play on mediaplayer and Miui Music, as if I have the ringtone or alarm.
When reboots the SGS turns to play OK, but stop again after a while... I don't understand why.

[Q] Issue with Music/Videoplayer when receiving a Call or Notification

I'm not sure if I'm the only one facing this problems but I think this is firmware problem:
Happens when the phone is not set to "vibrate" and the original Headset (with the mic and one button) is plugged in.
MusicPlayer
If the original Musicplayer is on "pause" and I receive a notification or a call it goes to "play" & random after playing the notification-sound (or the call).​
Video Player
Receiving a Call/Notification while watching a movie with the stock Video-Player and heatset on the Movie goes to "pause" but after reopening the Videoplayer the Movie start at 00:00:00 again. Have to seach were I was...​
Had the same problem with V10c. I did get an update to the V10d last week. I'm on Stock ROM, Unrooted.
Is anyone else facing the same problem?
Can this be fixed?
Will the firmware update to V10S bring any improvement in this area?

low microphone sound on video record

Hi,i have virtually no sound when i record video,i have tried different roms also flashed back to stock with no success.Sound can only be heard from the recorded video only when i put the phone to my ear.I was beginning to think that the mic is faulty but when i record using the voice recorder app the playback is much better to the point where i can hear it holding the phone at arms length.

Which roms did you try? I'm using a CM 7.2 KANG with IronKernel and I didn't have that problem before...

Tried a few over the last 12 months including cm7 204,modaco,thanatos,been on topogigi v2.0 with horse power 2x sr and pp9 lite for the last couple of months,also tried different kernals,basebands,rils ,Camera app is the modded app by andicp.Is there no setting anywhere for the microphone in the hidden settings that can be tweaked?Microphone must still be working ok if i am getting good recordings on Voice recorder.

Well i installed the rebuild of gingerbread leak v20o rom so the camera was back to stock and i have sound back on video recordWould of liked it a bit louder but any sound is better than none
Does anybody know how to get rid of the video record jingle,tried renaming videorecord.ogg to old in the system/media/audio/ui folder but the jingle sound is still there.
Done the same for the power on/off jingle but this worked

Good for you! Unfortunately I don't know how to get rid of that...

[Q] ICS stock music player weird sound

I have problem with Equaliser and Sound effect of stock music player after updating to ICS. When I change equaliser from Normal to whatever rock or pop, the quality of music sound is so bad. i don't know how explain but the sound seem like the radio sound when there is no frequency detected. Equaliser and Sound effect work as normal until I restart my S2 and one day later it have problem again. I already tried to restore factory setting but didn't help. Can someone have any idea how to fix my problem please?

Phone's Speaker is Dead after playing Youtube From browser

Hello Friends.
Yesterday, I was on Google play.
Saw new game as "where my perry ?" and I played demo video from it.
Then it opened in browser and in middle of video, my speaker volume is gone.
Now phone not giving any sound form speaker.
I tried several player.
Also media volume is full.

Using CM7 Temasek Kang with Etana Stable.
.
Is this software bug or my speaker is realy dead (Hardware Problem) ?
Tried Data Reset, Reflash etc..

check it form the hidden menu which is 1809#*990# - LG Optimus Engineering menu...there should be a menu to test each hardware items...check it to find out
