[Q] HELP! Keyboard bug in 4.3

I have recently installed DaRk-L0rD 4.3 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647459) and have a really annoying bug. I cant change the keyboard, everytime I try to the phone reboots. it doesnt matter if i do it in setting or in swiftkey. Its a fresh install from a full wipe.
I really hope someone can help. Thanks.

you could try to reinstall any keyboard apk, move it to system, check permission reboot into recovery wipe dalvik cache reboot then set default in keyboard settings.

Hi, I've tried fixing permissions in recovery, I've tried re flashing the Rom. It's seems the bug is with the system not the keyboard. I can tick other keyboards in settings, but when I actually try and change it to default then it instantly reboots.
I find it odd that no one else has had the same problem, I guess they might not have tried changing from the stock keyword...

strange one. I have also tried this rom and had no issues, did you redownlod this before re flashing, could de a problem with the download.

Yeah I have 3 versions, the latest one I downloaded yesterday, from the darklords post.
I've had the same bug with all 3. It's very odd. I really miss SwiftKey, I'm really strugging with the stock keyboard.
I might have to full wipe and try a different rooted 4.3 stock rom.

sorry I couldn't help with this. I myself am using swiftkey but with peetrs stock hybrid. its a good rom.

[Q] Help!!! My N900A sensors not working..

Hello guys.. just want to know the possible reason why my note3 sensors no longer working.. i do not even know when it starts.. i remember that i upgraded from jb to kitkat and after a weeks i noticed the problem.. is it because of the upgrade..?

Do you have XPrivacy installed and are blocking the sensors? If not I guess if they are failing the test you could flash NC2 over and that might get them working.

I tried flashing stock nc2 but same issue.. im not sure if its a hardware problem or a software.
Why are they failing all at the same time..?

Do they not work at all or do they work sometimes and then fail at the same time? Also have you tried any 3rd party sensor apps besides the built-in tests?

I already tried third party apps but the issue still exists.. what is the possible problem..?

Sounds like hardware is the next place to check. Feel comfortable taking your phone apart?
I had to to get my proximity sensor working as a bunch of crud (mostly pocket lint) made its way into the sensor pocket. There are many tear down videos for this device.

No.. it FAILS.. what am going to do now..? Is this really a hardware problem..? Im not going to a technician yet, still trying to solve issue..

This happen to me yesterday. Try a reboot and see if that helps. Mine was cause by a crash app.

I know you said you reflashed stock, but you might want to try reflashing with the PIT file as well. That will repartition your phone and is probably the most you can do software-wise at this point...if you still have problems you may be better off sending it in for repair unless you're comfortable taking your phone apart yourself.
Download the 4 Odin files in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2703006 (ignore the home file) and the PIT file. In this case you do want repartition checked in Odin...it will check it automatically when you load the PIT file just make sure to leave it checked.
This will wipe everything so backup what you want to save first.
Hope this works for you bro and it's not a hardware issue

[Q] [CUSTOM ROMS] Why can't I download anything from the Play Store?

Hello guys, i habe a Problem. I like to flash new custom Roms frequently and for the past two days I am unable to download most of the apps I usually download for my daily use.
Can you help me with that? Do i have to flash the original Firmware to solve this Problem?

Hi,have you tried enter in General/Aplication manager/Google Play Store and clear data and cache?

Hey, no i didnt. It neither worked on other ROMs but i will give it a try

Hello again. You can try to delete your Google account, go to settings on your device, go to Accounts and then Google. Click to delete the account.Reboot your Android and add the account again.Then, in the settings go to Applications Manager and click find "All" applications.Scroll down to Google services, click delete data,and clear cache.

I tried it, but i still cant download all the apps i usually install. Any other ideas? :/

What version of firmware you have now,are you root?It could be that the app you want to download will need to be root,and actually you lost your root.?

I was so desperate that i flashed the original samsung stock 4.3 firmware. Its not rooted anymore and it will not download apps like facebook as well. So it cant be the fault of missing root access.

