I accidentally deleted some files and now i cant pass this screen. any help would be appreciated!
sorry its the 7.0
The PC does recognize the device.
What files did you delete?
Where you rooted (I'm assuming you were, but just to verify)?
You say the computer recognizes the device, but does adb?
What have you already tried, and what where the results?

-delete some google services files i guess. like setupwizard
-i was rooted, but pc doesnt recognized it.
-havent tried anything because it wont pass that screen (pic 3)
deleted or moved them from /system/app
I would suggest working to get the drivers to recognize the device first. Try going to device manager and seeing if anything shows up, even if it has a yellow triangle. Then manually update the drivers using the drivers from the Noob Windows root thread. After that, you're going to need to remember what you deleted, and then push them to system/app and set their permissions. But the first thing is getting ADB to recognize your Kindle.

Yes, you are officially a Brick. You need a Factory USB Cable, do not try anything else to make it worse.
Contact our fellow XDA Member SkOrPn. Send SkOrPn a PM, place "Factory Cable Info Please" in the subject
and let him know how many to send, what country to send the cables. When the cable arrives, send us a
message and we will supply you with the proper recovery images.

Hello
My DS7 has a broken port (that plastic line right at the center of the port is chipped). It charges only if I insert the connector a bit crooked... but the device its not recognized by any computer. I've spent hours trying to do it with no luck.
I would like to root it and test some other roms. Is it going to be possible without being able to connect it to a computer? An SD method maybe?
Please help! I did search before posting this... couldn't find an answer.
Thanks!
Do you already have CWM installed? That basically answers your question.

Like TheManii said, if you already have CWM installed you should be in business, but the fact that you can't use the port for flashing is going to be hinderance if you ever need to NVFlash or adb anything. So I recommend to be VERY careful and do nothing without much thought
It's much, much worse to have a broken port on the S7 compared to the S5. As you can remove the S5's batt and charge externally.
Consider yourself lucky you can charge at all, otherwise it's already a dead device/motherboard.

Why not SDCard?
My other Android device.. the only way to root it was via the SDCard.. so I don't understand why a SDCard option is not available to the Streak-7.

Because ....duh....they are different devices?
so I guess there is nothing I can do right?
Pretty much all the stuff needed needs to be done via the cable. Now if you have 2.2 installed you can install Gingerbreak apk that will root it. Other than that, its sucks.
Well, some time has passed since I started this thread. I was wondering if maybe there could be a new solution for my problem?

First allow me to ask you this... do you know what root is, do you have any knowledge of adb commands, do you have the Android SDK and/or the Dell drivers on your computer and lastly do you understand the layout of the file system?
I can easily just type out the commands but I want you to understand the process
BUT I'm not sure this works... since you aren't rooted already I don't know if you can push files to the system folders

I'm agree with you, it's my fault and my problem. But in theory, what is possible to make, to get back kindle to life?
Well...in theory, you would have to obtain the private signing keys from Amazon so a custom bootloader can be made for the new devices. Then you would have to put it in USBboot mode, most likely by shorting the USBboot pin to a ground point on the device and using a custom tool like Firekit, made for the 2nd generation devices, to send low level USB commands to the device and flash a signed bootloader.
But that's all speculation at this point.

Try a factory reset then try again, make sure allow installation from unknown sources is ticked, when you get the prompt on your kindle to restore during the process enter your amazon password then hit restore.

