64GB stick - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

Hi,
I got a 64GB USB stick from work. Is this not supported by the 8.9 tab? I get a "Can't mount message", if I format to another format I get: "USB stick is corrupt"...
My smaller sticks work normal.

Solution found here: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm

Pendrive support issue.............

Hey guyz... i have an issue ...need ur suggestions.
I bought the OTG cable to use my 8gb PENDRIVE... Manufacturer: KINGSTON.
But unfortunately when i attach the usb after some time it says USB already remove...
I also tried after formatting the usb using the FAT32 + NTFS option but the problem remains the same.
On the other hand i tried to connect HP 4gb and no problem occurs with them....
I also tried to check it with h2testw no issues reported.
I also used the software Paragon NTFS & HF from play store.. ISsues are the following attached images.

It might be a compatibility issue with the Kingston pendrive.
Previously saw a forum posting saying Android OTG is more compatible with FAT32 pendrive.
First time hearing FAT32 + NTFS option.
1) You can try to use Windows to format the Kingston pendrive to FAT32 format.
2) Or use App SanDisk Memory Zone to format the Kingston pendrive.

3) Sony is going to sell a new 2 in 1 flash drive, you might want to consider getting it

It's have two partitions? Then is that the problem.

I also contacted the Kingston customer support... They are saying that all usb's are standard and not OTG supported so far.. .So no use of discussion... But still if got any solutions then let me knw.. Thanks in advance...

Galaxy Tab S Micro SD

Hi there, wonder if anyone can help me with this issue that I'm experiencing.
Purchased a 128gb micro sd from ebay, think the brand is ADATA. My tab isnt letting me write any files to it using the stock my files app, it feels I've exhausted all of my options I've tried:
Formatting to fat32 - unsucsessful
Restoring device - unsucsessful
Rooting device and using the sd fix - unsucsessful
unmount and remounted - unsucsessful
After a format it sometimes allows me to copy one file to it, I then attempt to copy another file and it displays an error message saying failed.
I don't think it's an issue with the card itself as it works perfectly in my nokia lumia and works fine when writing files on my laptop. Starting to think maybe it just isn't compatible at all with my tab s. Anyway I've ordered a 32gb samsung micro sd so hopefully this one works. In the meantime has anybody got any ideas what it could be?
Any help would be appreciated.

Corsair flash voyager go 64gb otg format issues

I reformatted the otg drive above (big mistake) on my note 4 and everything seemed good until I noticed my Samsung TV no longer recognized the usb and wasn't showing up in source list. I reformatted the otg on windows to ntfs and Samsung recognized it but then note 4 said empty or unsupported and said I need to format. So it appears note 4 formated it in exfat but TV doesn't recognize. According to otg specs it default was exfat. Something is off because otg worked fine on TV and note 4 before I formatted it on the note. Any suggestions?
Well if you don't need file sizes larger than 4gb just format it as fat32.
The HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool should do the trick....
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/HP-USB-Disk-Storage-Format-Tool.shtml
Or if you need large file sizes, ntfs is faster as well, format it as ntfs and get StickMount on your phone.

Either way it should get you up an running again.

OTG Storage

Has anyone tried using a USB micro to transfer files I bought a 64gb dual usb SanDisk drive for my phone that I can carry with me but I can't get it to work. It shows that it's there in storage and highlights the mount usb drive but does nothing when clicked. If anyone has used something like this please share what you are using so I can transfer my files so I can work off that OTG Storage thanks.
what file browser are you using?

use ES File manager
u can transfer all files u want from phone to usb storage o viceversa
Thanks
I got it to work had to change the flash drives exfat format to an 32fat, once I did that it worked.
I have this same problem with my 64gb Sandisc micro usb.
It highlights the mount in storage settings but does nothing.
Can you specify how you formatted the 64gb drive to 32 gb? As far as I know fat32 does not recognize any size larger than 32gb?
As far as the file managers being used they should be obsolete because if you cannot even mount the drive nothing will recognize it.
I bought 2 flash drives and have 4 Turbos with all having the same results. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know.
Thanks,

Try browsing to /storage/usbdisk in Explorer free.
64 GB (fat32) should work, works fine on old Maxx.

He wasn't talking about formatting from 64GB to 32GB (storage space), it's the FILE SYSTEM (NTFS, FAT32, EXFAT) he changed.

Which OS are you running? Did you try a different USB drive/OTG cable?
In Lollipop 5.1, it automatically mounts USB and you can access it in file manager (I use ES).

I am using cm 12.1 official and USB drive. I tried my friends usb drive its working .the only problem is with mines only.
And that also i done clean formatted with fat32 so many times still it is not able to detect in phone but it is working in pc perfectly...
That's very strange. Could you please try a full format to NTFS?
And what is the capacity of the USB drive?

i tried that also but no use.. And pendrive is sandisk ultra 16gb dual
I believe there is some problem with your dual USB drive. I have Sandisk Ultra dual 64GB and mine works fine (I own Moto G 2nd gen, but there are not much hardware differences in 1st and 2nd gen). If it is in warranty, maybe you should go for replacement.
