Xda app ads

Hi guys,
Today I flashed back to stock in prep for the OTA. I fkashed back the rom and left it on the charger to charge to 100%. I didnt have the time to root yet. I ve always used adfree on my nex7, however since im not rooted atm i dont have it on my nex7. And heres the problem: every time i click a post/forum/subforum on the xda app a fricking porn site opens in front of me. It quickly says mobile.juicyads before it goes to the porn site. Is this normal or is my device infected?

Unless you opt-out it will show custom made ads for YOU.
Yes, ads are displayed by the content of the most webpages you visit (on mobile)
So if the porn sites are among your mostly viewed pages, you will get porn ads.

i'd agree with you since that's what i know about ads, too. but, and of course nobody will believe me, i did not watch/read any porn/porn-related stuff on that device ... otherwise i wouldn't have bothered reporting this.

Hi guys.
When I unlock my screen the pop up comes.

I know this pop up comes because when I lock my data disconnects and when I unlock they shows my data charges.
But it can be prevented if I stay online whether screen is locked or unlocked or by blocking that pop ups.
I have installed many messaging softwares like WhatsApp,viber, hike, gtalk, yahoo messenger.....
So can anyone help me to solve this problem??

Thanks for trying for me but it's not working for me.
Done all settings still pop ups are coming as earlier.

Contact your service provider. Ask them if it is posibble for them to stop that service for you. Mine used to pop up similar message to tell me thank you for paying my bills lol

Everyone is saying that it works. Have you tried rebooting after applying your settings?
Also, if restart didn't make it work you can just ask the people (and the dev) on that thread for further help. There's actually a couple other threads like yours even in XDA.

[How To] Unlock 50Gb of storage on Box.com (for life!)

[2/20] It seems to be still working, and if you clean up the app in the settings, you can repeat the trick as many times as you want (with multiple accounts)
Also, I was told that it works with the Nexus 5 !​
As it worked well in my country (france), I wished to share a nice trick with you. It might not work in your country, in this case this thread wil just have to be deleted

At this moment, it should be done and you normaly have your 50Gb
6- To check it, go into the settings of the app (you must be logged in, as well), you should see this :
If it worked fine, please let me know and maybe click on the
button

This is incorrect. It's 50GB lifetime.
So how long will I get the 50GB? Will my account ever be downgraded to 5GB?
Once you get your 50GB Box account, you’ll never be downgraded. The limited part of this promotion is that you only have until December 31, 2012 to get the upgrade; once you have it, the space is yours for the life of the account.

It seems not to have been arround for a long time for everybody

I signed up to Box when they first started out and got 50GB for life. I believe its still the same.

I thought the question was "how long does this promotion been here?"
The 50GB is of course life time.
1 year was referring to how long this promotion been live.

nice,,, i just register and verify the registration. when i log in on the PC the account only have 5 gb. But i log in from the Nexus 4 them went to the settings to see that i have 50 GB free for LIFE............
i check the account on the pc to make sure and the 50 gb are there. ( since I use to have a SG3 I got 50 GB on dropbox, but only until 03/2014, after that i will stay with Box.com)

You obviously don't know the definition of fake.
Its not fake its a BETA version of BBM and ONLY allows login for Approved testers.
Whats hard to grasp? Its not fake it's full code that is restricted to the selected beta testers.
Just because You cannot login does not equal it fake. Don't throw same around If you don't know what it means.

They started rolling out 25GB to people who installed Quick Office last month; looks like it's spreading further.

I installed Quick office (not even in Google keyboard!) Last month but did not get any such notification/update. Nonetheless my storage got updated