It shows no error message. It says "wird heruntergeladen" ("downloading" in german) but nothing else happens. It just doesnt download the app.
I now found out that it is possible for me to download anything if i turn off wifi and download it via mobile data. Does this help you?

Update to make everything as clear as possible:
-i run the original stock 4.3 android firmware by samsung
-i got this problem almost a week ago
-flashing other roms didnt help
-i can download SOME apps, but many fail to download
-those who fail can be downloaded via mobile data
-i can download apps from my browser and install them without any problems (but by this way i cant really update them)
-i installed the latest play store and it still doesnt work
-clearing app data and cachd does not help
-if i want to download an app, no error message pops up. It just says 'downloading' all the time
-i have this problem with and without root
-i have this problem with older and newer android versions
If you need other informations, screenshots etc., please let me know what you want to see so we can help each other in the best way possible.

Both, but when i download apps or files i use wifi

Interesting. Today i rooted my phone again and everything works perfectly fine again..

Front camera not working

I'm using teh latest version of Mokee (4.4.4) on my LG P880, the rear camera works well, but when I switch to front camera I get an error saying "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped." I tried cleaning the camera app's cache and I also tried using another camera app that I downloaded from Google Play but they're both not working. Is there any way to fix this bug? Thanks!

Go to the development page of your custom rom and check if only your front camera doesnt work. If it is reported as issue etc.
Then you can try to clean install the rom wipe everything needed and clean istall rom and gapps.

had 2 same thing with 2 P880's maybe it's just a problem of this phone had it with stock rom.

You can also try to clear cache/data of the camera app in the settings. If the front camera was working earlier with this rom.
EDIT: You can also check for ROM updates and update it if any updates availible.

[Q] Videos dont' work anymore

Hi, I noticed that the video playback doesn't always work. For example if I try to play Facebook videos I get an error, same with YouTube. Sometimes even the video recording doesn't work! I tried to wipe System/Data/Cache/Internal Storage and re-install the firmware.
I'm now on 23.1.A.1.28 debloated by @moly82 .
I've Unlocked Bootloader.
Can someone help me? Thank you.

The new Video Update is kind of buggy atm, you can always downgrade by downloading the APK online and assuming you guys have Root access you can push it to system/priv-app/ and give rw-r-r permissions. Or you could uninstall the update in Settings>Apps therefore restoring the App to its factory version
New update doesn't change anything but name so downgrading won't hurt unless you prefer the name "Video" instead of "Movies"

I have the exact same problem gifs on relay for reddit also stop playing, a reboot fixes it temporarily but it always comes back, would love to know a permenant solution. Latest rooted stock.

Thank you for the answer! I've installed a debloated version of the firmware. So I can't see Video app listed in the menu. Which is the exact name I should see in Setting->Apps?

I tried to push a couple of old versions to the system but after a couple of hours or a day later the problem came back. Does anyone have an idea what the culprit could be. Kernel maybe? Tried flashing other roms to no avail. Now I'm on 5.1.1 stock slim version. I have an unlocked bootloader btw without drm keys. (which I lost because i'm the stupid noob who didn't check his backup...)Anyone ideas?

I,m on 23.4.A.0.546 with the Advanced Stock kernel for the same firmware.

Have you tried to restore to stock kernel? I'm on .546 at this moment and I've had no issues with video playback.

As far as is know the problem started with the stock kernel. I then flashed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/d5803-23-2-1-62-slim-t3127115 and the Advanced kernel. Anyway, i will flash the stock kernel just to be sure. If that doesn't change anything can i try to restore it with Sony Companion and start over?

I figured that much.. It's a weird problem. It got me thinking it maybe hardware related. I will try the kernel end the restore and if it doesn't work i just have to live with it. Thank you very much for the help.

Sorry to revive this older thread, but did you find a solution to the issue? I am experiencing the very same problem on my Z2 phone with stock ROM + unlocked bootloader and root. I was suspecting a HW issue (maybe combined with unlocked BL), but there were few other users with same issue. I am going to place an order for Z3 compact and would hate to face the annoying "camera not available" or "video can't be played" messages again.
