Are you able to get in download mode?
If so, flash Odin KK4 with bootloaders. From there, you can flash Corn kernel with Odin 1.85 and finally get back to the ROM you want.
If you can't get in download mode at all. Then you might need AdamOutler's help with JTAG/riftbox.

Thanks for your response. I'm having no luck with turning it on right now. ATT bootlogo doesn't even show up. Got some screen saying something about modems to flash for about half a second but that hasn't happened again.

So I'm pretty sure this isn't important to anyone else but me, but I managed to get it to boot into download mode again after being bricked. Not sure how/why it happened, but I'll take it.

[Q] hero bootloop cyanogen 6 & N1 gapps

help?
I successfully rooted and added the CyanogenMod 6.0.0 to my htc hero. It seemed to be working fine, but without any Gapps. I then attempted to add N1gapps and now am in an endless cyanogen screen - stuck. I know I screwed up, I'm new to this stuff, though experienced with computers. I have tried reinstalling, including deleting the N1gapps from my sdcard and redownloading the cyangoenmod 6.0.0 I used the Universal Android app to root and Rom manager.
I don't know what to try next.
Update: I had the good sense to back up before I did the change, so I reverted to the original and reinstalled.. successfully. Now I'm just a little hesitant to jump in and screw something up again. From what I've read, I should get GApps as;
gapps-mdpi-20100917-signed.zip
Is that correct?
Also, having read for the last 4 hours or so, I apologize if this is posted in the wrong spot, and for my lack of such knowledge.
Yea flash that one and you should b good to go & remember always nandroid backup good luck oh and u might wanna take that backup and make a copy and put it on your computer so you'll always have it

success! thanks for the assist. One maybe odd thing.. when I installed ROM manager and tried to reboot, pressing the power/home key didn't work for me, I found pressing the power/volume down key works.
That could b the recovery ur using although I'm not 100% sure but I use RA 1.6 try reflashing your recovery or try RA good luck

Well I would definitely try Clockwork, because from what I understand, it does the best job of wiping. In the worst case scenario, you may just need to get your N1 back to stock and retry from there if you wish.
Would you be able to post up some links? ?....my wife is still pretty pissed lol....

lol, I imagine..
A quick google search got me this as far as stock ROMs go: http://android.modaco.com/content/g...es-zip-online-kitchen-optional-root-insecure/
(keep in mind I don't have an N1, so I'm not an expert at it by any means when it comes to ROMs, etc. Speaking of, if you haven't already, you might want to post about this in the N1 forums here on xda. Obviously they'll know about your problem than me.)
Once you have the rock ROM and you're rooted, download ROM Manager from the market to get the Clockwork Recovery.

Ok, I did what you said, now it just goes to 'logo_ql.jpg' draw failed. It also wont let me get back into download mode, it just goes to this message. now what?
EDIT, nevermind, got it into download mode... guess i just need to keep trying different roms to figure out which one works?
You said your note came from repair and it was on download mode. I think it was NOT REPAIRED AT ALL. Country or region has nothing to do with manual flashing. You only need region when using kies to update.

Tbere is no need to try different roms as every rom is like same. Not much difference. Maybe your device is hard bricked and writing isn't possible. Get your motherboard replaced.

EDIT: nevermind! got it! just had to use the stock recovery to wipe the data partitiopn and now my note is working great! thanks for your guys help!!

Don't ever wipe using stock ICS kernel. It will hard brick your device. I think now already got affected. Flash a safe kernel first then wipe.

So I have a question. I had tried rooting my device and it failed into a soft brick. Previously I had jzo54k on there. Using Odin I installed the Poland software but it seemed to have failed because now I am not able to register on a network. I have an international version of the Note 2 that I am using in the US. Since I am not able to connect to a network I am lost as to what to try. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Hi
My stock JB official unrooted rom suddenly went to a bootloop. I looked up online for solutions and flashed an official JB ROM for my phone and Odin failed to flash it. I tried Philz recovery but Odin failed to flash it. I got a yellow triangle which I was able to removie through Odin. Currently my phone is stuck on the splash screen. Recovery doesn't work. Odin fails when I try to reflash with a md5.tar file. Please experts help me with my problem. would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback.
At the moment I'm flashing GB using Odin 1.85. It's not failing it's stuck on factoryfs.img, Ive been gone for 2 hours and still on factoryfs!
Did you perform a wipe while on the rooted ICS ?
It sounds like a probable brick..
Seems higher chances of bricked
If you have device under warranty, then claim it, otherwise

Anf yes loss of 3gb is not problem, but indeed it is solution to ur problem, sector which was damaged has to be block. Yes if you have claimed warranty you may have not have it.

If you can't get into recovery or download mode you might be in a bit of a pickle. Recently did that to my GS3 and I had to send it back to Samsung. I would find and try a USB Jig first, that might get you into download mode so you can use Odin to flash stock firmware back onto the phone. Just do a google search for Samsung USB Jig.
Thank you for your advise:thumbup:lol
That is only way to unbricking the phone?

Well that is the way you can do it, if the USB Jig gets you into download mode. If it doesn't, then you can have it JTaged. There are companies out there that offer JTag Service for some fee. Can't remember now but like 60-70 bucks maybe. Again, I'm sure it's just a google search away. Other than those two options I don't know if anything else, besides sending it back for warranty replacement.
Make a JIG, its' super easy. I made one to fix a friends Galaxy S2.

[Q] Verizon SCH-i800 Bricked with back light off

Hi Guys!
Two days ago i tryed to replace the kernel of my SCH-i800 using ODIN and now it is apparently briked.
It is able to go to download mode and since then i am trying to flash lots of ROMs, kernels, PIT etc.
Some times, depending of the ROM I use to flash, it can boot, but the screen is black, like if the back light is turned off. I can either interact with the capacitive screen, but I can't see anything. Is is the closest i could get a unbricking.
Probably it can enter in recovery mode, but I can not interact with the menus because is completely black.
Someone could help me? Someone had the same issue and know what is happening with the back light?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Priyana, but I already tried this method before and it did not work.
I think that it is a problem with the bootloader files, but i cant find a link with the complete rom with the bootloader files.
Could you help me?
Unfortunately I don't have enough resources for CDMA tabs.
Yeah, you maybe need a complete ROM.
But since you can enter download mode, I would hazard a guess that your bootloader is intact.
