PLease help!
I would like to install mobilevoip (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/store/app/mobilevoip/4b71bdeb-8df6-444f-a611-33b58e205efd) on my HTC HD2 (room: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833). I tried to post my question there but I could not. That's why I am here . I visited market place but it said that it is not available in my region or not yet ready for my phone. I also tried to download it manually and put it in a folder, using XAP deployer but it did not help.
Can someone give me a hint?
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for your quick reply. The problem is now in my market place, I could not find the application. Previously, when I just flashed the room, I went to marketplace and searched.. and it was there. When I signed in with live account (with activation afterward), it did nothing then. I tried to find it again and it was not there anymore. I read some thread and found down that I can download the app manually to my phone and use XAP deployer to install that but when I did that, a pop up screen : reading mobilevoip.xap for a second and it disappeared.
I do not know if it is related to the window activation code. I assume not as I can install some apps from the market. Do I have to update any driver? I got the same problem with some apps such as: mobilevikings.xap,
Thanks.
first at all: Live activation code dont have anything with this
problem is in your region setting... dont know did you read what i say few times in Pdaimatejam ROM: if you not use WP before (you are first time with Wp7.8) then is problem in this.. WP7.8 have region bug... this not problem if you use Live account used before on older WP versions....
to fix this you must:
- flash WP7.5 version (for example HD2_Pdaimatejam_Rom_Wp7.5_Tango_7.10.8779.8_v8.4)
- open new Live account (not with phone, go to www.live.com, www.hotmail.com, www.outlook.com or www.xbox.com and open new account)
- in phone enter this newly opened account
- set your desired region (your local or you want US or GB)
- go to Marketplace and try download something
- now flash latest 7.8 ROM

Hi, I have followed you instructions. Flashed my phone with WP7.5 version. I created a new live account, get an activation code from microsoft. I fill it in but when trying to download some apps, it said that it can set up my account. Details are as follow:
" Can't set up you account
We're having trouble setting up your account. Try again a little while.
Error code: 80000FFFF''
Do you know what it is? And how can I solve it?
Good thing is that now I can see some apps that I did not see when my phone is with WP8 .
View attachment MobileVoip_v1.18.29.xap
I made it but I think we do not need to flash the phone with W7.5. This is my tips for those having the same problem:
- Create another live account
- Get a n activation code by chatting with MS agent
- Sign in Xbox, Zune... to set your region. Once it is accepted
- Reset (soft) your phone, add the newly created account
- Enjoy apps from Market place.
Many thanks again.

you dont need new Live activation code if you already have
and again repeat: this not help if you use new account with latest 7.8 version... your account will locked to China marketplace no mater which region you select... you must use WP7.5 ROM first if have new Live account and after this account locked to desired region you upgrade to 7.8 and use this account...

if you unlocked your phone with chevron or any other registry editor you are fully unlocked. However if you have a true developer unlocked phone (via a dev account with MS), then you cannot install interop apps on Mango. See here for details.
A user with a legit dev unlocked device cannot deploy ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES xaps. They just get the dreaded E: 0x81030120 error.
Here is what the expert says.
but there is hope for Samsung and HTC users. Heathcliff just released a new procedure to fully unlock without going back to NoDo here.
---------- Post added at 02:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:54 AM ----------
btw. there is another thread announcing the app. Schaps also updated the registry editor which works fine on my LG Quantum.
there is no straight forward way to uninstall the newly installed apps from the settings page. I successfully uninstalled with XAPDeployX. Sideload the xap again and check "force uninstall if application is already installed". Then click deploy. The program will uninstall the existing one on the device first and report this in the deploy tool with a success message. Right then you unplug the phone from the USB. Voila - it is now uninstalled and gone from settings.
Somebody else posted that you can install an older version (e.g. v1.3) that will show up in apps. Then you uninstall and it normally and it will be removed from settings as well.
just in case it doesn't work for you and you want to remove it...

if you are on Mango until now only LG users were able to get into the registry via the MFG tool to unlock their devices. Other users would have to go back to NoDo, fully unlock, set measures to prevent relock and then upgrade. But Heathcliff seems to have found a way to do this without going back to NoDo. He seems to be very close to a solution, working on Samsung and probably soon on HTC as well. I'd suggest you wait and follow that thread before going the painful back-to-NoDo route.

I'm on Mango beta. To install the official release, I'll have to revert to NoDo. I did on a previous phone, and escaped unharmed.
So depending on which arrives first, how do I fully unlock, etc. before installing the official update? I tried previously, but must've done something wrong because it didn't work.
I am following Heathcliff's thread. With reverence, awe and bated breath.
Again, thanks.

