flashed clockwork recovery for Optimus 2x on the Optimus black

I`ve flashed the clockwork mode for the Optimus 2x on the Optimus Black and now the phone is stucked on the LG logo and nothing works (like hard reset - I`ve tried vol down button + power; and vol down button + home + power and nothing happens) any ideas what should I do?

Reflash stock rom when its available.

This, unfortunately.
You are completely boned until someone finds and hosts a complete stock ROM. In fact, you're probably best off just taking it back and playing dumb.

i`ll try getting it back to provider and complain but if that doesn`t work, how to flash a stock rom (when available) if i can`t enter recovery mode and phone isn`t starting up ...

Smartflash will hopefully be available on the phone (turn it off, pull the battery, hold vol down and plug in the USB cable, if you're lucky it'll say something about software update on the screen)

I`m not that lucky...i did what you`ve suggested but only the LG Logo appears. thanks for you`r quick response

I've flashed many ROMs, but today decided to use ROM Manager, it update ClockWorkMod Recovery, but then when I try to go in recovery, only stuck at LG logo!!!
Now, can't get into recovery or boot loader... phone looks bricked!?
Did you find a solution to this problem or returned the phone for servicing???

I`ve returned the phone for servicing...I`m still waiting to get it back. I`m guessing they`ll send me another device...

Well sorry for you... but in case, I found this link here that explains how to recover using NVflash, if this still works.
You have to press vol up+down while plugging into the USB, then you get dark screen on the phone and a new hardware on Windows! That worked great!
Hope it helps anyone in this bad situation!

anyway...I just find out that i`ll get my phone on wednesday.

I'm afraid you need to reflash it using smartflash for p970, you need the .bin file to do that. Someone made it available for p990 so if your lucky someone must have uploaded also for p970.

Bricked p970

Hellow!
Today i have a Custom Rom to my Black.
But when i flash this, and press reboot in CWM the mobile turn of, and never never can turn on again.
I tried presisng vol. Up, but doesn't working.
Any ideas?

are you sure that ROM is for the Optimus Black? where did you get it from?

Is a SuperTeam ROM.
but in other way.. rom's can't kill mobiles...

No wonder it's not booting, you flashed a ROM that is not adjusted to P970.
I suggest you follow the repair tutorial (connect USB while holding volume up and without battery - you don't need the power button).
It should work. If it doesn't, well, you should go switch it at the store.

This rom is maked to p970! I'm SURE!

Other problem, for understand this.
Now when plug USB / AC to my black, doesn't appear battery caharging image, screen is black, and twho hours ago when y conect mobile(turned off) in screen apears a battery, but not now.
Now, you understrand more?

The ROM is made for P970 but it's not adjusted to it.
There's a difference.

It is very strange. Are you sure that you're doing it right? It is so easy.. Remove the battery, but don't insert it again. Without the battery you press vol up button and connect the computer to the device at the same time you press it.. You'll see s/w update screen

It's bricked mate, you have to switch it.

You don't have to have the battery out to do this.
I bricked my phone by accidently uninstalling the launcher without having another and i did this method with the battery in and it worked fine. You have to have the LG Mobile software installed though.

I accidentally uninstalled the launcher as well. And the phone is bricked. Did i happen to find a solution to that ?

Hi, first of all I must say that I never used any custom rom or flushed my phone yet. I still use the stock rom provided by LG. So I was typing a text a message today and suddenly phone locked and I couldn't do anything. I clicked power button and pressed again to get the main screen but some part of the screen was total black and some part was just fine(still I can't do anything btw). So I just pressed power button longer to close; I could close it but then when I tried to boot, I just got stuck at LG logo and it's still the same(30 minutes passed!!!). How about that? What should I do?

my advice alhough i have not worked with lg phones would be to reinstall the stock rom. i am unsure from your post if you were using a custom rom when this happened when you bot the phone if its like the htc phones you can hold the voldown and power buttons to get into what is essentially the bios of the phone i hope this helps

Then, connect the phone to the usb in a windows computer.
Run the LGMobile Update tool.
Go to the menu Customer Support/Recovery Phone
Follow the instructions there.