I DID IT!!!!!!! This is a big deal for me and this is how I(ole Grany) here Rooted a Kindle Fire HD 7.4.1.
I Changed PC's from Win 7 to Windows XP
I did a clean install of the ADB Drivers for Kindle(Made sure it showed up in Device Manager (No SDK install)
I restored Kindle to Factory, Set the Accept things like adb and developer thing in the kindle
I installed the Bin4ry v26(tried v30 would not work)
I extracted the Bina4ry to desktop to folder called "rooting"
then went to prompt and / cd desktop/rooting/runme
First go I thought I screwed up Kindle all apps gone and it was in slow mo..
Did a factory reset
Started over...BAM! I almost peed my pants...
Then followed instructs for installing Play...BAM..done
Now all I need is a new rom which I have no idea which is best so give me some ideas and I will learn how to install that
Oh I used es explorer(the new one) ad task manager.
I swear the Kindle seems faster..

ok, than you have to extract the zip-Archiv (TwerkMyMoto-1.0.zip) in the ADB-Folder.
Sorry, i have missed that step...
The 3 files have to be together with the adb.exe in one folder!
good luck!
Never mind.
I used vroot to root both Razr I's without unlocking the Bootloader. Worked instantly. And then I used Dr. Fones software to search for the files, but it was gone beyond repair. So thanks for the input here, and thanks to Motorola or android whoever wasn't capable to install a recycle bin from the factory.

Most likely it isnt beyond repair. You never touched the boot or other partitions. Just flash the installed stock ROM by rsd lite. And all will be as good as new.
But why do u use vroot? Why not a working one from this device forum. And before u wine about a recycle bin left out, its not windows, linux or anything. Its your fault, read what it does. And if u don't know what u are doing, read how to repair things before even starting to use tools like this. But if I totally misunderstood you, I am sorry!

Are you friggin kidding me?
Instead of helping you are critizing me and start a personal attack by saying it's my fault!?
UNBELIEVABLE!
First off, I started a topic here weeks ago trying to get help to recover my file. Well, guess what, no help, no response!
Then I asked for help to root, cause NONE of the "working" solutions I found here worked for a locked bootloader RazrI !!!!
So now after I used Vroot, which worked instantly you come around!?
The file I tried to recover is gone. It was an audio file that meant a lot to me. Gone forever, and yes thanks for rubbing it in, yes my fault because i ACCIDENTALLY deleted it, by swiping over the file.
And yes, if a recycle bin would have been included from the factory everyone could have recovered that file in a heartbeat without making a doctor in computer systems, without rooting. Or any other modifications.
Thanks for your post, as it goes to show how bad some people are.
Sorry to hear the complete story.
But your post was only about "TwerkMyMoto". Nothing more!
If you had given us more info we could help you better.

Do the programs you listed work on the kindle stuck on the logo screen. I have tried another program and it did nothing.
Fastboot mode doesn't do anything. It's a mode. It's a means for you to interact with the device.

If you have fastboot cable and a booting kindle, you can restore it at home. To do this, use the fastboot cable to boot into fastboot mode and use the Kindle Fire First Aid to go stock. You can also use the Kindle Fire System Restore Tool to restore it to 7.2.3

Many people have gone to great lengths to write some great tutorials one here. Why don't you try reading them a few times and then give it a shot? Put some work into it, you won't regret it.

I really just want to know if I can send it to amazon. I don't have a warranty so that stuff does not matter. Will they accept it is the question I want answered. (I also have not seen any tut on fixing the bootloop)
I also think it might be a battery problem. I have seen people have similar problems and people saying the new bootloader turns on a bootloop when the battery is low. The only way to fix it is to get the original charger (mine broke) or charge it at a shop.

Sounds like a waste of money to me. They may accept it, but by the time you pay for shipping & labor, buy a used one for < $80
Cost

I really don't care how much as long as they can fix it. Does anyone know for sure if they will accept it.
If not, is there any other people/companies will fix it.
I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Folks at xda aren't going to have the information you're looking for. Contact amazon directly.

Sorry, been busy for the past few days.
If you have fastboot cable and a booting kindle, you can restore it at home. To do this, use the fastboot cable to boot into fastboot mode and use the Kindle Fire First Aid to go stock. You can also use the Kindle Fire System Restore Tool to restore it to 7.2.3

Is there a way to do this without a fastboot cable?
Trying to make this as free as possible.
No, you must have a fastboot cord.