Many believe that if on 7720.68 you will just see firmware and radio updates rolled out to your device and you are all set. We really do not know at this point and might as well throw a coin. There seems to be some evidence that those on 7720.68 won't have to roll back.
If you do have to go back then unlock and stay locked using these guides
one, two
im on unlocked samsung focus mango 7720.68 using version 1.4
deployed OK & showing under settings but when clicked i get error "UnauthorizedAccessException"
then if i hit OK then the app opens but i do not think its working correctly after that
Tried to install on my hd7 with mango, but can't see on my apps list. Don't know why because it was working fine with 1.3

When/where is it asking for email and password? Is this during the setup after the reset? If so, I would assume it's your Google account.

That's what I'm trying to tell ya john, I have the gmail account's email, but I don't have the password because the account is not mine. It belongs to a man who recently passed away. When he died, so did the password with him. There must be a way to completely zero out this Memo Pad 7, isn't there? or... maybe that's not a good idea, eh? That would zap out all of the Pad's drivers and OS stuff. right?
This is where you put YOUR gmail account, not his. Once you add your account it will continue with the rest of the setup.

You found any solution for this?
what is a "win sticker" a windows sticker? This is an Android tablet. Take the official flashable LL rom from the other post, flash it, and I guarantee it works 100 percent.
I am having the same problem with mine. I gave to a friend and he put his account into it, then later we traded back and since he just created an account on the fly to try it out neither of us have the password. After I factory reset it, it tells me to log into previous account. After successfully flashing all three images, I still receive the same response from my tablet.

First Of all I want to thank you all for helping me out.
So it was google that updated their Google Account Manager apk so you can't login in this way In order to make your device "thinking" that this is the last account that was synced with the device.
and I realized that I should get some older version of GoogleAccountManager In order to fake the frp lock but the current version is blocking any older installation of it. In my case GoogleAccountManager 7.0.24 blocked the installation of GoogleAccountManager 6.0.XX(think it was 23).
So I decided to go a little rough on it and Downgraded the whole device Android Version (found a stock 5.1.1 for t817A model) In order to force the GoogleAccountManager application to downgrade also.
Some people complained that the FRP blocks their try to change android version but it wasn't my problem so I don't know how to help here.
after the downgrade I was able by using QuickShourcutMaker then opening GoogleAccountManager to login my account (many tutorials around the web), restarted the phone and TADAM, works like charm
My dad bought me a used one for the New Year (as I wished) and unfortunately it is FRP lock.
SO I've searched on how to disable this lock and I found I'm able to open google chrome settings but with no success further.
I've seen people enabling USB debugging then some how disabling that lock but I think google blocked my access to developer options so I think I'm pretty stuck ..
also, I have the option to send it back to the store overseas but I would like to try saving some time and unlocking it by myself so any ideas guys?

Okay, for TLDR - pretend I have a stolen phone that I can’t get into and need to flash something to get past FRP on newest OTA 7.0 build.
Have tried twrp using Odin, also custom from firmware mobi, and even stock rom that I grabbed from google. Frp blocks them all.
Long version :
Go easy on me, I’m an iPhone user.
Fiancé has a gs6. Has had it for 2.5 years. Used a random google account to setup her phone, doesn’t even remember the email address. Her main email address she doesn’t remember the password for it - it’s saved only on her phone. She can’t recover that email address because it’s set to text her phone, which she can’t get into because she set a password the other day and mistyped it both times when she set it (she was mad at the time, and pregnant hormonal)
So basically, she’s got a password on her phone that she can’t remember, couldn’t unlock it from the computer because she doesn’t remember the email address, and the only place to find that email address would be on an email account she could only access from her phone.
I tried to wipe it, and frp wants to use an email address that was used previously (which we do not know). Once we can get into her phone even minimally to receive a text, we can probably find it, but for now...we can’t.
I tried to flash with ODIN a twrp image, a custom fw from firmware mobi (can’t remember what that’s called, it was generated tho) and tried a stock (or so I’m told) image but all three were blocked by frp.
All the old threads list workarounds for older versions, like creating a contact and using it to link google to download es file explorer, etc.
Is it a paperweight?
Also to mention, it’s no longer on T-Mobile, it’s straight talk in the US.
Try to restore it to fully out of the box status using Samsung Kies or Smartswitch and give it a whirl.
Sounds like it is Google locked to me.