I connected the device via USB and opened the Recovery Mode in lg mobile update tool, but it doesn't recognize my device. I already installed usb drivers and they were working correctly couple of days ago. What else I could do? Any help would be appreciated...

Well, it seems like I have to do one, because I fell that it'll never come back so where should I begin for a hard reset?

Remove battery
Put it back
Hold Volume Up.
While holding, plug in USB cable to computer.
Your screen should say S/W Upgrade.
Run LGMobile Update.
Customer Support/Recovery Phone.

I did exactly what you said. It could successfully update the phone, it's still stuck at lg boot logo. So the next thing I should do is a hard reset?

After what you did, it could take a few minutes to start, that is normal after rom changes.
I'm not aware of a 'hard reset' for the P970, beyond what you did.
I think this could be an indication of a hardware failure.

HTC Hero (Sprint) CDMA - Help need! No power

Hello dear all,
Yesterday i installed CyanogenMod 7.2 on my HTC Hero (Sprint) CDMA. - It was awesome and worked great!
and today, i wanted to update my radio. I just found it from my folder. (It was downloaded some days ago)
I copied the file (update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26-signed) to SD card root and reboted my phone with recovery.
Installed from sd card and it just stucked while updating radio.
So i waited so long and nothing happens.
Then i put my battery out and inserted it.
Tried to power on the device but NO POWER ON. Even no power on LED when it connected to charger.
I just want to mention that IT WONT WORK IF I PRESS (VOL DOWN + POWER/ HOME + POWER/ MENU + POWER/ VOL DOWN + GREEN + POWER )
When i press Power button + VOL UP, it vibrates 3 times
What can i do to get my phone back to normal?
Please help me.

Hold volume button down and then press power button. This should load fastboot and allow you to either install stock image if loaded on sdcard or get into recovery menu.

No buddy, FAST BOOT or HBOOT doesn't start.. even no vibration or power up.

Looks like you flashed a "hero," not a "heroc" radio? They always say the only way to really brick your hero is to mess up flashing a radio :/

Unfortunately not, without hand flashing equipment and a bit of engineering knowledge your phone is a brick. There is no way to recover it.

[problem] recovery mode lg p970

hi everyone ,
problem getting into recovery mode . i'm tryng to install cm 10.1 from ics
first i have lg p970 running ics , rooted , clockworkmod recovery installed .
after pressing volume down + power button together or pressing g key nothing gets me into recovery mode .
ps. i tried rebooting from rom manger " reboot into recovery " i got my phone frozen with " security error "
i used smart flash tool to get it repaired again .
any help plz !!!!

you can't have CWM on official v30.There is some workaround , but there is an easy way.Flash v20 patched with CWM and then install CM10.1 or other custom rom

Yes this might fix my troubles too, i kept going back to stock v10 then i used the lg updater for both updates till i was at v30 and then installed cwm. All the times i kept getting that stupid security error..
how stupid :') i also didnt read anywhere about it?? thanks for the reply tho.
I got the job done using a flashed v20 to get into CWM and flashed other rom from there.. Thanks

can't boot into sw update mode
Hi.
I installed CWM on my LG with official v30C rom.
When i tried to do a backup I got a black screen with LG logo that says security error.
Now I my phone does't boot.
When I press power button i get the same black screen and the phone turns off after a few seconds.
Any advices how to unbrick my phone?

use smart flash tool and flash v20 with Cwm then do any thing u want the black screen happend becouz our Ics still bootloader locked but not 100% there is a way to unlock it but dangerous if ur ob bricked willnot back to live again...!!

I cannot boot into sw update mode - i removed the batery and connected the usb cable, pressed power+ vol down and nothing happens.
With the battery on, even if I press power + vol down it doesn't enter sw update mode - i get the error message and it then turns off.
SmartFlash doesn't detect the device so I cannot flash another ROM.
Im NOOB at this, so maybe I'm missing something.
