Hey guys, here we go.
Here you get the first publicly released pure V30B with CWM support.
I only added support for CWM. (huge thanks to rmcc for this!)
I tried to keep it as pure, as I can, since I guess everyone like other customizations.
Add and delete everything you want.
I know this is then not going to be the fastest ROM, but from this on, you can tweak your phone to the limit.
This is probably going to be my first and last FULL ROM.
After this I'll only try to fix kernel bugs, battery, RAM consumption,...
I really wanna give credits to Redy2006 and more important gabwerkz, since they tought me pretty much and helped me, to get to this point, where I am able to release my own ROM. Special thanks to gabwerkz, for helping me out in this kernel matter, since I simply wouldnt have been able to get it done without him. Also huge thanks to navossoc and xonar_ for the extract tools, cause otherwise stuff like this would be so much more work. Also thanks to Ricardo Cerqueira, cause without his coding knowledge, I am not sure, if we were able to bypass LG's security features.
Oh and one more person: chainfire for his superuser app and binary.

DOWNLOAD LINKS:
GPS fixed version of EUROPE OPEN. It's a whole new attempt, by simply using the system.img. Only SU is added. Flash baseband Europe open, or another v30b baseband, that suits you best. GPS should work for all now!

Flash instructions
CASE A
If your on v30b official, you have to flash a patched v20(bin file is enough, so you keep the new baseband), reboot to recovery and flash it like any other ROM. Full wipe is recommended. If you dont do a full wipe (data, cache and dalvik), I dont guarantee for it to fully work!
CASE B
If your on a ROM with CWM (like CM, a rooted v20, Zeus, any other custom ROM), just reboot to recovery, do a full wipe and flash my ROM.
Mirrors are allowed and welcome, but please contact me shortly, before you post one And if you mirror, make sure the MD5 checksum is correct!
FULL WIPE RECOMMENDED! I do not guarantee, it will work without!
And as always, if you brick your device, it's not my fault & your guarantee is now void
Btw dont worry, at startup menu key will be without light, but this will disappear after a couple of seconds

KERNELS
I got 2 kernels ready. 1 includes the blue LEDs, but has the reboot bug. Which means, if you turn off LEDs completely and reboot, they will keep on flashing, until you turned it on and off again.

Then there is another one, for those who wanna keep their LEDs turned off. It is still the white version. But since you dont use the LEDs at all, you probably wont notice

This pack contains the .fls file of V30B GER, but the baseband is the same in all versions AFAIK, so you all should be able to use it. And also included is the SmartFlashTool.

Well can there be a tool just like kdz convertor which would automatically integrate the modified kernel or bootloader so that we can flash our regional version thus won't have any baseband issue....? would be really helpful!

You can simply flash your own baseband using smartflash. Just flash the .fls file and your good to go. I already said on the v30b thread in general section, that I ll probably add a baseband flasher here

I know it's a design choice, but I ll also provide the alternative with blue LED, cause I personally like it better.
About battery, well I think it could be better and RAM as well, but for now it's the same, as stock ICS.

well, if you managed to make a "fix" or "update pack" please, please dont make it as entire ROM, just make flasable zip that cintain file to replace/kernel. at least, I dont need to download thw whole ROM agan

How can I flash tha v30b BB because i flashed this FW with this method:
1. Flash via SmartFlashTool the v20O (this is an edited v20o with CWM)
2. from recovery flash the v30b repack (this fw)
after thet in the version info i see this:
(factory version is v20o)
The question is:
How can i flash this v30b, if i want the v30b baseband for it?

If you want some removed apps back edit my paysscript.sh script in the zip file.
You just have to remove the lines of the apps you want to keep.
And if you want to remove even more apps feel free to add some lines more to it. You don't have to sign it
Don't try to set up a Facebook account or other SNS accounts, I removed that because there are much better clients, but still shows the option in the Setup Wizard, simply skip there. If you want to use SNS, just delete the SNS lines in paysscript.sh.
If a app FCs first check if you wiped correctly, second option go into the settings manager -> application -> and delete data of that app, try again.
If there is still a error please report.

You can go to step 4 if you already flashed a fresh 10b open, rooted and installed clockwork recovery or have Pays-ROM v1.0 or higher.
You should know this before: How to Flash
1.) If you come from any other firmware or ROM be sure to flash the v10b LG Europe Open firmware, and do a system restore afterwards.
2.) Enable ADB in the settings and root your device with GingerBreak
3.) Install Clockwork Recovery for Optimus Black
4.) Put the ROM.zip to your SD Root and boot into clockwork recovery (e.g. using Anreboot)
5.) Fully wipe your phone in the recovery mode (wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats)
6.) Flash the ZIP + reboot and enjoy
7.) If you like it donate (even 1 dollars are welcome)!