Hi a while ago i unlocked my boot loader and after a long time not using the phone i locked the boot loader,,im trying to unlocvk again using same account andit keeps saying account not authorised. even though im using same account.??
i also logged into mi website to post there and as soon a click post it says banned from posting??
is there anything right about xiaomi that just works??
How do i get over this hurdle of unlocking boot loader again?
Regards
I guess You have to apply again for unlock with MiFlash_Unlock tool and wait 168 hours. If this account is bugged you can try a new account. As far as i know this is the only method to unlock bootloader on xiaomi phones.
so i deleted account and recreated new account with same number now it says please add your account to miui settings > developer settings >mi unlock status...which i have done and it says successfully added but every time i go to unlock keeps saying the same above thing to add to your account....
Are you using latest version Mi Unlock ?
Try uninstall/reinstall Mi unlock tool.

That's a strange issue. I've never had problems unlocking the bootloader of my Xiaomi phones.
Try remove your Mi account (in settings) , reboot , then log in again . Then add back the account in developer setting.
And try run as administrator option , when opening Mi unlock app.

once you added the new account dont add it anymore because you are resetting the 168 hours timer. i think you just have to wait 7 days and try to unlock with the mi unlock tool

Tried that too and reinstalled the rom from scratch. Still same issue. I have a feeling it’s my old number and email associated to that account that might be causing the issue as it’s been used before to unlock boot loader? but tomorrow new email new number. Let’s see. Will update.
Regards.
If you have deleted the old account before creating a new one it should not cause a problem. But yeah delete all accounts connected to this phone number and make a new account with a different email. Good luck buddy! Tell us what happened after that
so made new account with gmail and new number and followed these steps and downloaded unlock tool from here and it all worked finally, now it says wait 168 hours
downloaded unlock tool from https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
and updated it,
followed these instructions and used us as region when creating account but used uk number
one thing i did was make an account via email first on the website and set region to us, once account was created i logged in at the website and added recovery number through there, then logged in to xiaomi account oh phone and it showed up.
Make a Mi account through Google and set the region to US - it's important to set the region to US... EU gave me the rebind error
Add the Mi account to your phone (settings -> Mi Account)
Set the recovery phone on your Mi account and verify the phone number.
Make sure you have OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging enabled
Go to Mi Unlock status -> add account (make sure you're on data)
In your PC download the latest Mi Unlock Tool (click on the gear icon and check for updates + download if there are any)
In the same gear menu check for USB Drivers and install them
Log into the same Mi account in the Unlock tool
Enter Fastboot on your phone
Unlock (it may prompt you to wait 168 hours, but after that you should be able to unlock)
patiently awaiting now
Regards

one thing i did was make an account via email first on the website and set region to us, once account was created i logged in at the website and added recovery number through there, then logged in to xiaomi account oh phone and it showed up.

Well I was this close to selling the thing if this last step didn’t work. But now will install eu rom as that’s what I had before and it worked good.
Only reason I changed to iPhone was it worked better with my Audi as the direction part on google maps on android auto took up quite a fair bit of the screen which was annoying.
Still does but worked out how to change it from the right side of the screen to the left which is a tad better I guess.

Hi Guys
a little update
as I am waiting for the days to countdown to unlock bootloader, I decided to go to work on the current miui14 Chinese rom, I deleted all the installed Chinese apps all the bloatware completely, activated google play services, installed play store, installed all my current apps, duplicated this phone and the home screen layout exactly to my iPhone set up, logged into my cards and banking apps without any issues, installed vanced YouTube and premium Spotify and as well as a couple no longer available apps.. set everything to English, deleted baidu and mifly keyboard installed google keyboard, and its exactly like how I would have it as if the boot loader was unlocked with a eu.rom.
now if I can get all this without unlocking bootloader all through a Chinese rom, why would i want to go through the headache of unlocking the bootloader to install a eu rom which is based on this very Chinese rom I believe?
can anyone suggest any reasons as to why anyone would go through the bootloader headache, unless I forgot something that i do that i haven't done via this route that might pop to mind later.
Regards
AF

I didnt like the Chinese rom because:
1)the search engine (when you swipe up on home screen) is chinese and u cant change it.
2)"Ok Google" voice command was not working (or was buggy) if i remember correctly.
3) There were some other things that were coming up in chinese but i dont remember exactly what.
4) Many apps were not working in the background and i was not receiving notifications even when i locked those apps, put them on "no restriction" and enabled "auto start".
5) I saw many good bonus features that the EliteRom has (gets updates every 1 or 2 weeks, based on xiaomi.eu weekly) and decided to try it. So far i really like it!
But if you are okay with the Chinese ROM, u can stick with it

Make sure you use the app provided in link in my original post as after using a new email and new number I downloaded the unlock app from that link as the one I was using before had a different layout and kept giving that darn issue.
