Im getting bugged about an update to this, but I have already updated to 010. But since I had the phone early I flashed the previous kernel from championswimmer. I didn't wanna unlock the bootloader for the OTA then relock and wipe everything.
If I flash this I wouldn't have to wipe everything? Im on CWM recovery btw.
Sent from my LT25i using xda premium

Stock kernel flashing does not require wipe. Nothing has changed in the kernel apart from the 2 parameters i changed to allow root and insecure abilities.

I've used it for 2 days without any issues, but can't seem to get into root prompts in adb.

[DISCONTINUED][CWM][ALL BL][STOCK] ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.6 for Xperia T/TL/TX/V v9

This thread is no longer continued. My T died a few weeks ago for second time in his life and there is no cheap repair. I see you in the LG G2 forums (current device)
CLOCKWORKMOD FOR XPERIA T/TL/TX/V v9
From v1 to v8: based on this, so most credits go to cray_Doze.
From v9 onwards: own development.
This is for:
Rooted phones
Locked/Unlocked bootloaders
Stock firmwares T/TL/TX/V (ICS & JB)
What is working:
Backup
Restore
External SD
Flash zip files
Mount/Unmount partitions
And so on, so apparently all (further testing and feedback will be appreciated)
What is NOT working:
Some users are reporting issues on latest v9 like error mounting both system partition and usb storage, formating external sd, and others. Take in account that CWM 6.0.4.6 is the latest version available for our devices, as many of you are requesting repeatedly. It comes from CM10.1, which is Android 4.3 while most of us are still on 4.1. So a lot of things are expected to not work. While Android 4.3 finally arrives for our devices and these issues are solved, if you're experiencing problems downgrade to v8 which is fully functional. Simple and clear.
Installing:
Installing CWM for the first time is as simple as:
Download CWM v4 installer for ICS if you are on Ice Cream Sandwich or CWM v9 installer for JB if you are on Jelly Bean, and unzip
Enable USB debugging and connect phone to your computer
Run install.bat/install.sh
Flashing CWM from itself (could be required after flash a rom) is as simple as:
Download CWM v4 flashable for ICS if you are on Ice Cream Sandwich or CWM v9 flashable for JB if you are on Jelly Bean, and copy to your phone
Flash the zip file from CWM
Older versions can be found here.
Entering CWM:
Disconnect usb cable and power off the phone
Power on the phone
When SONY logo appears:
On Xperia T/TL/TX press repeatedly (not holding) volume-down button until the phone vibrates
On Xperia V running ICS press repeatedly (not holding) volume-down button until the phone vibrates
On Xperia V running JB try one of these:
Press repeatedly (not holding) power button until the phone vibrates
Tap repeatedly the screen
Wait a few seconds and you will be on CWM
Navigating CWM:
Volume+ for up
Volume- for down
Power button for enter/ok
Unable to enter recovery?
Make sure you have granted superuser permissions to adb shell. Sometimes this occurs when running install.bat/install.sh for the first time, sometimes not. Best way is open a command terminal on your favourite operative system, enter "adb shell" and then enter "su". Your super user application will ask you for grant permissions, accept and retry running install.bat/install.sh.
Changelog:
v1: Modified sh script (removed some unnecessary commands, added validations with messages for install success/failed)
v2: Modified binary to display correct model information and versioning
v3: Tweaked chargemon script for JB kernels compatibility (many thanks to TiMiN8R for provide this solution)
v4: Reboot Fix self-integrated
v5: Tweaked chargemon script for Xperia V 9.1.A.1.140 firmware compatibility (many thanks to cray_Doze for provide this solution)
v6: Updated to CWM 6.0.3.0, solved wrong backup time
v7: Copy proper charger file for every supported Xperia model (installer version will ask for model whereas flashable version will try to determine it based on ro.semc.product.model build.prop property)
v8: Added install.sh script to allow installation from Linux environments (just applies to installer version, but flashable version also upgrades to do not embroil versioning)
v9: Updated to CWM 6.0.4.6
Bug reporting:
If you found a bug, or this CWM is not working for you, please send me a PM with:
A description of your problem
Which version of CWM you are
Which version of Android you are
Which model of Xperia you own
Dropbox links (or similar) to download the following log files (you must pull off from your phone just after reproduce the error):
/cache/chargemon/chargemon.log
/cache/recovery/last_log
If you help me, I will be able to help you. If your sole intention is to post something like "this doesn't work" or "please repair" and nothing more, your post will be ignored (at least by myself).
Last but not least, say that I just own the Xpertia T, not the TL/TX/V. That just means one thing: tracking and solving bugs on these are, as little, very difficult. Be patient and trust on hard work of developers.
Important notes:
Some users are experiencing problems entering CWM when they upgrade root's integrated busybox (1.20.0 version) to a mayor version (many thanks to istux for report this issue). Try reinstalling CWM to fix (many thanks to devilmaycry2020 to provide this solution).
If you come from ROM-integrated CWM, chances are that you do not have the proper charger file for your device model (it is copied on CWM installation, but no one has been performed due the integration nature). So if you are suffering automatic power on when charging, you must reinstall CWM.
Enjoy it!