I agree and by the way, you're welcome for using the init.d scripts on Nova. Which by the way, are broken and are not working. Unfortunately I forgot a detail and they aren't active. I'll fix it in Nova soon. You can't also use the mount one because your ROM isn't ext4. But it was a good effort anyway.

By the way I don't use the ext4 mount you use
With the init.d scripts I know that they do not much atm, but I let them in for future editing else I will forget them.
They don't affect the ROM and thats why I didn't mentioned them yet in the features above.
I did not took so a close look at Nova but I saw you mentioned that you are working on a custom kernel.
Is there any progress?

You can try to flash directly, but do a wipe before, maybe you have to do a factory reset from the menu after flashing, too.
But this is the dirty way, tell me if this works for you.
I only guarantee for the clean and right way .
So when I flashed Nova, it was the “dirty“ way too ? Lol.

Thanks for mirror. I couldn't connect to wifi neither (Error when activating), so I tried flashing the experimental kernel from NOVA (Noejn). Wifi works great now, although I don't know the bad side of having this kernel.

Nova kernel is still very experimental.
Like I said, when I have more time I'll start from scratch and work on it properly.
By the way PaY87, this ROM is using the kernel I compiled for Nova correct?

Howdy folks, if you have been keeping up with this thread since page one, you will have noticed that I myself have been working on a port of Jetpack 5.2
After hours of googling and following instructions using dsixda's Android Kitchen, I have cobbled together a booting, non-FCing, rather nice rom. Smooth and sexy even. But, some prerequisites before getting your flash-happy mitts on it;
- Must be on GB Bootloaders. Otherwise, expect rainbows in the dark
- This port is based off of 5.2 No-Wipe. Therefore you must wipe data/cache/dalvik on your own before flashing.
- The kernel is Bullet JVP 1.2GHz (6/24/11 revision)
- After flashing, do not reboot yet. You must apply the Wififix.zip to fix the JVS broken wifi.
- And as a personal note, I like to top off my flashing session with Juwe's RAM Optimization Script
- And 1 dose of Fix Permissions
- Reboot, I suppose let'er sit for 10 minutes, and reboot again. Enjoy the smoothess.

If you have Gingerbread Bootloaders installed and you end up ODINing to stock (JFD), you will notice it changes the bootsplash to I9000. You can either reflash a GB bootloader again, or simply use the ODIN package above to do so.
- Root your phone and install cwm
- Then wipe data/cache/dalvik
- Flash Jetpack.5.2.Vibrant.test.zip
- Flash Wififix.zip
- Fix Permissions
- Reboot
- After 10 minutes, reboot again
EDIT: (Currently, I have discovered that only Youtube and Flash need a delete/reboot sequence for proper installs) It seems that the Gapps suite was not signed correctly, and thus will not update normally from the market. What you can do is open up /system/app in Root Explorer, delete the Gapps, then reboot and download them manually from the market.
Now then, I do not intend to take away kevho00's thunder with this, but I am just posting my own working port until he gets the chance to tweak this port for better out-of-the-box performance.
Though if kevho00's uploading problems persist, with his graces I wouldn't mind taking up the mantle of temporary port caretaker. I do what I can for the community I love.

Okay thanks. I have found that when I'm on talon then load a rom with bullet, i lose the kernel and visa versa... So time to load bullet.... Outside of the gps issues it is an amazing kernel

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

Go to Settings, System, Font size, set it to NORMAL
If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...

Okay sorry for this, the siyah kernel is used by the I9100 rom but it's not used in this rom, I will delete this line right now (I copied from the original thread that's why it's written)
But I can garanty you won't brick your phone as I'm using this rom right now on my I9100G

I used the 20120618 nightly from I9100G, again I didn't edit the thread enough, thank you for the notice
On CM9 my SGS2G is not able to play sound (Music or speech commands of my navigation app) properly while GPS is searching a signal. It is always interupting. Could someone please check if this issue is fixed on this ROM?

It's best if you do factory reset after flashing a new rom to avoid complications.
OT : I'll be testing this thoroughly and will report bugs for you.

