I can't post into the Android Development Section. (not enough posts)
So I add here a bug reporting with CustoNexus by Dexter.
- after each reboot I have to configure my 2G (no network found - Orange)
- when WIFI is enabled, it uses in fact the 3G data (wifi free mobile need usually a pass and with this Custo I don't need to enter a pass)
- when WIFI is disabled, I can't use the 3G data, only the 2G.
- when I start without wifi, I have the 3G data enabled

Try to start with wifi enabled, then deactivate wifi, and then turn flight mode on and then off..

I'm using FroyoBread & GingerDX for 2 month now i guess, but im encountering 1 problem in both roms (and all versions):
I can't use/connect to ICQ, Xfire, the market and google talk, if HSDPA is enabled (its not working on 2G too)...
When im opening the market im getting a timeout... the other apps i mentioned aboved aren't working too.
But when im enabling wifi its working fine.
I already tried several apk's and i already did many full wipes and so on.
Is there any way to fix it?

what is your carrier and did you test your data connection work??
My carrier is Base Germany -> its related to Eplus...
The date connection is working fine, i got a full 3G connection and i can open every website... but as i already mentioned the apps are not working.
But when i enable wifi the apps are working fine and i can connect to the market/icq/google talk...
That bug is kinda strange.
Edit: 2G seems to be buggy, i clicked on only 2 G networks and after 10 seconds he is loosing the 2G signal... after another 10 seconds its active again.
But 3G is working (i can open any website i want to) fine (except that i cant use any app with internet access).
The provider signal is really fine, so thats not the problem.
Is there an app that can not only switch off my data but also switch to 2G while i am connected to wifi or my screen is turned off (i have better 2g signal in my area)?
the ideal app should be able to switch between these settings
screen off
2G, data on at xx min intervals (for sync,similar to 2x battery), no wifi.
screen on but locked : as above
screen on unlocked
search wifi - if available connect and keep 2G. If not available, switch wifi off, turn on 3G+data.

But you need a modified rom for that. Either you modify it yoursef (see thread) or use a pre-modified one. Some people say, it's quite good, some say it makes the phone a bit instable.
I used it myself with a gueste ROM and was satified with the funktions. It really worked. But I had some problems with wifi then. Well, you could give it a try.

At first glance the CM6 people seem to have problems. I am running CM7 temasek KANG 204-20 with vadonka's kernel. I'll download the zip and try it via CWM. Will report back
i think the mobile network settings get ignored when wifi is enabled, whe i have it disabled and use 2g only i always have max connection but when wifi is enabled or 3g network i have very low connection when it changes to 3g wcdma...
i searched for an app to display the status of whe network and tried hidden menu but it seema its not getting updates while wifi is enabled:/
anyone experiencing similar behaviors?

so. after some hours testing i can say that it works for me. i use it in conjunction with battery 2x.
when my screen is off toggle2g switches to 2G network and 2x battery enables data every 15min for sync.
when the screen is on battery 2x re-enables data but it remains in 2g network thanks to toggle2g (i have selected the option to manually re-enable 3g)
when i turn my wifi on toggle2g switches to 2g network (although it takes some time.. like 10-15s)
so.. these 2 apps seem to do the trick for me. Lost 9% over the night (still don't know if it's good or bad) and used to lose about 20%.

I'm trying to solve this annoying (big) problem.
I have CM7.2 by Xperiafan V5 as ROM
and X8_07-ICS_Alfs as kernel.
but this problem happened also in other ROMS GDX mainly used up 1 week ago.
The problem is: I use my wi-fi connection for a while, even 3-5 days. No problem.
Then when I reactivate wi-fi it seems looking for I dont know what and it rest activated but not connect my network.
I tried to change advanced settings: channels, rescan...
Nothing works...
The only solution is:
1) I have to manually delete all networks
2) disable wi-fi
3) then enable it again so it this time rescan correctly the networks
4) re-select my network
5) re-insert the pwd.
Sometime, as 1 time on 5-6, even this dont works, so I have to add after point 1 do a REBOOT and it works :-/ :-| :-/

I have the same problem but I,switch the Wifi off and re activate it I find networks.

enable wifi using 'stock' wifi on mobile, and scan network with this... I have no problems with this anymore
Which of WiFi security type do You use ? There are problems with gaining IP address from WPA/WPA2-PSK.
I have problems to, but what I'm doing is:
1). Connect [it's telling me, that it's out of range]
2). I simply press "scan" and that's all
i think most people know this tool or similar tools, i searched for an option to switch beetween netwok states automatically
to save battery .....
here's my combination that i use currently

This is so much apps for a single feature. I recommend Tasker for doing such things. It's worth every single penny for it.

I dont think, Tasker can toggle 2G/3G ... (no tool that I found until yet can do it)
Hi to all,
I'm new to this forum so I will post my problem here. I have flash latest version of 10.2 CM Team Cajica (20140104) on my device. First I have a problem with network data mode. None of 2G or 3G mode seems to work. I discover that Network mode is not set. I set to 2G|3G and after reboot the data mode has begin to work. Another issue is that after a reboot the wifi is automatically activated and the wifi tile is not stopping the wifi connection, so I have to stop it from the main settings menu, but after that, the live tile is working as expected, activating or deactivating the wifi.

GSM signal problem
After few days, I notice that when I activate the Bluetooth or sometime but not every time the WIFI the GSM signal suddenly drops and it came back only if I activate data mode. Is this a know bug of this latest build?
Also, I use flip over action to switch off my clock alarm, but in this latest version it seems broken. Can someone help me with some hints?
