[Q]Any chance to get Theme Manager on Rasbean 4.2.1? - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Hey, I'm searching for a developer who could make ThemeManager.apk and ThemeChooser.Apk run on Rasbean Jelly 4.2.1!
I freakin love this rom cause its stable and super reliable with Matr1x 25.0 Kernel! But this is the only feature I'm missing so badly.
Thank you.

Should do, Im not to sure but I think it does because it has loads of languages
Looks ok...I guess. Would've been cooler to see a truly new AOSP rom than oxeygen with your edits bolted on. Atleast simple rom renamers have given a kickstart to wildfire development.

Yeah sorry! I was looking for a clean AOSP 2.3.7 but all I could find is Oxygen.
If you can find me a clean AOSP that doesn't need resizing thats android 2.3.7 I will use it!

Yeah, both of those WERE my options but in the end I decided I didn't want to go resizing everything. Building looked quite long and a hefty task so I left it. But maybe soon I might get a AOSP rom and resize, if you could help find me one I will mention you in my post. I'll call it "Even More Feathers" haha hopefully I'll start soon, I'm uploading v0.2 in a second improved a huge amount of things

There was a guide floating around this section from xbdg about compiling gingerbread AOSP for the wildfire and incorporating some of the CM team fixes. (Video recording, faster UI and such!) I will try and find this if you'd be willing to try it out. The tutorial was based on 2.3.5 at the time, But since its using the AOSP sources. The end rom should be 2.3.7

Looks good man, thanks for this, the Wildfire will be looking for more leaner AOSP-based ROMs to keep it zippy...will flash if I can clean my SD card out for Nandroid backups

What is? The rom is based on oxygen. Which is 2.3.7.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Don't worry if it says 2.3.5, it is 2.3.7 because the user that ported the rom previously used DevNull ( 2.3.5) and he copied the build.prop file over to the Oxygen rom so basically it says 2.3.5 but its 2.3.7
then change in the build.prop from 2.3.5 to 2.3.7 when is basically on it ;D
Oh look another Oxygen winzippah...
@mrweqa - any chance of sharing the changes you've made (eg to GPS), so I can look at integrating them into Oxygen?
With regards to the 2.3.5 & 2.3.7 confusion - Oxygen is built from the 2.3.7 sources, but identifies itself as 2.3.5 for Market compatibility reasons.
Add (Replace is SUPL's are already there) this to /system/etc/gps.conf
SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com

The sony ericsson has a slightly faster, more stable gps

its depending on your desire..
but if you like stock rom but performance inclued..
you can try rom sony hd
I think the best for customrom now is Cyanmobile, it's really smooth I've ever tried But for stockrom you may try the latest version cz Iit has been fixed the problem from the previous version CMIIW
For me it's kittenlinux because it's clean and have Squad kernel with lots of Governors and stuff. Can't be better.
I think mebitek's CM7.2 RC1 ROM is the best. It is stable, it is customization and has a great sound quality(Can use DSP Manager, Beats, and BraviaMegaBass, simultaneously).
I like cyanmobile, it has great performance, no bugs and very amount of customization. But I also like (and I'm using now) MIUI, because of its beautiful interface and SO smooth system.
Go trying the huge amount of custom roms, the one you like the most, you keep it

Need some help with Paranoid Android......

Hi all......
I want to use Paranoid Android as my daily driver.
There seem to be a few variants, which one is best?????
I don't have the time to rebuild my Note multiple times to test them all.
Between work and kids I am lucky to get 30 minutes to play with dev on my Note!!!
I've read the OPs and further into the threads but I can't work our which will be best.
I need stability and speed (although it looks like HydraCore will cover the speed angle ).
I have a lot of apps I've bought from Play so I need to get those back on PA also.
I am sure there are a lot of experienced PA users out there that can guide me.
Any advice much appreciated.

Pa 0.5 cm9
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Hello FabreFaction, as sahilarora2003 has suggested, have a thorough read and look at ParanoidAndroid v0.5 which is based on Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.4).
Here is the link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662802.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the pointers to PA 0.5.
I was wondering what the difference between PA 0.5 and the other variants, e.g.:
[JB:CM10:HYBRD] PARANOIDANDROID [1.991, True HybridMode, Size & UI on Per App Basis]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797698
[ROM][ICS 4.0.4] PARANOIDANDROID v0.5 [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][14/07]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662802&highlight=paranoidandroid
Is it simply that one is CM10 and the other CM9???
Also, PA 0.5 doesn't seem to be being developed, are we expecting PA 0.6????
Any advice much appreciated.

CM10 is a Jelly Bean beta rom and CM9 is an ice cream sandwich rom. I don't think there will be a v06 release of paranoid because v05 is so stable and most devs are knee deep into working on Jelly Bean roms for this device.

Best performanse rom?

What is best performanse rom?
It really depends what you want - for ICS probably Texasice, Sense 3 - Runny Rom for N1, etc.
Stock android usually is quicker (something like CM but if you want a different look there're always themes)

I'm currently running reider123s CM10.1 rom, it runs smoothly and most features work. I'm a fan of either sense or stock - had the Runny rom yet it was very slow, CM10 is great for what I use my phone for

Well, it's jelly bean so it will be a bit different. Depends on what you run.
Might be worth looking at reider123s paranoid android - very popular and quite smooth from what I hear

Hello, it come down to personal preference.
Why you might asked? some person are light android users (like myself), some are flash-holics.
I've tried a few the best so far is 2.3.7 CM 7.2. works flawlessly.
Currently using 4.2.2 CM 10.1 and i must say i'm still in blown away with the performance.
Thanks for this thread.

Not smooth as well. :/ It have good performanse but not fast to open apps.
using the [ROM][DEV][JB][4.2.2] AOKP for Passion Unofficial Nightlies
I'm using the [ROM][DEV][JB][4.2.2] AOKP for Passion Unofficial Nightlies
even donated to the developer, impressive.
can even be patched using autopatcher to support pdroid,
The GB ROMS such as CM 7.2, MIUI 2.3.30 are very smooth and stable. MIUI especially offers a degree of customization not seen in most other ROMs. However, my only problem with these ROMs is the slow Write speed they've got - copying files to the SD card is a drag even if you have a class 10.
The JB ROMs (esp. 4.2.1 VJ) are very smooth and almost stable ( Camcorder, Tethering, Faulty 3G), but they kernel is optimized for faster transfers. If you can live with the niggles I mentioned, JB ROMs are the way to go.