Unfortunately, thehope was unable to continue development of AtrICS.
So Team Hope was created to step in to help deliver what you were denied: A beautiful stock ICS experience.
This ROM is pure stock and fully Blured: nothing added and nothing removed. We intend to keep it that way.
Please don't ask for battery mods, quick panels, track skipping with the volume rocker, etc.
In time, mods will appear in the themes and apps section.
All members of Team Hope each have their own projects. This means updates may not come as frequently as you would like.
Please be patient. The team will do it's best to fix as many major problems as possible.
Some problems, if hardware related, may not be fixable within a reasonable time frame (sorry).
In the mean time, enjoy the gift we were given.

Since both ROMs are closely related, it would be helpful to continue to use it for bug reports and fixes.
Providing logcats would be very helpful, but please be judicious. Posting a 10 page logcat is not very helpful.
Editing to remove non-error related processes will make the logcat much more useful. Logcats in color are the most helpful.
Post edited logcats but please save the orignal. You can even do it on your phone with aLogcat (Play Store).

thanks but no... only reason to use stock is for webtop and i guess it still doesn't work properly.. i shall wait for a deblured mod with all the goodies (including battery life mods) instead of having to look for them elsewhere
International users note you need to flash ramfix after flash of v2.
Smart actions works pity they don't have any more volume actions other than ringer volume!
Will report back after a few days of use. At face value not noticed anything yet other than smart actions working (I don't use the stock launcher).

For some users, myself included, deep sleep = SOD. I will post instructions to re-enable for those that want it.

Secondly, I would like to thank all people who gave me support, encourage and advise. Under your help, HydraCore has became a really universal and almost perfect kernel.
In this new thread, the legendary Universal Kernel has a new name -- HydraCoreNirvana. I think the word Nirvana can tell the story of HydraCore. With the new name, the kernel steped onto a new stage -- bootable on JB leaks. It is not fully functional, but it is a good beginning.
I have to say that I am not a dev. And I am another Child's Slave who use lavatory time as off hours. I really don’t know how far I can go on this. So please, forgive me if someday I got stuck and be absent like Gavin.

For a long time I kept absent. I really found it hard to go on especially after the CM team upgraded the Mali driver. I am not the right guy to do the library job. So I switched to Samsung Opensource codes.
The first thing I did was building the Speedmod. I succussed. Meanwhile I made a build with Speedmod kernel image and PhilZ touch recovery initramfs. These builds worked fine with new released TouchWiz Jelly Beans. However, the CM code is going away with the Samsung Opensource codes. There are too many differences between them. The HOME button key issue was one result of this. It is harder and harder to combine CM and TouchWiz in one kernel. It is not just an universal initramfs, the kernel image itself needs to be universalized.
So I have to make a lamentable decision that from now on, I will stick with Samsung Opensource codes. So TouchWiz Jelly Beans will be supported prior to CM and other AOSP roms which have good enough kernels. Legacy features of HydraCore will be transplanted to the new builds one by one with careful test. CM and other AOSP roms maybe bootable with the new builds, but the functionality will not be guaranteed.
At last, thank you all for your long time support. I will keep on building this kernel and try my best to keep it Hydra for everyone. But for now, I can only step on one side, and I choose TouchWiz.

Usage:
Place the ZIP in the TF card.
Root the phone: If you and if you are sure that you have a safe kernel with CWM jume to next. If you phone is unrooted, Flash the TAR version in Odin to get Root and CWM.
Now you may meet bootloop, Press UP + HOME + POWER until you see the CWM interface. (the phone will never boot to the system with a stock rom flashed a TAR version)
Flash the ZIP in CWM.

Bootloop/Freeze/..., help!: please be concrete, I can not answer questions simple like this.
Possible reasons of Black Screen: From n9, standalong Mali libraries are located in the zip. Try to use the zip package. It might fix the problem.
Possible reasons of Bootloop:
Please check your rom type see whether your rom is supported.
Another reason is the unsuppored modules. Look in to /system/lib/modules if it exist. And delete dhd.ko, j4fs.ko, scsi_wait_scan.ko and Si4709_driver.ko if they exist. Deleting dhd.ko may also fix WIFI problem.
Possible reasons of Lag: Check the governor and IO settings. Or maybe just clean the RAM. At last, reboot.
Possible reasons of Freeze: Usually happens after a heavy load work. Try to reboot. Reboot usually works.

I build this JB support with Ultimate XXLSA, should be OK with XXLSC. But please be in mind that it is experimental. AFAIK the camera service has problem.
