Usually the routers at certain workplaces block certain ports, which can in turn make some apps not able to connect to the internet. At my workplace, I cannot install apps via Google Play, and certain other apps do not work.
Perfectly normal.
Hi I've searched the forums for a solution to this, it seems to be a common issue across multiple platforms.
I haven't been able to find a concrete reason for the error or a solution.
Can anyone enlighten me on how to overcome this please? Any further details required let me know:
Rooted fire hd on 7.2.3
Trying to install met office app and Vodafone app and google maps, and others same error every time.
Thanks

xamol,
Sorry for the delay, we have bee busy today. If I understand you correctly, you are using Google Play Store, when you
go to some of the applications like Google Maps, Google Play responds with:
"Your device isn't comparable with this version"
The reason is that Google Play does a simple hardware inventory, saves it to an XML file, this XML file is
queried by certain software vendors. In the case of Google Maps, the Kindle is missing a GPS device,
this is the reason for the error. Now, we have been able to "side load" Google Maps, Latitude, Local, Navigation
and many others, you can take a peek here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36121991 if you need any help, just send us a
message. We have been able to side-load many applications.
Hi guys. I'm new to all this WP stuff and I've searched high and low for a (native?) google+ app that's capable of providing location sharing (to circles) and (less of a priority) hangouts. I've read somewhere that Google gave access to its API so that there's a chance of google apps emerging on WP. Is there any such thing?
Thanks in advance

I'm not really into google ecosystem so maybe i'm wrong but i doubt such apps exist on WP store as google historically is trying to hunt down all that is WP related, closing API's and not allowing google services on this OS.
Hi all,
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 and followed exactly this guide to get Google Services on my device.
It is on "gizmag.com" and can be found under "how-to-install-google-apps-kindle-fire-hd-hdx/30736"
Main reason was the Google+ to save the Clash of Clans progress.
So what I have now, neither Clash of Clans is starting anymore nor a bunch of other apps.
I am really lost because I am a noob when it comes to Computers, but maybe some of you can help me out?
Thanks in advance
Simon

Hello @NestalSright
All Aps work differently some require google play services, other don't. Google Maps works offline with no problem but the Open Gapps needs to be flash, that maybe the case for maps.me.
I just tried HERE we go:
https://apkpure.com/here-wego-%E2%80%93-city-navigation/com.here.app.maps/download/1499111-APK-d8609aa06668ff1a2d19a14c5f902159?from=variants%2Fversion
Also it will help to install a Fake GPS location App:
https://apkpure.com/fake-gps-location/com.lexa.fakegps
Both listed Apps can be downloaded to PC using a web browser and then install on tablet.
Attached are screenshots using Evervol 7.1.2, but it should work with all the ROMS.
