Hi everybody,
is there any way to connect an USB device to my rooted kindle? When i try to mount an USB stick the file manager does not recognize it.
No there has to be coding added to the kernel and that isn't developed yet... maybe someday

Try to flash latest cmw via odin..look for it in galaxy mini development.
Sent via sgm cm7 rc5.6 by squadzone.

Redownload the ROM.. might be a corrupted download.. try to install other ROMs to test if you cwm is working..

error status 7 ...
the cause is the "meta-inf" just change it.

of which type your device is GSM or cdma please check your model no. if it us other than gt-s5570 then you will need to make some changes in the updater script of the zip you are flashing
aprizND : how i change META-INF? kitrax: is a ROM created by me other ROMs work fine
Sign your Rom zip file with SignApk. You will be able to flash it then.
No way it displays the same error... Something about this: raw_image (temp/boot 'boot')

Hey bro.. Copy/paste a META-INF folder by another rom and you can flash without problem

that means the write_raw_image command is written wrong
just make the correction and you would be able to flash the package

How do you suggest to do it? Unpack the zip file? Or how coz I have the same problem and can't solve it. I am not the best in repacking flashable zips. Have never done it before.

Its simple easy change update bin in meta-inf with the update bin in meta inf in the rom
hey guyz i am trying to port a rom i have read a tutorial in dev section they have just given the steps but am i am confused that can we port a rom from a higher devices or not..?
guyz please help...

i think you can, but will be veeeeeery buggy! first for screen resolution!

U need to edit all image files in framework-res.apk ,phone.apk etc...

Look at me, i have a problem with mi galaxy ace v.2.3.6
When i connect the USB cable in my computer, the phone don´t show nothing!! It´s not detected.
I tried with Kies, depuration...
Some solution?

Ok there are a few things i suggest you try/check:
Do you have the correct drivers installed on your desktop?
If not these need to be installed.
Is Usb debugging enabled on your device?
This option can be found in your settings.
Is your usb cable damaged or old?
Try a differt cable.

The problem is from galaxy ace. The pc works ok with others samsungs.
The cable and others its ok... cables works ok.
And the debugging is active.

This afternoon I've been "playing" a bit with my brother's Mac.. MacOs is very different from windows and, as you know, you cannot use Odin.. so I tried to use heimdall, but it doesn't recognise my s advance!! Drivers are installed (even kies recognise it)..
So.. is heimdall compatible with our s advance? Or should I use Odin??

Samsung Kies installs a kernel extension which prevents Heimdall from claiming the device. You need to remove the kexts installed by Samsung Kies.

Even I have a Mac!! You can use a software called Parallels or VM Ware to install Windows on your Mac and run both at the same time

After flashing my Galaxy Mini to this ROM:

I have a problem with the USB connection. It worked with CM7, but now the Settings seem to be buggy. On my Galaxy S3 it is not possible to select MTP and PTP at the same time, but when I opened the settings to chose the connection type the settings crashed and now both settings are set and there is no recognition of the phone with any PC or Notebook.
Any suggestions what I can do?
