How to OTA update to 7.0.A.3.223 - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Can anyone help me how to OTA update to 7.0.A.3.223 from 3.195.
I have root and unlocked downloader, and would like to keep both.
Both OTA and update through software fails.

You cannot use official update services (OTA or PCComapnion) if you have unlocked your bootloader. You need to find a stock .223 FTF file in the all in one thread and flash it using flashtool. Then flash the advanced stock kernel (Or my kernel, which you can find in my signature) to keep root.
EDIT
Also, please search before posting, all the information on this is in the all in one thread in the Q&A section, where this thread should be, because you asked a question and I answered it

Thread moved. Please post all your questions here in Q&A in future.
Thanks

Sky go app and Xperia t

Hi I can't search specific forums on this app so excuse Me if this has been answered already.
Had anyone got sky go working on their Xperia t? They have a root check and doesn't let you view anything until root is removed. They also have a firmware signature check so you have to be on stock Rom.
I used supersu to fully un root like a dumbass and it still didn't work. Now super user won't install properly.
I'm on doom kernel with curiosity rom

You wont be able to use sky go with an unlocked bootloader because you are always rooted with that kernel, even if you uninstall supersu.
Flash the root package I have installed to get your supersu back.
RootPackage-gregbradley.zip - 1.75 MB
Ugh that is head wrecking.
Is there any script to spoof locked boot loader? Thanks Greg.

you can relock the bootloader. There is an ftf in the dev section, just search for it.
But then you will have to have a stock kernel.
Nah I'd feel like they won then and I'm waiting for JB Rom with decent battery life. I tried to remove the read phone state permission and it wouldn't start.
Edit: it blacklists and allows kernels by using the information like one would see in "about phone" right? Or does it go deeper?

[Q] 4.2.2 C6603 OTA availability (NL)?

Does anyone know when/if there will be an OTA update for the new 4.2.2 firmware? I have flashed a generic NL .253 .ftf and I also never received
the other updates OTA. I do want to update, but I want to keep root access. I know I can flash a new generic ftf and gain root access with the perf_event exploit, but just updating OTA is easier I guess. Thanks in advance!

Depends what you mean with easier.
If you're willing to wait another month (just an example) for the OTA then yes it would be easy.
You can flash the T-Mobile NL FTF, gain root, remove root within an hour. I'm quite sure that you will have to wait a lot longer then an hour for OTA to even come out.
A month does seem like an awful long time..

I just did the original Japanese xperia z 4.2.2 update and it is fine it didn't change the language or anything I just flashed it over the old one done. Is even rooted. And It has no issues. So there is already ways on getting the official 4.2.2 update.

Did you root using the perf_event exploit? I caved in.. Downloading a generic NL stock rom right now. Installing and rooting asap, couldn't wait any longer

Rooted it really easy with doomlords rooting tool. Is basically a on click root.

Just download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339421
Open flashtool
At wipe untick data and cache leave appslog ticked
This way you keep your root and your Phone will have in 5 minutes the latest version!
Done this yesterday myself

I ve read posts about flashing the new version using TWRP but i do not know how to do it as it is my first time rooting i tried searching everywhere but i have no idea what I am doing. Because of this i cannot really do anything with my root, i cannot even unroot. Please respond ASAP... Thanks in advance.

If you have a custom recovery installed go into that recovery and flash SuperSU,superuser, ect
SuperSU
Go to playstore and download goo.im to flash the latest twrp then as stated above get supersu from there as well

You should just have to update your SuperSu through TWRP.

Upgrading to 4.3

Is it better to upgrade the ROM software via PCC or OTA is as good ?

Anyway, one of the two .. Decide for yourself! And the next time, please not open a new thread for this question

I would flash an ftf from the forums or make your own, as the bootloader gets updated. A failure during the OTA or PC companion flash at the moment bootloader is being updated could result in a hardbrick

Or so :good:
I could be wrong but it has mentioned that Flashtool uses the same protocols as PCC and flash tool is a way for those with unlocked bootloaders and modified system to flash stock roms where trying to use PCC would result in failure. The same issues can be experience by both methods and corrected by both (reflash in Flashtool and a replair in PCC). So as far as my understanding goes this statement seems misleading and fear inducing.
Yes, I see your point. And the risk is negligible. I just am not comfortable with bootloader being updated. "OTA".
That's just me though

I was using OTA via home wifi. If you have a stable internet, OTA is more easier.

No, of course not.
It's another firmware version and you will brick your device...
There's a small chance that could work but only and if new update is affecting some "unimportant" files.
That's not case here and I wouldn't recommend something like that...
Or I missed something and there is 761 kernel (stripped ftf)!?
Anyway - you have to have prerooted firmware, you can't do that with stock ftf...