At the moment you can't install CWM on FW195 with locked bootloader, but you can try this.

It works for me. After that everything works (root) but recovery disappears.
To make back recovery, just use install.bat again.
I have a .195, root and recovery on locked bootloaoder
Thanks guys!
would this work on a Xperia TL rooted running .303?
Thanks

It should, originally was developed for Xperia SX/GX and works in T like a charm, so I think both TL and TX are also candidates.
Please report if you try and works.

Now that you have recovery, you can upgrade to FW195 as said here. After that, you need to install CWM again (don't worry, it will work even though you are in FW195 with locked bootloader; many thanks to Pacjonek for this info).

After upgrading you need to flash this file in order to get the 7.0.A.3.195 stock kernel. People have reported bugs with extended standy mode causing bootloops with this method and a 303 kernel.

Now, which roms would work? I understand they need to be stock based roms. But, is there a way around it? I want to try the MIUI rom on the Xperia. by the way, i did not upgrade to .195. I am still on .303.
Yes there is a way around it,unlock your bootloaderand them you can flash custom kernels. With a locked bootloader you are limited to stock kernels and stock based ROMs

Tried on TX (LT29i). It works!
But after installing recovery not apply OTA updates. It would be great to have the ability to remove recovery, for OTA update, as easy as installing.

I'm on latest 195 FW so I'm unable to confirm that issue, but install recovery is no more than push a bunch of files to the device. Tomorrow I will try the opposite, pushing back any overwritten file. In theory this should work.
If you want the latest firmware you can also try this and then install CWM (it worked for me).
Any confirmed attempt on a TL running 7.0.B.1.152?

I wrote a little tool to remove CWM from our devices, it just deletes the stuff pushed by the installer and restores some original files. It can be downloaded from here.
It would be nice if someone could confirm that OTA update is working after remove CWM.

Is the script outputting the message "CWM succesfully installed!" ?
Users of other Xperia devices have reported some combination of keystrokes working for them (when Sony logo is on screen), like press repeatedly vol+, hold vol-, tap screen multiple times... Have you tried some of these?

Yes, it gave a "CWM successfully installed", press any key to continue message.
I haven't tried any combinations of volume +/- or screen taps other than the instructions that we're provided... so I'll try some other combos and see if that works. However, one time I got the phone into "SAFE MODE". Kinda surprised me.

[STOCK][Jelly Bean 9.1.A.1.141][T]Rooted & Deodexed[10/06/13]

This is just a simple ROM I built with dsixda's Android Kitchen. Saw some people requesting a clean, rooted, stock ROM so I started a poll to gauge interest and it was enough for me have a crack at it. It's not really development but I figured this was the best place to drop it.
It's based on the LT30P_9.1.A.1.141_PL.ftf posted by @Supersonic335. I only rooted and deodexed it.
All the usual blah blah about bricking your device applies. It works fine on my phone so it should work on yours.

* DEODEXED
Basic flashing instructions
1. Root with Bin4ry's method(*) Make sure to use v21 or later!

You lose CWM after the flash because it's not in the kernel image as it is in a custom kernel.
The reboot fix has to do with the ric file which causes reboots when trying to access /system as r/w iirc.
I'm going to be testing a build now which has CWM and the reboot fix integrated and also a different fix for the "missing" wlan driver.

OK, all the sequence again from the beginning.
1. I flash stock 303 rom
2. Rooting it, installing CWM via usb debugging mode.
3. Entering recovery, flashing rom (recovery after flashing rom is still exists, isn`t it?)
4. Then i flash what ? CWM or reboot fix ? I suppose fix, because CWM will be still availiuble!?
So, what for to flash CWM form CWM? If i will lose CWM i still can flash new CWM from installed new .195 rom via debugging mode, isn`t it ? Or i don`t get something at all ? ((
You need to flash both CWM and reboot fix. After reboot CWM will be gone. It is actually in a ramdisk while in recovery. The recovery.tar which holds it is in /system/bin and is flashed over on update. That's why you need to flash it again. You should be able to install it again from. 195 but it's just easier to do it while you're already in recovery. It doesn't matter which of the two you flash first.

All clear, thank you!
Will try to do it today.
Just flashed the rom, CWM and fix, everything passed just great, everything works..., what can i say, i`m happy! Thank you so much for your work.
But one thing, you didn`t make changes in kernel ? It`s strange, because the kernel in this .195 f/w is dated by jule, however this kernel was in old .303 f/w and in the new .195 f/w there must be new kernel dated by september, what do you say ? And i see changed file sysmon.cfg respondable for CPU frequency control and LCD brightness. In the old f/w i was changing values by myself as i want LCD brightness, and i see this file has an another values than in old .303 f/w. Does it you made changed or this was in stock ?

Now that 7.0.A.3.223 is out, ¿any chance of getting an updated version of your rom?.
I like deodexed stock ones with as little modifications as possible, so I can customize them to my likes.
And so far yours has been great (except I switched SuperUser for SuperSU).

I've been using Siyah kernel with rom 3.195 and I'm very satisfied with it.
(There's a report that version 0.2 doesn't work with latest rom (3.223), but I know a user in another forum who says it is working fine for him, so who knows. Either way I'm waiting to see if Gokhanmoral releases kernel 0.3 before I update to rom 3.223).
¿Deodexed?
I've tried to customize the status bar icons with Rom Toolbox, but it complains that this rom is not deodexed (and in fact changing the icons does not work).
But this rom is supposed to be deodexed so, ¿does anybody know why this happens?.

thanks a lot, which stock kernel have you used for this? i have tried using champs kitchen and stock kernel i have used for a while but i am apparently to noobish
EDIT: working with my unbloated stockrom
I used kernel.sin from 9.0.1.D.0.10 / Nordic.
The kitchen is great, but i found some issues when packing ramdisk. Take a look at my posts in the kitchen thread which will help in packing the ramdisk correctly.
You should then be able to create kernel.elf fine. Make sure the cmdline.txt is correct, use the one from any of the kernels posted here. .
Looks good, I did this myself too, but what about cwm? Only ramdisk needs to be edited for cwm right?
does it work wit previous firmware 9.0.D.0.484 ?

You need to copy zImage from the kernel you want to use (stock etc), and replace the TWRP one.
You also need to create a cpio archive from the contents of the ramdisk folder you want to use (stock etc), and use the new ramdisk.cpio and replace the TWRP ramdisk.cpio

I have not personally tested it.
I did use a .484 kernel with a .10 ROM. But not a .10 Kernel on a .484 firmware / ROM
If you want to test it, fastboot it, and let us know if it boots or not, if it does not work, just fasboot the .484 kernel back.

thank for helping me, the trick was to use option 4:4, instead of 4:3, now i have .10 and .484 kernels with twrp
The new twrp way of booting the recovery works for the Xperia T. You could try building with the extract_elf_ramdisk utility from http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/143 to try for the V. That way the same recovery image can be used for stock and cm.
help! i hope you still check up on this thread
i did what you said and i ended up with a bootloop, i think?
it starts up with the orange image of AOKP, a pink led light and then it just goes to black. after awhile it repeats that again
what have i done wrong? ><
I can reboot into twrp but i cant mount my usb for some reason.
i came here from this thread btw!

Root & Unlock Bootloader for Xperia TX Latest Version

Hi. I wasn't able to understand the process of doing this to Sony devices cause I'm not used to all these sub-branches of steps for slightly different variations and software versions, lol, I understand this is a lot of n00bness for you guys.
I have a stock, legal Xperia TX, software version 9.2.A.1.199 and I want to get it to the point where I can flash custom ROMs. What do I do with it? Sorry for asking, I appreciate any help. :]

You can most likely only flash custom ROMs (that come with a custom kernel) if you have an unlocked bootloader; so first find out if you can unlock it.

What do I do after that? I'm following the instructions here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions but installing CWM and rooting for my device and it's software version is where I'm at a loss.

Before unlocking your bootloader, I'd backup my TA partition which backs up your DRM keys. If you don't do that, you'll lose them forever (AFAIK), which means no more Bravia Engine. Look for "Backup-TA-9.10" in XDA and/or Google. You need root to do this, which means you'd have to go back to 4.1.2, because there are no methods currently available for rooting 4.3 without an unlocked bootloader.
Once you do that, or if you don't care, and you do upgrade back up to 4.3, flash this kernel, which comes with two recoveries, and then flash any custom ROM you want.
Although, if you do go back to 4.1.2 in order to backup your TA partition, then you can easily root 4.1.2, install CWM, and flash your custom ROM from there, no need to go back up to 4.3.
u can use this.. im also using tx
Hello!!! Aha...so you have troubles? and you need help? OK
Dont worry wetry to help each other in this hard situation...
On Russian site 4pda.ru there is a method to hove root, deodex, CWM on JB 4.3 (295).
Follow carefully the instruction below:
p.s. if you now how to get back old SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67), then dont follow my instruction just do it, maybe you can faster!!!!
First of all you need to get back to SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67), root it and CWM (if you have problems with here some steps):
1. Download a SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67) for ex.: this 67
2. extract the zip put the .ftf firmware to flashtool/firmware folder
3. Start flashtool, press flash/flashmode choose you ftf and press flash, when the guide winow popups up turno f your phone, then hold volume down (-) button and connect to PC. After installation let settle up your phone!
Rooting SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67):
1.Extract DooMLoRD...bla..bla...bla folder and start .bat file (cmd) conect your phone to PC and press enter on cmd screen!
2. if everything goes well your must be rebooted (if my memory didnt mistaken) and in app drawer you will see Superuser shortcut.
CWM for SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67):
1. Extract CWM4XperiaT_v6i_JB.
2. Conect your phone to PC and start the .bat file which inside CWM4XperiaT_v6i_JB folder then look at your phone and press "OK".
Once you get rooted, CWM SXTX JB 4.1.2 firmware (67) here is the steps for TX 4.3 root & deodex for LB
1. Go to CWM and do all wipes (data, cache, dalvik)
2. Flash TX LT29i 4.3 295 deodex flashable04.zip. Dont reboot!!! Stay in recovery!!!
3. Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip. Dont reboot!!! Stay in recovery!!!
4. Go to Advenced menu and choose Power OFF!!!! Dont turn on your phone!!!!
5. Start Flashtool and press flash/flashmode then choose Xperia_TX_LT29i 9.2.A.0.295 USA kernelonly.ftf, press flash and when the guide window popups up conect your phone to PC with holding Volume Down (-) button.
6. boot up your phone!!!
Now you have Root 'n' Deodex
CWM installation
1. In developer options on your phone check on the "USB debugging mode" (if you dont know how to enter to dev. opt. go to about menu in settings and tap around 7 times the build number stroke!!! then go out to settings and the dev. option will shown upper about menu!!!!)
2. Security menu check on "unknown seurces"
3. Extract XT-lockeddualrecovery2.7.89-BETA.installer.zip, then conect your phone to PC and start the .bat inside folder!
4. When the cmd comes up and your phone conected press 1, now look at your phone and press "OK"

No! It's just an example for a kernel with CWM recovery, because that's what you need to install the ZIP. You could also use NKernel, if you did not have a working CWM recovery.
After flashing the ZIP, the kernel gets overwritten.
